Hi Fred , I must say you are looking remarkably spruce after your recent ordeal !
I won’t mention your age ?

Doodle Tue 04-Aug-20 11:05:30

Oh Fred you are indeed a most handsome gentleman.
Once can sense you are indeed of good character. I do hope the tinnitus and vertigo improve, though I’m not sure sitting on a washing line all day is a good idea. I hope you make a good recovery. ?

Charleygirl5 Tue 04-Aug-20 11:06:11

Fred after that treatment I would seriously consider looking for another abode. There are many houses where you will be taken in and looked after as a gentleman should instead of being thrown into a washing machine and then left outside in the scorching sun. I would also make a formal complaint.

You must rest today.

One asleep the 5yr old is helping GrandpaGravy. Obviously I have to stay on the sofa cuddling him ?‍♀️

Purplepixie Tue 04-Aug-20 11:25:14

Good morning all in this lovely warm kitchen. I’ve just dropped some apple pies off in the fridge for all to share. Someone will have to make the custard as I am knackered!

Grannygravy - Oh what a sweetie - I just want a cuddle! Fabulous.

GrannyGravy13 Tue 04-Aug-20 11:42:29

Thank you purplepixie he is the youngest of our eight GC. (and I think probably our last)
I was fortunate to be there when he was born and DD and family were in lockdown with us so he has been here for most of his 7 months.

Puzzler61 Tue 04-Aug-20 11:46:58

Grannygravy* He Is Adorable! Looks so peaceful, how could you not snuggle up alongside? ?

Puzzler61 Tue 04-Aug-20 11:48:27

Purplepixie I’m onto the custard - and have clotted cream as an extra/alternative.
Thank you for such delicious pies ! ?

Purplepixie Tue 04-Aug-20 11:49:04

Poor Fred - sending hugs.

Sorry if I don’t mention everyone - hugs to you all.

Thank you for all of your kind words over the last few days. I am having a wobbly time but I will get through it.

Have the best day possible and stay safe. I’ll be back later with some hot whisky toddies.

Purplepixie Tue 04-Aug-20 11:50:52

Oh and I have mixed tinned pears with one of the pies as I was running out of cooking apples - enjoy. Puzzler - thank you for offering to do the custard and bringing along the cream - yummy. flowers

GrannyGravy13 Tue 04-Aug-20 12:03:45

Oh I love apple and pear pie, thank you purplepixie

Charleygirl5 Tue 04-Aug-20 12:13:45

GrannyGravy what a lovely young man. He does not look as though butter could melt in his mouth and is perfect always. No doubt he has a healthy pair of lungs- I would love to cuddle him but definitely hand him back.

grannygravy he is lovely. We all want cuddles ?
purplepixie, hang in there. Hope your wobbles pass soon.
Custard for me please puzzler I love it ?

GrannyGravy13 Tue 04-Aug-20 14:21:31

purplepixie I think most of us have had a wobble, be kind to yourself ?

Puzzler61 Tue 04-Aug-20 14:27:32

Coming up Doodle.
The Kitchen is fortunate today - my custard and my gravy are always 50-50. There’s half a chance either could be lumpy.
You’re lucky, today it’s turned out nice and smooth ?

Puzzler61 Tue 04-Aug-20 14:28:57

Purplepixie I’m adding the whisky to your portion of custard to help you over your wobble. It will pass, in the meantime come here and rest awhile. ?

Grandmabatty Tue 04-Aug-20 16:57:44

My little grandson before he had his curls lopped off last week. He is adorable. But today he has a fat lip as he fell off my footstool and face planted the floor. Poor wee man. Chocolate chip cake helped. grandmafrench belated happy birthday. I shall toast your health with a wee red wine. Then probably doze.

soop Tue 04-Aug-20 17:28:39

Wow! Wonderful photographs of much loved members of the family. The babes are beyond huggable, and Fred bear is a mighty handsome dude.

This is a very brief visit. The roads are flooded in areas. We went to the wrong venue for MacS's scalp zap. He assured me that he had Googled the car park in which we sat for thirty minutes. I suggested that he should phone for reassurance. He said "no need". I then realised that if I waited in the car with him, by the time he'd been zapped, I would be too late for the hair appointment. I set of in the piddling rain and walked back into town. When, eventually, MacS popped his head round the salon's door, he admitted that was indeed waiting in the wrong carpark. I did not utter the words...I told you so. wink

Anyway, after the phone call (that I had suggested), he was directed elsewhere. His head is a bloody mess. Two large growths have been sliced away and he is well plastered (dressing-wise.) Another area will have to be dealt with on another occasion.
My hair is short. I shall "tiddle" with it all evening and share a photo with you all tomorrow.

Sorry to have to be in a mad dash. I hope that tomorrow will permit me time to linger and catch up.

Thinking of you all smile moon

Grandmafrench Tue 04-Aug-20 17:36:33

Fredbear I can’t be sure if your gorgeous plush tummy, that lovely window or the wonderful view is the thing I like best about the photo, but very well done for pulling up your newly dried trousies and making a big effort to put paws to keyboard whilst that naughty Izabella is distracted elsewhere. I expect you’ve forgiven her for the unpleasant laundry incident by now - least said, soonest mended, hopefully.

Some beautiful babbas making an appearance. The little ‘monkey’ sleeping on Grandma is adorable and what a cheeky little face on Grandmabattys little treasure. Hate it when they hurt themselves, hope he suffers no sore lip by tomorrow. I’m honoured to be the subject of a birthday toast ?... I’m sure you’re ready for a wee wine (and a doze) ?. Child-sharing is actually quite a clever thing IMO. It actually allows adults to have a bit of a rest between bouts, cos no matter how loved they are, they don’t half make you tired! (or was that just me??)

Hope all has gone well in soop land today. Hope you are feeling less fragile, purplepixie and that there’s enough custard to go around ?!! Sending remains of my ? chestnut ice cream cake for sharing. Take care. Hugs x

Puzzler61 Tue 04-Aug-20 17:37:32

Oh what a buggeration soop.
Re: the car park - these mistakes are easily made. When you’re short of time and it’s raining it’s so easy for a frenzied panic to set in.
I hope you like your hair when you’ve titivated it.
MacS has had a bad time of it - his poor head will be a patchwork. (In my family my brother had one of these sun damaged spots sliced from the back of his hand - he served in the heat of Koala Lumpur in his young days - my sister had a sun damage spot carved out of her cheek last year, I had a bit burned off the side of my nose, and my nephew is awaiting an op to dig deeper into a patch of sun damage on his back).
We’re not Celtic but we all have that pale skin and red toned hair.
I wish both of you a gentle evening and a good night’s sleep.
Everything will look better in the morning.
God Bless ?

Puzzler61 Tue 04-Aug-20 17:39:14

Grandmabatty your darling GS is a beautiful youngster,
even with a fat lip. Accidents happen.
It’s a wonder my DD1 has knees - she was a child who always ran, never walked, and she had many tumbles and always took the top off her knees.

Puzzler61 Tue 04-Aug-20 17:41:14

Chestnut ice cream cake sounds extremely tempting Grandmafrench -is that a speciality of the South of France?
May I try some please?

GrannyGravy13 Tue 04-Aug-20 17:46:02

Grandmabatty he is a cutie.

Grandmafrench Tue 04-Aug-20 17:46:31

Oh soop. There.Are.No.Words! I almost tipped over when you mentioned floods? Poor MacS. Do hope he won’t have pain and can sleep soundly. You will doubtless spend the night ‘tiddling’ with your new coiffure! Relax now, both. x

Puzzler61 Tue 04-Aug-20 17:46:49

I was distracted by that young man’s photograph and ice cream cake - I popped in to put new flowers in the new kitchen. They are still closed up right now.

I hope no one minds the peppery scent of stocks - I find it almost hypnotic (am I going a bit weird?) ? Answers on a post card please .......
