Soop's welcoming kitchen for kindly caring folk...

We just get the crooning sounds of amorous pigeons. Another young pair are building a new nest just over the boundary of our garden.
It’s an arduous task - they fly frantically to and fro with often just 2 twigs in their beaks.
I just wish their flight path wasn’t over my patio table - I find myself ducking !!
I don’t think we have owls Grandmaf, but to be honest all the larger birds can be a bit annoying if you’re trying to snooze. ? ?

Freyer I am sad to learn that you've had a lousy experience on one of the Gransnet forums. Should you ever reconsider joining us again in the kitchen, you will be made very welcome. I may even bake you a happy come-back cake.

This morning, a marvellous bouquet of lilies, white roses, delphinium, iris and the rest, was delivered and left in our entrance hall. I wish that the sender could have seen my expression when I discovered the gift of flowers. I shall pm the kind kitchener, and below, for us all to share, is the bouquet.

We are lucky and also have owls. They hoot late evening-time. It's a spooky sound.

Just got into my car after lunch out with girlfriends (in a beautiful tearoom garden) the car is saying 37 degrees .......top down air conditioning as low as possible I might just stay here (car top down not mine ?)

GrannyGravy Once upon a time I drove a sports car. It was cherry red and I enjoyed driving with the hood down. Played havoc with my hair!

Watch the silly minded folk flock close together in the sunshine. Why won't they listen, take heed and do the sensible thing? Is it too much to expect after thousands of people have died from the virus that is nowhere near under control? I could weep with frustration.

As you may have guessed, I shall be celebrating birthday 79 tomorrow. Yay! It will be a day of simple pleasures that I shall enjoy every moment of.

Our "bubble pals" from the village, will join us for lunch in the restaurant that we choose for celebrations whenever we get the opportunity. The atmosphere is perfect. The food is delicious. Outside the restaurant is the pretty garden centre. I may be tempted to buy a potted plant.

As I know from experience, it will be a chatty day on the phone. I may not be able to pop into our kitchen until late afternoon. When I do, I shall send each of you a virtual hug and we'll share a slice of calorie-rich cake and a glass of cheer.

I think it is a combination of bad reactions and the heat.He has to be weaned off his medication to have the tests he needs so I think we will be anxious for the next ten days until he has the tests.

I really can’t thank you all enough for the support you have given me and my family since Henry first became unwell.I don’t think I would have coped as well as I have without you.

It's not often that I sneak into Soop's Kitchen but I just had to poke my head round the door to wish Soop a Very Happy Birthday indeed! I hope you have a lovely day, filled with all good things. I'd have made you a cake but you wouldn't have liked it Soop!
