New Confidence

I bought a pair of diamante encrusted Skechers with thick soles. However, I was a bit embarrassed to wear them and gave them to DD1 in the end.

I often see clothes that I like the look of, but then imagine them on my short chunky frame and know that I would look ridiculous!
soop showed some new Rieker shoes which I fancy, but I will check the price and width before deciding.

I bought myself a pair of what I thought were cutting edge trainers a few years ago from eBay. When one of my daughters saw them she asked what they were for, hanging out with my homies?

She was right. They went straight to the charity shop.

A year ago I came across Lotus Relife trainers/shoes in a small out of the way ladies wear shop. Their design was innovative without being garish. I have to say they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I went back and got a dark pair for winter. This year I hunted down a local stockist and have just bought another two pairs, one light with some silver and the other dark with an animal print.
They are also on line.

Not sure about bolder, I've certainly got balder as the years go by!

Pink highlights in hair, bright colourful sneakers if I like it I wear it,

My style hasn’t really changed - I wear quite high heels and wedges when going out. The only thing I’ve relented in slightly is I wear lower heels when I’m walking a long way - eg day of shopping pre-Covid. I expect one day I’ll sprain my ankle or worse, but until then.....? Skirts, dresses, shorts are knee length or longer now but I love ‘off the shoulder‘ tops and dresses on a sunny day....with a high wedge of course ??Anything sparkly is great too! We’re a long time in that box so make the most of today ?

Love Rieker from their boots to their trainers to their sandals! I walk great in them they are so comfortable. I've been know to trip before I discovered them. The only make for me now!

Altho I loathe the “mutton dressed as lamb” look, I do like to shake my wardrobe up now and again, and get out of the comfort zone. I often get asked where I buy certain clothes, so that makes me feel good !

What does it matter what other people, wear what you want, when you want and as often as you want to.
As long as you are happy that's the main concern. ?

No- always been up for whatever was in fashion at the time!!

I wear what I'm comfy in mainly, but love bright colours and still wear jeans and don't care what people think.
I don't have a lot of time for being fashionable; I live in the countryside and it's more about keeping dry and being warm.
But I do have some pretty tops etc for when I go out to lunch.

I love fashion, and was very flattered recently when my son-in-law said he couldn't understand why his mother (who is about 10 years younger than me) couldn't dress more stylishly 'like you do'.

I think when you get a certain age you should dress as you want . I have gone pass , what other people really think . These days I dress for comfort and that includes foot wear .

Definitely bolder! I have some great pink patent shoes, comfortable but different. I also have flower- patterned trousers (not worn with the pink shoes!) On several occasions complete strangers have told me how much they like both of them - great for the older ego.

Classic shapes and styles in strong, natural fabrics have always suited me best - being quite chunky. However I love colour - bright Summer colour, and I loathe the style of M&S classics range most of the time.
As for footwear, I try to find comfort and style. Once again the broad feet are best in a classic style in a bold colour.
Am tinkering with the idea of some highlights in my frosted donkey hair.

I bought some trendy overalls and I got told I was wearing them back to front a few years ago. Not so confident then.

I thought my shoes were very grannyish but have had a few younger people ask where I bought my colourful trainers and patterned MJs. Obviously makes they would never look at - Skechers and Fitflops!

Lots of younger people are quite happy to wear grannyish shoes with their stylish outfits - it looks trendy on them.

I don't really care as long as my feet are not hurting.

Shysal I saw my friend last week and she was wearing the sparkly Sketchers, they looked great and I fancied them myself.
She is 78 and I am a lot older, wear them please.

My style is very bohemian...love linen dresses and my cotton baggy dungarees. I have always rebelled in the way I dress. My feet though...they have to be comfortable. Having seen my father suffer with his feet because of shoes worn when young I have always been careful with shoes. I do love flat lace up ankle boots though. Never been a glitter person. Suppose I am an ancient hippy...hahaha

80 year old relative wears outfits that I feel uncomfortable in ,she always looks great!
