What is your most hated chore?

My most hated is washing up.
The dishwasher has just packed up, and I can’t get to John Lewis quickly enough!
Yet I have read about people who have a dishwasher and don’t use it! Madness!
The thought of all that yucky washing up after cooking the evening meal really makes my heart sink.
First World problems and all that, but none of us is perfect.

I loathe putting away the shopping. I’ve gone from having a huge kitchen with umpteen cupboards and a walk in larder to a tiny one with limited cupboard space. Everything balances on everything else and topples over. A complete nightmare
I hate the thought of ironing but once I start, I actually quite enjoy it. It’s quite therapeutic and I ‘think’ a lot while doing it ?

Ironing, ironing. Ironing and again ironing so don’t do it.
Got a self cleaning oven. My dd gets her cleaned by a steaming process.

Lovebeigecardigans buy a Dyson easy for cleaning the stairs just use the hand held bit.
My pet hate, gardening. Done some today, prefer housework at least you can look at room when cleaned and admire your handy work. Gardening is never done

I don't mind food shopping, even with a mask on, but I loathe putting it away. I try to have a system whereby the fridge is clear and tidy before I go, the shopping is packed logically ( fridge/freezer, larder, bread bin, fruit bowl, utility, wine rack.....but I still hate it and generally refuse to cook on shopping day, all that food puts me off. In fact, I hate cooking, although I love baking. Will knock up a batch of cakes, cookies, bread ( even fancy ones), but dislike 'sensible cooking' like dinner. If I lived alone, I wouldn't bother, it would be crackers, cheese, sliced apple type eating, other than home made soup which I quite enjoy making. I don't iron bedding, but run the iron over some clothes as needed, and a pile of fresh ironing is quite satisfying. I have a problem with skirting boards too, bending is tricky and knealing is a complete nono at the moment. I find cleaning the bathrooms strangely satisfying though. I love a clean house, but not keen on the work involved! Like lemon I use an oven cleaning person, when he came here after lockdown I could have hugged him, but didn't of course! Funnily enough he reported being very very busy, he put it down to all the lockdown baking going on grin

Most of it to be honest these days. I used to be so spick and span.
Since lockdown I can't get motivated. I would rather be doing jobs in the garden.

Taking the bins out. But since lockdown actually any household chore. It's endless and no longer have that thing that I can take myself out to lunch, without worrying.

ironing first , ironin second to ironing last. they can put men on the moon but cannot invent something that never needs ironing? so called clothes that never need ironing do not exist but just false advertising.

Tbh I hate all domestic chores! I only iron if we are going out somewhere where others might notice! I have never ironed sheets underclothes, towels , pillowslips and many other items in my life!! Ironing bed linen? why? who's going to notice? My least favourite chore is tidying up! Mr JW is very untidy and drives me mad! He is however, a good cook, which does mitigate things somewhat!
