Good Morning Everyone,
Another twilight start to the day , but its dry , my usual day of Buckingham and Bicest.er.
Will have coffees and eats plus browse .
Need a new duvet as mine is long over due for regalement.
Watch the drama unfold with the Tour De France , which is close to entering the Alps and Jura regions on TV , maybe a Chinese take away later .
Take Care ,
Mick

Urmstongran Sat 12-Sept-20 08:07:19

Thanks everyone. I know to keep hydrating it just that doing so necessitates a dash somewhere ...
?

Sorry you’ve joined me in the sick bay kitty.

Marydoll I think you or Maw ought to be matron as messing about would not be tolerated!

Nannytopsy Sat 12-Sept-20 08:09:10

Good Morning Mick and all his followers. Bright and a bit breezy in Suffolk this morning. I am thinking that if it is darker when you get up, then maybe you should stay in bed a bit longer? ?
Get well soon Urmstongran & Kitty. Any issues here are caused by overindulgence in rhubarb and date cake! blush
It is the village litter pick this morning so boots and gardening gloves are the order of the day. To be honest, I can’t remember seeing any litter so it may not be too arduous.
I hope today is kind to everyone.

Good morning from a bright but chilly South Yorkshire.

Afternoon tea is booked for today - it had to be postponed due to Covid. We had two afternoon tea vouchers as Christmas gifts and this is the second one.

I do hope you both soon feel better, kitty and urms ?.

Thinking of our absent GM's and hope they are feeling stronger with each passing day. ?

Take care folks.

Good morning from sunny Colchester.
Spending the day rearranging future plans because of changes brought about by the Covid announcements. No doubt they'll be changed again before long.
We're in for a mini heatwave here so I'll be raising a glass in the garden later.

Grandmabatty Sat 12-Sept-20 08:25:39

Good morning All. It's cloudy and breezy. I'm off to do a shop and later dgs is having a sleep over. That means an early rise. I hope he sleeps through the night though. Fingers crossed. The elements for my decoupage class on Monday are being delivered today. I've been feeling a bit down for a few days. So I'm trying to busy myself to get out of it. Have a good weekend all.

Elizabeth1 Sat 12-Sept-20 08:31:38

Good morning everyone is it Saturday already? The suns shining here onthe east coast of Fife although with my bedroom window open wide to the elements there appeared to be a cold north wind blowing through. Me I’m just going to have a rest day I’ve been very fortunate to have been out for lunch with my these past few days however I’m feeling quite tired.

Gelisajams Sat 12-Sept-20 08:35:32

Good morning from a sunny, windy Morecambe Bay.
Sorry to hear you are both Kitty and Urmston are in the sick bay, get well soon both.
We were going to take little Miss who is staying with us over to Fleetwood on the little boat that runs across the estuary, but it’s low tide at the time we would want it so it plan B. This probably means taking her to the prom so she can ride her new little bike. Take care and stay safe everyone ?

TopsyIrene06 Sat 12-Sept-20 08:35:57

Good Morning All

Have been on a short walk today the first since a difficult procedure two weeks ago. I need to get fit again. Needless to say the rain is threatening but not too cold and due to improve later.
I too improved after yesterday"s support on here. Remarkable.

Lins1066 Sat 12-Sept-20 08:41:57

Good Morning Mick and all . A dry and bright start here on the S Welsh coast. DD's 12 week old puppy is going for his first walk outside today. I might tag along to see how he does, he's a sniffer so I m not sure we'll get very far! Hope Urmston and Kitty feel better soon. Take care everyone.

Nortsat Sat 12-Sept-20 08:43:10

Good morning Mick and the GM team from an overcast east London.

We got our robot vacuum cleaner going yesterday and it hoovered the downstairs. It filled its dust box, so it picked up quite a lot. It got stuck once between the fender and the sofa. I think when we are more used to it and it has fully mapped the house, it should be quite a boon. (Our cats haven’t seen it yet, not sure how that will go down).

On line grocery order today.
Then a film and a bottle of wine tonight.

One of the headlines in the Guardian this morning said that Sir David King, former chief scientific advisor to the Govt has warned that the country is on a ‘knife edge’ with the surge in the number of CV19 cases.
We need to dig deep GM’s and stay safe.

Thinking of Bluesapphire, Dragonfly and gilly and ? for those who need them. Have a lovely day, all

Stilllearning Sat 12-Sept-20 08:43:22

Morning from a locked down S Lanarkshire, as anticipated no one now allowed in anyone else’s house.
It’s hard not to feel down about it but I am looking at the terrible situation the refugees in Lesbos are enduring and trying to get it in perspective.
Hope Urmstongran and Kittylester recover quickly and that Grandmabatty gets back ‘on the up’
Have a good day everyone

grannysyb Sat 12-Sept-20 08:43:41

Good morning all, bright here and no wind which is good as DH needs to open up the bees. However his arthritis is playing up so it might have to be me! I don't go near them unless I have to! Hope all those who are feeling rough get better soon.

Grammaretto Sat 12-Sept-20 08:47:17

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Cool but not raining. Yesterday was a washout until late afternoon. I have found frogs in an accidental pond (a plastic tray filled with water, tucked partly underneath a caravan in our garden) So that lack of garden tidying has its advantages - I love frogs

I should tackle the garden this weekend.
I have just spent far too much on 3 yr old DGD's birthday present of a gardening set. They can see us grans coming.

Hope all those with ailments are quickly cured. Have a good weekend everyone.

MawB2 Sat 12-Sept-20 08:49:53

Good morning all - sorry to hear of poorly people so much sympathy to Kittylester and urmstongran on your debilitating complaints.

I am feeling very deflated at the rise in Covid cases, I suppose like the rest of us I had thought that with common sense and taking care, we could now enjoy a limited return to normality. Especially feeling for my Birmingham family, one GS has his 11-plus today ???and his brother has an actual football match for Birmingham City under 8’s against Notts (County? Forest?) on Sunday, that is if it isn’t called off. He lives for his football and the team ethic is so good for him.
I feel frustrated for them that D is expected to be with 1000 teenagers every day, without a mask or any PPE but the kids can’t have their friends over to play in the garden.
On a brighter note I am hoping Mr Postie will bring a nice new coatigan I have ordered - cue heatwave of course!
So, not the place for a moan, so I will just wish you all a pleasant day.

Greyduster Sat 12-Sept-20 08:52:30

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun has found its way out in this bit of South Yorkshire so I will send some to *Maple’s” bit immediately! DH was poorly all day yesterday - a reaction to his flu jab - but is a lot brighter this morning. He’s had reactions before but never this bad. We are supposed to be having tea with DD and her menfolk this evening. Looks like I may have to drive Big Bertha?! Now where’s the hand brake? Oh! There isn’t one! What’s this button for.....? Ah! That’ll be the ejector seat, then!!!!
Get well soon, Kitty and Urmston. Have a good safe day folks.

MawB2 Sat 12-Sept-20 08:52:43

Oh Nortsat there are wonderful videos On YouTube of cats riding round the room on robot vacuum cleaners - I hope your moggy will love it! ??

MawB2 Sat 12-Sept-20 08:53:07

Moggies ???

Anniebach Sat 12-Sept-20 09:03:28

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Susan56 Sat 12-Sept-20 09:27:05

Good morning from sunny Shropshire.

A quiet day planned after a hectic few days.

I too have been feeling down in the dumps with the new COVID restrictions and the rise in cases.Like you Maw I feel upset for my daughters and grandchildren, in fact for everyone as once again plans and activities are cancelled.

Anyway, back to today, will put on my big girls pants, count my many blessings and start planning autumn and winter activities if we are once more confined to barracks??

Have a good day all and sending ?to all with illness or worries.

Jaxjacky Sat 12-Sept-20 09:31:00

Good morning from a sunny Poole, did a fair bi t of walking yesterday, lemon sole for dinner, ribeye for other half, very yum too. Off to find crazy golf in a few minutes, blow away the cobwebs. Football later, husband a Leeds fan, so, big game at 5:30 as new to the Prem.
Hope those with poorly tummies and yucky UTI get better over the weekend, those in sadder places find some relief x

Taichinan Sat 12-Sept-20 09:59:59

Good morning from a beautiful sunny blue-skyed Angus. Many commiserations and ? to the poorly ones. I am usually 'good' with names, but I do struggle on here as I need faces to go with them! My tai chi friends and I managed to fit in a particularly lovely set between rain showers yesterday morning. It's so peaceful doing it and looking out across the water to the hills. And it acted like a sun dance too, as in the afternoon the skies cleared and the sun came out! A lazy day today wondering if a tai chi class is a social gathering - there has been no mention of the closing of gyms. I'm not really happy about going back at all. Watch this space. It's all so worrying again - it was so easy to be lulled into that false sense of security, I found. Anyway, time to stop whingeing. There are more plums to be harvested and a recipe for spiced plums to locate so that I can get freezing. Have the best day you can everyone. ???

EllanVannin Sat 12-Sept-20 10:09:41

Good Morning All x.
Cloud and sun so far and it looks as though it rained during the night.
I zonked out as soon as my head hit the pillow last night after yesterdays 4am debacle of unplugging the lifeline device. So quiet without the phone not having rang since last Tuesday and I'm sure when the engineer calls on Monday he'll get an earful grin

We're teetering on the brink of a lockdown on the Wirral, so back to square one just when you thought that things were improving. Not everyone was going to obey the rules sad

I'll have to get some more peanuts for the squirrels as I'd been giving them raw cashew nuts----like giving a donkey strawberries, but the shop had run out of their usual peanuts. Nothing much else needed.

Sorry to learn of your " bug " Urmston, boiled water for you today madam, and try not to cough grin
Also Kitty's infection---plenty of water too with a squeeze of lemon in it. Hope you both get better soon.

Anyone else suffering, hope things improve----and yes, it always seems to be weekends !

Hoping you all enjoy the day, especially if you've got a drop of good weather. Usual thoughts to our friends who are absent for the time being flowers
Enjoy the day whatever you all do.xx

HAZBEEN Sat 12-Sept-20 10:15:23

Good morning everyone! We got back yesterday from a few days away in Somerset (near Watchett) and had a great time eventually. The caravan we booked developed a boiler leak on Monday evening just after we had arrived and unpacked, water every where! The staff on site were really good, on it straight away and moved us to another caravan within 20 minutes. They upgraded us to the best type with a veranda, ensuite and right on the front line so perfect sea views. They also gave us vouchers for a meal so total win win! Even the weather was kind!
This was our last break as my treatment starts Monday and now with the rise in Covid numbers its just as well.
Hope everyone stays safe and best thoughts to all GMs suffering any health or other issues.

CherryCezzy Sat 12-Sept-20 10:23:44

Good morning everyone from Gower. Guess what, it's grey again.

Hoping to have a good day today as this week has been hard. My WP hasn't got any of his pain killers (he has chronic pain) left though so it's not going to be the easy for him especially. At least there's the footie to look forward to hmm. I love it but it does have a tendency to raise the blood pressure. It's good that Leeds Utd have made a return to the Premier League Jaxjacky.
I've used the last of last year's pears earlier that I poached and froze, just in time for the new harvest so will spend some time doing a new batch today.

Maw you didn't poach that pink coatigan from under Marydoll's nose did you? ?. Fortunately (or not ?) the heatwave will not last and you'll get plenty of wear out of it.

Get well soon kitty and Urmstongran ?

Hope all our missing posters are back with us soon. Sending each some ?.

Have the best Saturday you can all. Be kind to yourselves everyone ❤️

CaroleAnne Sat 12-Sept-20 10:33:38

Good morning Urmstrongran. I am sorry to hear that you are incapacitated re the runs.
As that can be a symptom of Covid 19 maybe it would be wise to have a test.
Hope that you will feel better soonflowers
