We have had a thread like this before, I think, but I'll never be able to find the previous one, so let's have another.

There was "I've finished washing the shopping", which came into our lives earlier this year. This week I've had another one - "I've got an appointment at the library to take my books back." Any more?

The woman who comes into the pharmacy where I work and won't touch the door handles, asking us to open and close the door for her.

But did you wipe down all of the shopping and then wash your hands whilst singing Happy Birthday twice?

It’s a pity you can’t get into work today but we can’t pay our nurses enough to afford a nanny

Let's not have a big family bash to celebrate the amazing fact that we have been married 50 years - let's hope we can celebrate 51 years......or maybe 52! sad

I don't want to look around the shops as you have to wear a mask

moobox Sun 20-Sept-20 09:14:05

No, you can’t come into the garden. I’ll meet you in the crowded pub down the road in a few minutes.

Minerva Sun 20-Sept-20 09:13:27

I’m shielding. Would you please step back while I take the shopping from your crates.

NannanTo4 Sun 20-Sept-20 09:11:05

I’m not going to the pub

I need to ring the charity shop to see if they're accepting donations.

I’ll leave your birthday present and card on the doorstep, ring the bell, and then wave from the bottom of the drive!!

Only 3 people allowed in at a time. You will have to wait outside (in the rain)
