Who would you most liked to have seen but never did?

I've seen Joan Armadrading Nannytopsy, back in the '80s. I've also seen Pink Floyd Phloembundle, but post Roger Waters unfortunately. It was an amazing concert all the same. I'm of anyone who's seen Led Zeppelin with the late, great John Bonham. My partner teases me often ?.

My husband saw Leonard Cohen in Italy, he was brilliant.

Jimi Hendrix. I think I've seen everyone else that I wanted to see, including Kate1949 The Beatles on that tour with Roy Orbison.

I saw the Beatles twice at The Astoria, Finsbury Park and the Stones live at a Cinema in East London. The supporting act for the Stones was chuck Berry - he was amazing such a showman. Before the pandemic I booked tickets for a Dionne Warwick concert which has been postponed. I want to see Andre Rieu in concert and hope to be able to once the theatres are open again.

I would have loved to have seen Kate Bush - but never to be now. Recently saw a fantastic tribute band to her (Cloudbusting) online - so it was a lovely taste of what might have been.

Also - The Beatles! I was far too young when they were in they heyday in Liverpool but my Mum was a big fan. BTW - anyone from Liverpool - have you watched James Corden's Carpool Karaoke with Paul McCartney where they go around Paul's old home, barber shop, Penny Lane, etc. and end up at the Philharmonic pub where he gives a secret concert? If not - check out YouTube - you'll love it.

fanny, we watch the Black and White concert about once fortnight! Love it.

We saw Victoria Wood around the time she was on That's Life (??) and thought she was fabulous.

Davis Essex was absolutely gorgeous Topsy, we saw him at the DeMont!

Wish I had seen Elvis and Freddy Mercury. I did go to a Pavarotti concert which was amazing.

Working nights in the Emergency Department in 1978 when Queen were on at the Colston Hall, Bristol. Gutted to be so close ? Saw them with Paul Rodgers and Adam Lambert later. Great shows but not the same ?

dinahmo Am not a big concert-goers but I was lucky enough to see him twice, once in 1960s and once in 2000s. Wonderful both times but very different.
Leonard Cohen Live in London is a lovely album. It was recorded in 2009 I think
Theres an album released in 2009 called Cohen Live at IoW 1970, which you may have inspired me to buy if I can find a copy!

Sparklefizz Yes I think that must have been the same tour. If my memory serves me well (and I may be wrong), Roy was top of the bill at the start of the tour, but by the end of it The Beatles were moved to the top. The were top when we saw them. Poor Roy!

So true, we saw her once in the NW, drove over to Leeds then down to Ferlixstowe and the ferry home to Germany, I think we were still laughing when we got home!

Nureyev, I used to live for the London Palladium programmes where he appeared, his Corsair still gives me goosebumps.

A friend went to a party in London and Leonard Cohen was there and played for them!

Can I make you jealous now, Craftycat? I saw Tyrannosaurus Rex at a very small local venue. Marc Bolan and Mickey Finn wandered over to my friend and me at the bar and chatted to us through the interval. Bought us drinks too. They were both absolutely gorgeous.

I've been to lots of concerts but my biggest regret is not seeing Queen. I agree that Elton John is very inconsistent! I saw Victoria Wood a couple of times and I don't think I've ever laughed so much. I was really saddened by her death

I wish I had been able to visit India, explore Greece and Crete, and go on a safari in Kenya. Biggest regret is that I never saw Rudolf Nureyev dance or Pavarotti in concert. But rejoice in the memories of all that I have seen and done in a very full and interesting life.

I would have liked to have seen Joan Baez, I could really relate to her. At the time I was working in a hotel in Bellagio, Lake Como and the Hotel Proprietor wouldn't give me the time off. I would have had to take the Hydrofoil on Lake Como over to Milan.

I too would have liked to have seen Bob Marley and also Harry Belafonte.

For all the Big O fans, have you seen the black and white ball (I think it's called that).
It's Roy with a super group backing including Springsteen, Elvis Costello and kdlang.
I wasn't an Orbison fan until I saw it.

I remember going to see "That's the Way it is" at the cinema and you almost felt you were part of the audience in Las Vegas.
The usherettes were walking up and down the rows with their torches trying to stop everyone from clapping and stamping along with the music!
