anno it's a beautiful autumnal day here in Glasgow, if a tad chilly! I have had to close the blinds, the sun is so bright.
I'm out into the garden to potter, after I have hadlunch and digested wee Nikki's latest update.!

Greyduster Thu 15-Oct-20 12:51:31

Charley I would take a photo of what my kitchen looks like at the moment ?? if I thought I would get away with it!

annodomini Thu 15-Oct-20 12:40:57

Yes, Marydoll I agree. How is the weather in Glasgow? It's a lovely sunny autumnal day in 'Tier 2' Cheshire. I have been on my on-line weight management group and have been able to report another kilo gone, though I have a lot of fat to shift from round my middle.

Charleygirl5 Thu 15-Oct-20 12:35:19

Greyduster please be thankful you will get something delicious and edible at the end of it. You do not have to watch! Does he know how to clear up afterwards? If so there is a spare bedroom here if he does not mind a cat wandering in and out throughout the night.

Tara did not fancy fresh cooked chicken (Morrisons) for breakfast so I may have what is in the fridge with salad for lunch and she can return to packs of cat food which I do not fancy.

Soon passes, doesn’t it, N&G? We’ve been here nine years and it doesn’t seem like five minutes since a five year old GS was cantering about upstairs on moving in day, choosing “his” bedroom! “I think I like this one - it’s got a toilet!” “Er, nooo! That’s ours!” I will join your three year celebration N&G - I’ll even wash the mud off my trousers!
DH is making soup. He started about ten o’clock cutting up the vegetables. It took him so long I thought he was measuring each piece as he cut it. I’ve never seen anyone take “cut vegetables into even sized pieces” as literally as he does! The soup will be delicious but you could die of starvation waiting for it!
Thinking of Ann and hope she’s managing her pain and feeling better. And thinking of Soop whom I have neglected somewhat recently?.

Good morning everyone - sorry to hear about your relative Corner and your son kitty. I suspect we are going to hear much more from those having tests in the future.

I am waiting in this morning for my surgeon to call me to tell me whether I am having radiotherapy or not. As I was phoned yesterday by my oncologist and asked to come in for the radiotherapy planning it seems a bit unnecessary. I am now all ready to start for three weeks on 2nd November. My oncologist apologised for not doing it sooner but he was worried about Covid and its effect on the hospital. He feels it is much more under control there now. I have to say they are looking after me well and I have nothing but praise for the NHS.

Good to see you back Charley and Phoenix you should never have been banned.

Marydoll Thu 15-Oct-20 10:21:30

Charleygirl, no need to apologise. The world has gone mad.
Soon we will only be able to discuss the weather on GN , without worrying about sanctions.

That all sounds wonderful Purplep. Aren’t we lucky to have such lovely cuisine and as ermm...... mature ladies we are pretty darn good at cooking and baking?

Purplepixie Thu 15-Oct-20 10:17:39

Sending love and hugs to you all. I have dropped some steak and ale pie off for tea tonight with home made chips and peas. At least if we stick to thinking/typing about lovely food we are not thinking about the pesky virus. Hot cross buns with lovely lemon curd to follow. Stay safe and sane - not easy. wine flowers

Charleygirl5 Thu 15-Oct-20 10:05:32

N&G are you sure you have not got your dates muddled up? I cannot believe it is that length of time.
The sun is out here but there is a sting in the tail it is so cold.
My sincere apologies for the deletions.

NanaandGrampy Thu 15-Oct-20 09:57:43

Morning all!

Well thats a first - a deleted comment in the kitchen ?

Very unexpected.

Hope you’re feeling a little better Corner and everything is fine , you too Kitty .

It’s a bit brighter here today but boy have we had some rain .

I’m glad the photo inspired you Soop , I’m sure you could do it. And thank you for the kind comments kitcheners. I set myself a challenge in January . A 52 week photo challenge with a different theme every week. Then came lockdown so all my photos have had to be done very close to home .I’m so lucky to have so much beauty on my doorstep.

Can you believe we will have lived here 3 years next week? I shall be celebrating ?? you’re all invited!

Happy day xx

Puzzler61 Thu 15-Oct-20 09:16:36

Nobody’s concerns are considered silly here cornergran. At times most grans are beset with worries. I’m glad you feel a little better about it today. ?
G’day everyone. It’s good to see someone has kindly stoked the fire - it’s a chilly morning bbbrrrr..

tanith Thu 15-Oct-20 09:02:55

?

Greyduster Thu 15-Oct-20 08:48:51

Corner hardly surprising you were feeling unsettled with everything that’s going on around you at the moment. I hope there are some rays of sunshine, both actual and metaphorical, for you today.☀️?
Kitty the waiting must be an unwanted anxiety for you and your DS too. I wish him well.???. What times we live in at the moment.

cornergran Thu 15-Oct-20 08:29:50

Thanks everyone. Feel a bit silly this morning, this week has been so full of illness and death, last straw on top of general family issues rumbling on. Still waiting the test outcome, it seems to be one of the slow ones, the described symptoms seem cold like to me, but what do I know? I’m much less frazzled about it today. Wishing your son well kitty, always something for sure.

Have as good a day as you can everyone, TOYA.

Nannytopsy Wed 14-Oct-20 22:13:31

? for your DS too Kitty.

lemongrove Wed 14-Oct-20 21:12:56

Hope all is well Cornergran my DH had the Covid test done recently, it was negative, just a flu type virus, but he needed to know. The test is fast and easy, if not pleasant. He had the results about 36 hours later.

kittylester Wed 14-Oct-20 21:01:46

??for your relative corner. DS2 has a test booked for tomorrow. It brings it home a bit doesnt it.

? for your family Corner. DiL tested negative today, so we get the littlies for a Saturday night sleepover ?. They are coming to see the Tractor rally
( 80 - 100!) go past our house.
That could take a while!

Puzzler61 Wed 14-Oct-20 20:20:30

Is there an open wood store, car port or greenhouse that Tara could find her way into for a sneaky, dry sleep Charley ?
In your garden or a Neighbour’s?
It’s a nuisance that she is tormenting you and showing disinterest in her medicine laden supper.
Cats are tricky tikes - they can usually be guaranteed to do what you don’t want them to , not what you do.

Here’s a warm ? hug Corner .
This is the season of sniffles - common colds, please try to put the Covid test out of your mind until you know the result. It could be negative, in fact many are.
Please keep your spirits up in the meantime or you will wear yourself out ?

Corner that’s indeed a worry you could do without. I will keep everything crossed that it is a negative test and nothing more than a cold ?! Thinking of you and yours.
