cornergran big hug for you.
E,my resident DGD, works in a care home, each week that passes covid free is a bonus (((( ))))
Evening All. Please can I have a hug? After the bleak news of yesterday today brought more worries. One of our young ones has been tested for covid, rest of the family isolating. I know, I really do, it could well be a cold but I’m not sure I’ve room for any more concern. Very frustrated because I can do nothing to help.
Think I’d prefer your delivery to ours Charley. Didn’t feel sorry for our driver, lucky to escape with his life. Not Morrison’s but Sainsbury. An hour and a half late it finally got here. Apparently our fault as we hadn’t answered our door at the appointed time. Indeed we hadn’t - the driver had gone to the wrong road and reported no one home. For goodness sake, the names of the roads were in no way similar and he hadn’t phoned us as he told his supervisor he had. Call log on our phones confirms that. Last straw today.
They are truly beautiful images ng*, and soop, food for the soul.
Thanks for letting us know one more person has been released charley. Hopefully all back very soon.
Take care everyone. TOYA.
Just popped in to say hello
Naan bread ,oinion bhaji, and Mango chutney to go with the curry and rice.
N&G Our part of the world is beautiful.

Evening all, hope I find you reasonably well.
About to put a new dish (recipe wise) in the oven for supper, fingers crossed that it will be edible! (I posted the recipe on "Ask a Gran"
Wishing you all a good evening.

NanaandGrampy Your photograph is superb. It's a winner. I am inspired to paint it.
MacSporran has hogged the computer for the best part of this afternoon. He ordered light fittings that need to be returned. It seems that reordering is taxing, to put it mildly.
Anyways, I love you lot and will do my very best to be with you again tomorrow. The flu jabs have been rescheduled for late morning. Such excitement! I may need to lie down in advance.
Knowing that black pussy cat is not homeless has lifted my spirits.
Virtual hugs for all those of you who would appreciate the real thing.

I had to post as the number of posts in this lovely place had reached 666! There are enough devilish doings around without tempting fate. I'm so happy to see our jailhouse rockers back. Thinking of the two still inside the Dog House. Welcome to all newcomers. You'll love the kitchen. I've made a massive pot of chicken and rice soup and a chicken curry. I'll set it on the side.
Those are simply beautiful photos - soop and N&G. The autumn colours are quite stunning. silverlining you mustn't care if you sit on the sofa - maybe you need to sit there and sort out a plan (for tomorrow?)
. Whatever makes you happy.
Small striped person who is now taking her antibiotics went past the window like a bat out of hell earlier on. I went outside, she's sniffing around all over the place. I saw a mees hiding - not sure why she never saw it. Just as well we don't need a hunter here. Cat went indoors, mug and newspaper were brought into play and yet another mees was carried carefully from our garden and sent on its merry way. Hope they are not homing mees, this could get annoying.
Pleased to hear about the little black cat, soop. As long as someone loves it, eh? Your turn will come and the perfect little chap will arrive seeking a home, I'm sure of it. In the. meantime, MacS needs to be encouraged to turn on that 'phone.
We're all thinking of you, Ann and yes, it will get better. Meanwhile, take the pills and don't feel defeated - you have been so patient but it will probably take a while before you feel you can take life by the scruff again. Be kind to yourself, please.
So lovely to see Charley and Phoenix back. Sending good wishes to you both, although sure you're in no doubt as to the warmth and support from the regular Kitcheners and posters everywhere for you all.
Greyduster, "photo" is a dirty word here too. I sent for 60 of them to be printed and posted to me by my usual service. The order was placed on the 7th of October and still hasn't arrived. To be fair, it did say they would definitely be here by the 16th but they never ever ever take that long, they usually give you such a faraway date in case they are late in arriving, however they didn't take this long at the height of the pandemic. I have absolutely no patience, mum always says I went for a tea break when God was giving out patience, so as you can imagine this is torture. X
Hello everyone, what beautiful photos from soop and n &g. I cant understand how you get such regular beautiful sunsets soop, its rare here, south east, probably too much cloud. The autumn photo is really lovely too.
This is the second consecutive day i have sat on this sofa and done virtually nothing all day. I am ashamed and have given myself a good talking to.
Heres to lots more activity tomorrow.
Greetings to all.
NannaandGrampy that is one of the most stunning autumnal photos I have ever seen, truly gorgeous
That’s a splendidly atmospheric photo, N&G. Photo is a dirty word in this house today. I have about two and a half thousand of them that have downloaded onto my laptop, but whereas on the iPad they are very well organised, on the laptop they are a ragbag of images in no particular order at at the moment, so I am going to be busy trying to make some sense of it all - when I make sense of Windows that is! It’s enough to turn your hair grey! Oh! Hang on! It’s already grey!!?♀️ I need a lie down! I’m beginning to be sorry I gave my knitting needles away!
Soop a beautiful sunset indeed. I'm glad the wee cat isn't in need. It's obviously got many people wrapped around its paws. I'm having a quiet day. I've made a chicken curry that I should have made yesterday and simmering the carcass for stock. Have a good day all
Welcome Oldwoman70 there is plenty of room. We always say, the more, the merrier. Sit yourself down and indulge in the calorie free cake. To be honest, I would sooner share the real thing. I blame Brexit and Trump etc.
Welcome to dear Phoenix, there is enough cake and puds for us all. Shall we indulge? Yay! Why not.
Galen As per...what Gary wants, Gary gets.
Update on the pussy cat. MacSporran hadn't received my message because he hadn't switched his 'phone on.
This morning, the lady who first saw the cat in the florists went back into town with her husband. They hoped to find wee pus and take him back to live with them. Turns out that the little cat does have a home, over the hairdressing salon, quite close to the florist. The pussy likes to wander the streets during the day and calls into a number of premises where he/she is petted and made a fuss of. So, no cat needing protection after all. I am very relieved. All is well. That's what counts.
ann my hip was 3yrs old yesterday , my lot send me a “happy hip “ message , but I remember it without the reminder .
It does get better , I was not fit either , in fact I could hardly get around the house and went up the stairs on my hands and knees , I still use a walking stick when out , and a walker for long stretches ....... but oh , the relief from pain !
I’m 82 and can’t imagine what I’d be like without the new hip
Ps
I couldn’t take any pain meds except paracetamol !
Do the excercises they make all the difference
ann, I was only 64 when I had my hip replaced but it really took it out of me and I found I had to rest a lot and and just let life go by me. Hope you will soon be feeling more like your cheerful self. xx
Is there room for a little one? (well not so little). I promise to be quiet and respectful (and not eat too much cake).
Good morning all.
Just want to say I am with you in spirit but may not post much.
I am feeling very sorry for myself and should have realised that 4 years after my knee and not being at all fit going into it I shouldn’t have expected too much.
It will be better, it will be better, if I say it enough I shall believe it.
Take care folks.
Welcome back from you undeserved exile Charley and Phoenix - good to see you.
Lucky Gary, Galen. I'm disappointed about the chocolate cake. Maybe next time? I'm still trying to work out what I can and cannot do on tier two. I don't think it makes much difference, as it's much the same as our earlier period of isolation. Perhaps I could just go to sleep and wake up when there's a vaccine! Or I could make more masks...
