Greetings Jolly Kitchen Types !
I have come indoors to escape the noise of a very charming, very competent Spanish electrician whose vocal instructions to my DH above the noise of a masonry drill is more than flesh and blood etc., etc, Weather is a sunny and blue 25 degrees, but fortunately many days are the same, so mustn’t be churlish about being indoors for a while
Important things first: hope everyone is clinging on to all their malfunctioning body parts, through Physio, scans, tests, X rays, exercise, pain and worry. Corner you sound as if you might be the NHS guinea pig of the day, today. Take care afterwards.
The desperately longed-for relief is almost here, Ann. Whatever the anxiety, you must be so thrilled to think that finally you will walk and function normally again - ultimately pain-free. Wishing you a very speedy and uncomplicated recovery. Keep those spirits up, meanwhile.
Lovely to read such a positive message from dear Panache; and Izabella it surely must be time for a nap, one day soon?
I shall say nothing about The Three Amigos, except I know what you said and it simply wasn’t enough, but maybe no point in being exiled forever when nobody ‘gets it’. We all hope that you are not in solitary and look forward to the bounce-back effect of your early return.

Very sorry to hear of yet another lovely villager’s demise, soop. So sad.
I’m glad that Mees have been mentioned because I had a brief conversation with the prettiest little chap who was actually playing in my courtyard yesterday. Clearly a very young Mees - one with chocolate button eyes and field mouse-type round face and whiskers. We found a big china mug and he allowed my DH to put him in it. I held a folded newspaper over the top and walked him up the lane into the vineyard. Now, I discussed a route, set his little satnav to Scotland/Kintyre and it’s always possible that he was there in a trice. If so, there might be all sorts of bother with papers and import duty etc., Sorry, I should have thought. Maybe go easy on the peanut butter enticements until you hear him speak. Any trace of an accent and you’ll need to send out for supplies of Camembert and grapes tout de suite and let him quarantine in great comfort behind your sofa for at least two weeks.??? Sorry if all that extra catering interrupts the Tennis.
Loved the other Mees stories, especially the one about the banquet spread around the tent and Mees-munching JimJams.
Everyone please stay safe and well. Wishing you the best evening and a peaceful night with no nightmares or bad stuff to wake you.
Hugs from French France
