MawB2 sending you a (((hug))) I haven’t experienced what you have, I have miscarried and that was heartbreaking. To hold a much wanted and loved baby and then to lose them must be unbearable ?
May I share my feelings with you on a bittersweet day?
I will always remember going into into Queen Mary’s, Roehampton to have our first baby. We were thrilled at the arrival of our little boy 47 years ago today but devastated when he was diagnosed with congenital heart problems and died a little over 3 weeks later.
I treasure the happy memories of the early days despite our grief, and it brought home to me the fragility of the miracle of life.
If life had been otherwise we probably would not have had our three lovely daughters, their wonderful husbands and five amazing grandchildren I would lie down in front of a bus for.
However today I will shed a tear not just for Paw and me, but for all parents who went home without a baby, or whose hopes and expectations have been dashed, I will allow myself to reminisce but most of all be grateful for how life has turned out. Sadly, of course, I now shed those tears alone
No. Definitely not unreasonable. When our bathroom renovation ran over by three days I was ready to murder. Contented myself with telling the installer I was going to deduct rent from the charges as he had obviously moved in. No matter how pleasant the people are it’s an invasion. Maybe stop baking?
. Hope it’s over soon.
I’m getting very fed up.
The wet room was supposed to take under three weeks!
It’s now going into its fourth week!
I’m hoping it will be finished by Thursday.
They’re lovely people and seem to appreciate my baking, but-!
I’m used to being on my own and not being invaded by men 08.30 am!
AIBU?
What little sweethearts those boys are. Teddy looks so much like you, soop - there is so much of your features in your family faces, it's amazing. As for LittleBoyBatty - he looks a rascal even though he's trying to look angelic in those jammies!
A week of great excitement and, hopefully, HipHipHooray for Ann. The very best of luck to you. Your turn soon, soop - you must get a date any time now. Hang on in there, you're going to feel normal again.
Starting your days at stupid o'clock can't be too enticing, Susan and Nannytopsy. Lovely to look after the children, such a pleasure, but I'm not sure I could do that travelling Susan - no wonder you need to work out a system so that you don't miss out on a well-earned break each !!. Bet little Henry is full of mischief now.
We've had a gloriously sunny day and this morning I was up a ladder cutting back some shrubs, lunchtime I was ironing, this afternoon, we went to buy some shelving which then needed to be installed, but tomorrow the Electrician can't come and do the work arranged, because he has a family funeral. Nice man and he sounded very sad. I think we're primed to hear bad news at almost any time these days, so it's vital that we really enjoy all the other moments and savour them. We just need to stay well and vow to come out the other side upright and in one piece. That should be enough, I think.
Wishing you all a good night and plenty of healing sleep. Tomorrow's another day, we need to be bright eyed and bushy tailed to face what it brings.
Hope you're well Doodle and Cherry. Looking forward to hearing about trips in the new car.
Hugs and nighty night from French France
soop that may well be a message telling you to rest more! I do hope a date is around the corner.
I love the photos of the boys and I especially love the "big boy" pyjamas.
A quick shower and I will be joining Tara.
My last post disappeared.
I just wanted to send love to soop who looks after the rest of us so well. Wishes we could help you.
Grandmabatty Jump in puddle on my behalf.
Nannytopsy Aww! I well remember building a fire station with Lego. Wee Torben sat crossed legs on the carpet and watched us from start to finish. It was a mammoth task. Throughout, his face recorded every emotion from impatience to sheer joy.
I too hope to goodness that I may soon get some idea of the date when the back-end surgery will take place. I feel awfully wearied by the ongoingness of it all. A date would lift my spirits. Sometime soon would be ideal.
My best wishes to you all. Until we meet again in the kitchen tomorrow, take the best possible care of yourselves.

I do so hope you can get your prolapse sorted once and for all soop. It would make 2020 worth it!
I’m waiting for the step- DGC to come out of school while DH plays Lego with the littlies. An early night tonight I think - I shall be asleep if these two don’t arrive soon!
TOYA X
You take care Soop. Have a restful afternoon. We've been out jumping in puddles.
anno
Grandmabatty Your photograph has made me grin from ear to ear. What a delightful wee laddie wearing his grown-up jammies and a very mischievous smile.
Tum feels less troubled today. The prolapse bled on and off during yesterday. Talk about buggerations...this one is a brute.
About to put my feet up and watch the experts chase around after a ball on the tennis court. Yesterday's match in which Gaston lost by a whisker, was the best of the tournament.
Hope you feel better soop.
Lovely pictures Grandmabatty.
Lovely your DD could visit you kitty mine are 4 hours away but we have lots of FT.
Adding my wishes for a speedy return to feeling well after yesterday soop ?
I hope your innards feel better today, soop. Take care of yourself and keep and eye on the tennis. I've just wasted (?) a half hour watching the end of a Kvitova match. She's my favourite female player - so courageous to make a comeback after that dreadful knife attack and she doesn't shriek!
Hope you are feeling better today soop???
Beautiful photos Grandmabatty and soop??
I feel your pain Nannytopsy. We have to get up at 5.15 tomorrow as a two hour drive to DD’s to look after little B.The first week we took it in turns to look after him while the other napped but have now got into a routine of a relaxing/lazy Monday which has meant we enjoy our Tuesday with B so much more.
We phoned the boiler engineer this morning and he is fully booked until the end of next week?Luckily we have an electric shower and a gas fire so could be worse.
TOYA and especially Ann with her operation this week?
Ah, lovely photos! Where did the time go indeed? Make the most of these littlies while you can. One minute you’re holding them up in the air, making them laugh; the next they are standing behind you resting their chins on top of your head!!
What lovely little chaps! Our DGS is now 7, with missing front teeth - where did that time go?? We are on the school run tomorrow, so leave here at 6.50am. I am not good first thing these days ?.
It hasn’t stopped raining all day. Please let it be better tomorrow!
TOYA.
He IS cute Grandmabatty, and Teddy too soop.
They must make your hearts swell with pride.
The joy of visits with these cheeky chaps must far outweigh the weariness you feel afterwards.
Hope your tum settles soon soop. Look after yourself. Love the photo, there is mischief in that look I think.
We were lucky too kitty, one of ours and two granddaughters made it for a meal, we were unsure as one had felt poorly on Friday, it seems simply over tired rather than unwell. A short visit but very much appreciated.
Looking forward to seeing your new bathroom galen, you must be getting impatient for it to be finished.
Suspect an early night is on the cards. We’re both weary. Hope everyone has stayed dry in the deluge today, TOYA.
Galen That's what I call a posh wet room etc. Take care of those two dear men. They are obviously doing a very good job. Well worth all that baking.
kitty to drive so far for lunch with you was a wonderful gesture. I love the names Ellie and Lottie.
dragonfly We've only ever met two of our great grandchildren once in the flesh. We have yet to meet Toby. I'm guessing it will be some months before the families next gather together. As you say, it is what it is. We all need to play our part.
I am logging off until tomorrow. I've a grumbly tum. Have felt a trifle off-colour all day through.
Enjoy a peaceful evening and I hope to be with you all again very soon.

What a lovely boy soop.
We had Ellie, Lottie and their mum here for lunch. She is a star to drive nearly 2 hours just for lunch. The girls were lovely too.
He is beautiful soop - I so miss seeing mine in the flesh but it is what it is!
Soop yes, they’re still hanging around scoffing all my cake!
They hope to finish on Wednesday. I’ll then have a wet room with sit down shower, proper lift down handle for the toilet etc. I’ll be able to have the most comfortable shower I’ve had since I had a disabled equipped suite on QE. I’ll photo when finished. The present photo was on the QE
