Just dawned on me how thoughtless that was. Sorry, didn’t mean to unsettle anyone ?
My own mum, SW London, always books at supermarkets because she doesn’t like going to the surgery and they have no supply issues at all there. Think we were just unlucky.

We went for ours yesterday, drive in, stop, confirmed details and done, we wore masks & suitable easy clothing. Did not have to get out of the car, the nurse just did OH arm, walked round and did mine. It was quicker than the normal, sit down and wait queue at the surgery. I was very impressed with how efficient and easy it was.

I went for mine at 10 o’clock today and the temp. was just 10 degrees.
Wore a long sleeved chenille baggy jumper, a gilet, and a circular scarf.
Easily got my arm out of the sleeve for the jab ......

We booked Boots before we received our appointments with the GP. Called Monday to cancel to be told they’d been trying to contact us, they were having to cancel all appointments because they’ve received no vaccine allocation (we’re in the North West).

Glad I m going to Boots no queue just sit in their little booth at the appropriate time whilst out shopping

What a strange idea.

Ours are indoors as usual. 1 minute appointments, in and out, staff in full PPE (Suits etc) and patients in masks.

Hope it isn’t raining for yours.

I was a bit taken aback at the idea but it does make sense. Just make sure you have a large enough umbrella to cover yourself and the syringe!

M&S were selling a sleeveless trench coat last year - they must have had a crystal ball.

I had mine today but thankfully indoors. T shirt, long-sleeved warm cardigan and a jacket.

I’m having mine Saturday.

I suggest a sleeveless top and fleece or coat, easy to slip off one shoulder. We are going to have our flue jabs on Saturday morning, arranged by our doctors surgery to be held in the car park of the community hall, drive in style. When OH first read the instructions he said " are they going to blowdart us from the other side of the carpark"

Short sleeved top under thick cardi, just slip arm out of cardi.

Big coat, hat, scarf, gloves, with a short sleeved top under it, sleevless top under that if it's cold, and warm trousers. Just slip arm out of coat before you step up. If you need to take a bag take a rucksack . Mind it could be roasting hot and sunny that day who knows? You might need a brolly and wellies!. Though how the staff will cope I don't know. We've had hailstones today!
