Maybe those aliens from Area 51 hold the key to DT

Starblaze - the truth is, both you and I believed it was “real” because it seems so like the sort of stuff he’d push!
Had it been, say, Obama or Reagan, Merkle or May, it would have immediately seemed suspect.

Definitely!

We still have time though, maybe he will put it on a hat!

Bit of useless information.

Trump is the first president in over a century to not have a dog as a pet.

Calendargirl Wed 07-Oct-20 12:17:27

I’m sure he has had, and still has, Covid. He was definitely breathless when he finished his pep talk on the balcony.

Illness is looked on as a sign of weakness in the POTUS.

Surprising that with the USA’s obsession with youth, the two candidates are in their 70’s.

WW2, the information that Trump is the first president in over a century not to have a pet dog is far from 'useless'.
It says it all. Any doubts I had are now swept away. Mind you, most dogs are good judges of character.....

Update on Trump

He is apparently backtracking on the stimulus talks after the stock exchange took an almighty tumble when it heard of his withdrawal from the talks.

He is feeling sorry for himself largely because imo he doesn’t have any attention, and is insisting on leaving the East Wing and go into the West Wing and the Oval Office along with his bugs to begin to infect yet more poor souls who are unfortunate enough to have to work there like the butlers, cleaners, chefs, etc etc.

His calls to the big pharma CEO’s fell on deaf ears along with the FDA telling him to sod off ( those were my words?) . I spoke to DD who works for Glaxo, and she said there is no way that the company would trash its reputation just to get Trump into the WH.

I agree with lemongrove, I’m sure he’s had it, but we have to remember that some people, in fact the vast majority, get Coronavirus quite mildly. If this is the case with Trump, it’s not surprising that he’s recovering quickly. Plus remember that he’s been pumped full of a cocktail of drugs normally used in the most serious cases.
I think the medics have more integrity than to claim he’s had the virus when he actually hasn’t had it.
He’s just been lucky, but not able to recognise that at his age, he’s actually been very lucky.
A number of well known people have had the virus and not had it too seriously. Prince Charles comes to mind, Barnier, and a few members of our Parliament.

.

GagaJo Wed 07-Oct-20 17:21:38

I don't know. My daughter had what we think was a mild case and she felt REALLY sh**y for 2 days.

True about Charles maddyone.

Georgesgran Wed 07-Oct-20 17:35:12

I’m sorry to say lemongrove and maddyone but I think Trump will romp home, judging by the reactions of his supporters. God help the USA and the rest of us with that madman in charge.

BlueBelle Wed 07-Oct-20 17:46:59

I m not at all sure he did have it,breathless or not It’s the timing that really pushes me to being unsure it was such fantastic timing could nature really be that kind and double kind that a man of our age and an overweight one too should get off so scottfree however IF he did have it he has unmercifully infected all around him so he’s a thoughtless idiot which ever way it is
Yes I think he ll get in because I think he got in completely unfairly and unlawfully last time and I think he ll manage the same games again

The world is a very unsafe place because of him and his entourage

annodomini Wed 07-Oct-20 18:02:09

He certainly has sycopants who toady to him even when it's obvious that he is mentally and probably physically unstable. However, most of his inner circle in the White House have also caught the virus and surely they can't all by lying hmm. He hasn't recovered. He is still, if the dates are correct, carrying a virus load and presumably not keeping it to himself. If the virus works the way it mostly has, it will get a further hold next week. Wouldn't that be interesting.

annodomini Wed 07-Oct-20 18:03:02

sycopants grin sycophants

MissAdventure Wed 07-Oct-20 18:09:51

I think pants is the best name for people who stick by an arse.

BlueBelle Wed 07-Oct-20 18:13:24

Ohhh very clever missA ???

MissAdventure Wed 07-Oct-20 18:20:14

What I was meaning to say is that he is apparently on steroids.
Wonder what will happen when they're stopped?

maddyone Wed 07-Oct-20 18:25:48

Oh georgesgran, I do hope you’re wrong. I really hope he doesn’t romp home, or even crawl home.

I hope your daughter’s feeling much better now gaga.

BlueBelle Wed 07-Oct-20 18:51:01

According to the news he now has antibodies to CV

Iam64 Wed 07-Oct-20 19:02:01

WOT - BlueBelle, really?! I shall switch the news on now.
How can he have antibodies, he is surely still infecting people

MissAdventure Wed 07-Oct-20 19:05:28

Surely this is all too fast!?
What about his wife? Is she all done and dusted, too?

Iam64 Wed 07-Oct-20 19:45:35

Ok BlueBelle I've watched the Ch4 update on Mr T. They certainly aren't suggesting he's clear of virus and has antibodies.
Mind you, our own government won't appear on Ch4 because its seen as 'too lefty. That will no doubt be why its my go to news channel

Framilode Wed 07-Oct-20 20:00:31

I think he has had it but started with it quite a bit earlier than has been disclosed. If you remember in the debate he was sweating very heavily and looked as if he might have a fever. He also arrived too late to have a test and was put on his honour to say he was negative.
I think he already had it at this stage.

MamaCaz Wed 07-Oct-20 20:10:56

Further to what Bluebell said, this is in a BBC report:

The report from Dr Conley said: "His physical exam and vital signs, including oxygen saturation and respiratory rate, all remain stable and in normal range."
[ ]
It added: "The president's labs demonstrated detectable levels of SARS-CoV-2-IgG antibodies on Monday October 5th."

It has been one of my thoughts too, either that or he was very lucky unlike Boris Johnson. It's a shame as his followers will drink up all his silly spouting on about embracing it blah blah blah. No word of wife so I suspect it was mild or that she is the one suffering again. Nice how he gets full on treatment if it was/is a mild case. Plus of course he had to get top notch new treatment not ordinary tried and tested treatment. So, if his followers catch it will they be able to benefit from the same medical treatment too hmm
