doodle Gary didn’t get to see it. I’ll do Wedgies boiled Xmas cake for him later this week.

Puzzler61 Sat 21-Nov-20 21:45:21

I saw your post but I don’t know, sorry, lemongrove.

lemongrove Sat 21-Nov-20 21:40:50

lemongrove

Just popped in to check something out .....that merlot is now merlotgran, or two different posters? Whilst here I notice MayBe ( when did that happen?)?
GrannyGravy.....I want a cat too, but Lord Lemongrove is proving obstinate.?

Am bumping my post as nobody has answered my query...
I wanted to contact merlot but need to know if she is indeed now merlotgran.
Any answers?

Nannytopsy Sat 21-Nov-20 21:29:30

Thank you Galen, that’s just what I need ?. This afternoon I had a need for a large piece of home made carrot cake but not allowed on a low carb diet. ?
We watched England play well this afternoon and now we are catching up with a very much improved Leicester Tigers - ‘our’ boys!
Hugs for Kitty & BladeAnnie - so desperately sad for both of you. It reminds us to live for every day.
Family quiz tonight with one round set by 7 year old DGS. School topic is transport and favourite subject is dinosaurs - you can imagine!

That doesn’t sound good soop, hope you have a comfortable night and are more settled tomorrow.

Understand your worry synonymous. Google sometimes misleads us. How are things now? If you’re still worried do seek advice.

Quiet day here. Slow start, wrapped some Christmas gifts, spoke to a superbly helpful customer services person who sorted a muddled delivery. All very relaxed so can anyone tell me why I made a total hash of an email I was in the midst of writing when a friend phoned? Got in a right muddle. Oh well, some of Galen’s Italian Swiss roll will restore equanimity.

Take care everyone. TOYA.

Doodle Sat 21-Nov-20 20:06:59

Hmmm I’m not sure Galen. It looks lovely but why didn’t Gary eat it? ?

Galen Sat 21-Nov-20 20:01:36

?

soop Sat 21-Nov-20 17:34:43

That should have been Thiem. blush

Thank you, Galen I shall save my portion until later. You are a kind lady. smile

Galen Sat 21-Nov-20 17:32:08

Just popping in to deliver an Italian version of a Swiss roll. It’s a very light sponge mixture rolled round a slightly sweetened. Ricotta.
Hope you like it.

I have enjoyed reading your posts and looking at some really lovely photos.

I was looking forward to watching the tennis and did so, up to a point. Suddenly, mid afternoon, my stomach started to play silly b's and I've been visiting the bathroom on and off without too long spent in my umpire's chair. It may be a bug. A lady in the village has been housebound with something similar.

Theim won the match. I'm well pleased. Now awaiting a visit from Madam. Dish ready. Food selected. She, like all felines, has her own agenda. I shall wait for the outside light to signal her arrival. wink

I trust that you will enjoy your Saturday evening and I hope to be with you again tomorrow. smile moon

Ha ha there is a radiator in that room *Charleygirl” and I turn it on before sewing in there most afternoons. She waits for me as she likes to “help” with crafts especially if they have wool or threads involved.

Charleygirl5 Sat 21-Nov-20 16:00:03

Puzzler I noticed Ruby was lying on a hard floor unless I am very mistaken. Surely that cannot be right for such a beautiful girl?

I agree, I would have to cover that chair well because of Tara's claws.

Puzzler61 Sat 21-Nov-20 15:50:24

They share such similar genes kitty! Both girls too.
When we got her from Cat’s Protection she had been noted as Rory, a boy cat, by a previous owner.
She most definitely isn’t and so we changed all her records “Ruby”.
Minnie is a beauty and has a mighty fine chair - no blanket to protect it. She must be better behaved than Ruby, who would scratch the lovely leather.

annsixty Sat 21-Nov-20 15:27:37

anno posted that she was spending some time with her family in the south.
I hope she is enjoying her GC and S’s of course.

kittylester Sat 21-Nov-20 15:14:22

Er, please can we have Minnie back, Puzzler?

Any one seen anno?

Charleygirl5 Sat 21-Nov-20 14:58:38

soop I think Fern now knows that lovely bed is hers and a personal servant supplies food at regular intervals and she no longer has to supply her own hot meals.

When Tara hunted the minx used to bring home a mouse and sit on the floor beside my chair enjoying her supper. I was not impressed because I had to clear up afterwards, not quite what I like after having my own supper.

A pity the weather is not warmer and you could leave a door open with a plate of food to see if she would be so bold.
TOYA

Increasingly often I think there are no little grey cells left! Am envious of all the cat pictures but feel we daren’t have something/someone else for DH to trip over. If we were to be adopted, that would be a different matter entirely, of course.

Grandmabatty Sat 21-Nov-20 14:54:03

A quick wheech into the kitchen. I have been engaged in housework this morning and a spot of ironing. I'm off to wrestle with the clean fitted sheet and my mattress. MawBe I see your leetle grey cells were working, hien? I think some days mine have retired! Have a good afternoon all.

soop Sat 21-Nov-20 13:22:14

Enters kitchen and is bowled over by all the activity and loveliness of you lot. It will take time to catch up. I shall read through every post during the afternoon. In the meantime, I've to empty the washing machine and clear a pile of ironing. Also, semi-final tennis at 2 o'clock.
Fern outside in her den. She's had breakfast and lunch. Now fast asleep. We continue to ask villagers if they know of her. No one knows nuffink.wink

Puzzler61 Sat 21-Nov-20 10:39:59

Grandmafrench hold onto your sunshine, it will keep your soul singing ☺️
Lemongrove a cuddle from a cat a day, keeps the doctor away (no, I made that up). They are special companions but need lots of tending ?
Charleygirl be sure to keep that cupboard full of Tara’s favourite foods (and she’d love Waitrose chicken ......... ?)
soop I agree, Fern and you need each other. See if she will allow you close enough to hear that wonderful purring. It’s a soothing sound ?

Puzzler61 Sat 21-Nov-20 10:33:37

Good morning all. I’m popping flowers on the side to cheer all who are going through sad and poorly times. Also it’s the weekend (though all days seem the same at the moment!)
In our house it prompts an “All Day Breakfast”, I’d better get cracking!

Sounds like you've been having fun, Mawbe, so I shan't be the one to spoil it. When I saw the post I was afraid that you were unhappy about something and unable to sleep. What you have done instead is stir up your imagination, rise to the challenge of competition and now, of course, you're "over-excited" as my old Mum used to say. But well done you for beating them to the Witchfinder General reference! Your grey cells are clearly in very good condition!

I'll bet young Hattie retired with a deep sigh and an eye roll some hours ago. There's a dog who knows about beauty sleep! I need to catch up on a ton of mine, so I'll say night night, happy dreams, sleep well. ??

MawBe Fri 20-Nov-20 23:41:53

It’s 11.30 and I am wide awake.
I’ve been reading all your news and oh my goodness what an amazing bunch of ladies you all are - everyone coping with something and nobody complaining.
I think I had almost forgotten those dark days when Paw was perhaps at his poorliest - I know they say that thing about “when the going gets tough, the tough get going “ and you girls certainly do.
I have been doing an online immersive “mystery “with the DDs and SILs a bit like a murder mystery but doing our sleuthing on the Internet, Facebook, Wikipedia, Google, cracking passwords and hacking into emails etc
One SIL is in fact a forensic accountant , investigating fraud and dodgy dealing, so he should have been in his element, but I was the person who got the reference to Matthew Hopkins who was the 17 th century Witchfinder General.
It all got the grey cells going -hence being wide awake, and good fun.
Wishing you all a peaceful night TOYA xx

Sorry you have had a fright, Syn. Maybe make your H a priority but definitely not the star of anything written by Professor Google! Just work out with him exactly what and how he feels, how long he has been feeling like that and then let a GP know what's happening. It could be a million things....don't torment yourself before you speak to someone qualified to help, you've had enough to go through.

Sounds like the car parkers in your road are like car parkers everywhere : not giving a thought to access or space for others. Never mind, your DD will soon be in, settled and comfortable - even if she is bringing a whirlwind of "stuff" with her.

If you can find 4 holes to put the cherries in, somewhere sheltered for now, and water them in, you can forget about them for a while. One step forward, two steps back, eh? Stay safe and take care of yourself. Nighty night.
