Just work out with him exactly what and how he feels, how long he has been feeling like that and then let a GP know what's happening. It could be a million things....don't torment yourself before you speak to someone qualified to help, you've had enough to go through.
Sounds like the car parkers in your road are like car parkers everywhere : not giving a thought to access or space for others. Never mind, your DD will soon be in, settled and comfortable - even if she is bringing a whirlwind of "stuff" with her.
