I don’t know what to say. What a shocking disappointment for Soop and for MacS. I hope there’s at least some relief from what has been carried out. Brave lady, you don’t deserve this.

Nannytopsy Fri 27-Nov-20 20:52:22

annodomini Fri 27-Nov-20 23:27:46

Oh, soop, you must feel so let down as well as exhausted. Now, get a good rest and let MacS pamper you. flowers

Just had a wee phone chat with soop. She sounded a lot better than I expected and feels a lot better after a good night's sleep. She's under orders from MacSporran to do nothing but rest this weekend. It's a hard order to enforce because soop has an over-developed work ethic that tells her she should be doing something useful all the time. I hope MacS points out that resting after the bodily turmoil of the last couple of days is very useful!

soop feels the surgeon has done her best but isn't inclined to put her body through such turbulence again. Bouncing back gets harder as we age.

She'll get back to The Kitchen in due course and is missing you all already.

Thanks Baggs. It’s cheering to hear that soop is feeling a little better. Quite right she needs her rest.
We miss you soop but take it easy and behave. flowers and hugs ?

GrannyGravy13 Sat 28-Nov-20 12:35:35

Thank you for the update Baggs

Greyduster Sat 28-Nov-20 12:37:26

She will be under orders to rein in her activities for a lot longer than that. It will probably be some weeks before she is allowed to do very much at all except move about, and she absolutely must - and I’m sure, will - be sensible. All too easy to undo the good work. Take it easy, Soop!

Greyduster Sat 28-Nov-20 12:38:19

And thankyou, Baggs.

annsixty Sat 28-Nov-20 12:40:33

Thank you also from me Baggs.
I was having a difficult off day yesterday and feeling sorry for myself but then came the news about soop and I felt foolish and cross with myself.
She may come to reconsider further surgery in time but she may accept the status quo which we can hope is better than before.

I have made a good recovery but having to accept I may always have to use my elbow crutch or a stick.
How difficult is that I ask myself, I am so lucky to be pain free and able to get about well.
I have given myself a good talking to.

My S will get our decs down tomorrow to go up next weekend.
Even that is early for me but we all need some festive lights and cheer in our lives.

Have the best day you can everyone, stay safe.

Grandmabatty Sat 28-Nov-20 12:40:59

Thank you Baggs for keeping 'us lot' informed. Soop ? and lots of rest for you. Thinking of you x

Puzzler61 Sat 28-Nov-20 12:44:42

Thank you Baggs. I’m sure you will kindly send soop all our love when you next speak to her.
If she can rest now her strength will return, and we’re all rooting for her!
Fond wishes to MacS too who will be doing a sterling job looking after his dear lady. XX
