I couldn’t stay in bed this morning for love nor money! Wide awake up at 5.35am, Thing is although was an early riser, what did I do ? Next to nothing! Fed my pets had breakfast, had shower, then sat down to read gransnet forums, the joys of gransnet ?
No ever bothers me I just change it at night when I go to bed and forget about it my body adjusts without ever knowing anything about it funnily I never get jet lag when I travel whether east or west so obviously not sentive enough ?
I just fail to understand why we are still subjected to this torture twice a year... however, I prefer the BST... but then, one would get used to it, especially as I am retired.. it is JUST a time on a clock ,,, innit?
well bladder wakes me mostly every couple of hours,, but I think I had slightly adjusted already... I wait for daylight as my cat is in all night, and would like to pop out during the day....
Had to take one of my dogs to the Vet to have a suspect lump removed from her shoulder. As she is nearly 11 I am nervous about the operation and anaesthetic. Up early so she could have a run first - and forget she couldn't have her breakfast! Now a nail biting day until she comes home.
I am currently quarantining after returning from France last week - got up early so I could walk round and round the garden without anyone being able to see me (it does look daft) as I normally walk three to four miles every morning and will go mad if I don't exercise.
That’s my timings too Calendargirl although rather than get up straight away I look at my iPad for a while. It will take a while for the dog to adjust to the change
I was awake as the sun came up not sure what time it was trotted to the bathroom and went back to bed till 6:30 got a cuppa and watched the news till jumping in the shower. No different really as my clock seems to work to daylight coming no matter what the clock says.
I thought i was getting up at 6am as hubby said he'd changed ALL the clocks. Came down to find it was 5am grrrr. Sat and watched boring TV then went back to bed.
I thought that, like me, everyone would dread and dislike the autumn clock change but found, after reading a Mumsnet thread, that most people welcome it. Well, that's me told.
Then I remembered that I am retired and I can get up and go to bed when I like so it will make no difference to me at all really. Doh! As Homer Simpson says.
Good morning everyone from a beautiful sunny day here on the east coast of Fife. It feels so cold though must keep nice andcosy today. My DH insists because the temp is reading a certain number the house must be at that warmth and it’s switched itself off now. I say get it switched UP further never mind it’s reached a certain point. I’m not having a shower unless the bathroom warms up a little . Does anyone else have this mindset my DH is off playing golf today we’re both staying clear of the local outbreak. It’s such a shame for those who rely on this wee shoppy. hope everyone gets well soon. Have a lovely day everyone look after yourselves and others less fortunate r keep safeDAE AS YER TELT me I can sleep well on that hr we lost didn’t make a difference to me just got up for the call of nature then back to sleep.
