Hi all,
It was my birthday today and I got the Ariana Grande Thank U Next perfume as my cousins had it, and it's absolutely divine. It's my new favourite.
I also love Gucci Bloom, Alien and Black Opium although I've never had them.
What about you? X

Angel is made of chocolate and vanilla - quite different from Alien.

dragonfly46, sorry my mistake, I didn't realise you said Angel, I thought you said Alien. Sorry. X

Vera Wang Rock Princess is my favourite and I love the black heart shaped bottle it comes in.

FlyingHxndbag Sun 01-Nov-20 16:32:17

I haven't smelt Rock Princess May7, but I've smelt the original Princess and I love it. I must try to smell Rock Princess, I'll be in Superdrug tomorrow actually, so I wonder if it'll be in there. X

I currently have a bottle of Victorias Secret - Secret Escape, body mist. Very inexpensive, (less than a tenner for a big bottle) and a very light fresh fragrance. I couldn't pay some of the prices mentioned on here! Obviously, I have no standards. grin grin

FlyingHxndbag Sun 01-Nov-20 17:07:26

LadyStardust, I like the Victoria's Secrets body mists, however if I'm buying body mists, it's usually So...? although I don't limit myself to So...? if I like the smell. X

I think Superdrug only have Vera Wang Princess FH Ive never been able to find it in the stores.
I usually buy mine online

FlyingHxndbag Sun 01-Nov-20 18:05:49

Oh right, May7, I didn't know that. I haven't been in Superdrug for quite a while, so I'm looking forward to having a sniff of all the perfumes. X

Hetty58 Sun 01-Nov-20 18:26:48

FH, I wouldn't do that if I were you (I suspect it rots your brain cells into pink, fluffy mush)!

cornishpatsy Sun 01-Nov-20 18:43:42

Elizabet Arden Red Door, love the smell and the bottle.

In the 70s my favourite was Tweed and before that Aqua Manda.

Chanel No 5
I’ve used it for almost forty years and just never found anything to compare.

Copper3 Sun 01-Nov-20 19:49:31

Coco Mademoiselle ..Chanel.... and Roses by Paul Smith, but imo Chanel everytime!

nadateturbei Sun 01-Nov-20 20:54:42

Still Amarige

MissAdventure Sun 01-Nov-20 20:59:01

I'm not sure I have a favourite.
My daughter always bought me Alien, and my grandsons buy it for me now, but I'm a bit bored with it.
I really like Jean Paul Gaultier (even if I can't spell it!)

Mwdebbie Sun 01-Nov-20 20:59:46

Angela Flanders’ ‘Kashmir Noir’. A gift from my son a few years ago and I’ve worn it ever since. Available from the AF shops in east London

MissAdventure Sun 01-Nov-20 21:03:21

That sounds exotic. smile

sparklingsilver28 Sun 01-Nov-20 21:25:41

For Spring: Patou "Joy", Summer: Hermes "24 Faubourg", Winter: Chanel "Coco". All classic French and still as beautiful and chic as ever.

COTY L’AIMANT
Little black bottle with pink dipstick anyone?

That brings back wonderful memories. The first perfume as a twenty year old in 1958.

Grannynannywanny Sun 01-Nov-20 21:43:31

sparklingsilver28 it was my Mum’s favourite in the 60s. I remember she used to get frustrated that the little dipstick didn’t fully empty the bottle near the end. So to be sure she’d had the full benefit of it she’d use the empty bottle with the lid off it as a drawer freshener

my favourite perfumes have always been panache and coty l'aimant, i am 58 and have been wearing these since i was 18, panache is sometimes hard to get, i get loads of perfume samples from freebie websites, i bag them up and hand into the foodbank with other toiletries.
