Well, fellow Argy Bargers, after some hard bargaining with
Moneybags Mike our landlord, I have managed to secure another short term lease. The scoundrel wanted ten pounds a month, but I showed him my maroon bloomers and he reduced it to seven pounds.Result!?

I see the Admiral is legless again ( although he only has the one, anyway) he’s staggering around welded to AGA ...I think she may end up in his hammock later.
Where’s Ixion ? She will be furious to see what’s going on here.
Doodle is up for karaoke next, wonder what she’ll give us?

The big white winged thing is on the move! It’s laboriously climbing down the tree, wait a minute! It’s Lisa I would recognise those jugs anywhere!

Doodle Sat 19-Dec-20 00:13:29

? I’m dreaming of a White Christmas ?............oh no it’s not snow.......Lisa fell off the tree and landed on me.....all I can see is white......

Lisagran Sat 19-Dec-20 07:30:35

Phew, what a night, only just made it to the bottom of the tree - these oak trees are big fellas. I think I’ll go for a full breakfast with extra vodka on the side after my long stint on top.

Wish I’d read the instructions in full before I had your cocktail Doodle. I did the shake bit, then I lit but didn’t read the stand well back...... now I have no eyebrows and my scorched hair won’t lie down

LauraNorder Sat 19-Dec-20 08:43:41

Btw there’s a big queue of familiar faces here in A&E

AGAA4 Sat 19-Dec-20 15:49:31

Ended up with the Admiral in his hammock as my earring got caught on his jacket button and I couldn't get free.
He was blotto and snored like a fog horn on the Thames interspersed with mutterings " I love you Lemon, Marry me Doodle, Laura is a bit of alright."
When he started asking Gnasher to run away with him I had had enough. Yelled for Thor to come and release me.

LauraNorder Sat 19-Dec-20 18:02:29

I hope gnasher chased him all the way to the docks AGA the Admiral needs a few nips on his buttocks. Thor to the rescue again, I hope you gave him a suitable reward.

Doodle Sat 19-Dec-20 18:59:50

Sorry about that Laura it was a bit lethal. I think it was a recipe they used in the olden days for blowing up stuff.blush

LauraNorder Sat 19-Dec-20 19:12:21

Don’t worry Doodle I’ve booked in to the tattoo parlour to have new eyebrows, just hope they don’t do them as high as Shocked Sheila, she always looks surprised?

lemongrove Sat 19-Dec-20 19:14:18

‘Oh what a night! Late December 1963, such a very special night for me, what a fella what a night’ ( warble)
Are you all singing that in your heads?
Well, it was another special night last night btw ( wink wink nudge nudge say no more.)
The reason? George and I spent the night together on a double lilo in the cellar.

LauraNorder Sat 19-Dec-20 19:37:28

Well I saw George on his way to meet you Lemon he was covered in shiny, sparkly stuff, hope you didn’t catch tinselitis.

lemongrove Sat 19-Dec-20 19:45:46

It was worth it if I did?

Doodle Sat 19-Dec-20 19:55:00

It wasn’t a double lilo lemon it was me and you kept me awake all night with your moaning and groaning. ?

lemongrove Sat 19-Dec-20 19:57:32

Oh! Haha, apologies dear Doodle I did think the lilo was very warm and comfy, that explains it.
Hope we didn’t flatten you too much.Anyway, your sacrifice wasn’t made in vain.

Doodle Sat 19-Dec-20 21:13:05

No I wasn’t flattened lemon but you kept me awake with you shouting more, more in one ear and George shouting help, help in the other.

lemongrove Sun 20-Dec-20 22:32:30

Poor old George.....he isn’t as young as he was!
Well, back to reality now, am off to the scullery to peel a 100cwt of sprouts, am doing Christmas dinners in The Argy all this week .....should be a healthy profit in it at 7/6d a head.

AGAA4 Mon 21-Dec-20 15:47:52

George was heard begging his chauffeur to drive him away as fast as possible. We may not see him for a while.
I am making Christmas dinner poteen with roast potatoes and parsnips with some pigs in blankets floating on top.
I have hung mistletoe all around the bar but have a feeling we may regret that.
Doodle has made Christmas hats for all the llamas. They are looking very festive.

Doodle Tue 22-Dec-20 19:48:01

AGA dear, pigs in blankets means sausages in bacon. It does not mean Farmer Giles best Tamworth pigs with a knitted scarf tied round their middles. Fish them out at once before he finds out ?

AGAA4 Tue 22-Dec-20 19:52:01

Oh no! Sorry. Damn recipe

lemongrove Tue 22-Dec-20 19:53:01

Ah! Pork flavoured poteen....just the job?
AGA is an innocent Doodle and those big fat porkers do look cute in the woolly scarves.

lemongrove Tue 22-Dec-20 19:55:48

Am hoping for some stolen kisses under the mistletoe this Christmas from someone special ( no, not Steamy Stan)

Lisagran Tue 22-Dec-20 20:45:27

“Stollen kisses”, lemongrove - is that the fancy name for that stodgy Scandinavian Christmassy cake?

lemongrove Tue 22-Dec-20 21:48:38

No, it’s the fancy name for the stodgy Scaninavian barman,
Thor!????

lemongrove Tue 22-Dec-20 21:49:49

Get on with arranging those Christmassy jugs Lisa.....chop chop!
