Good Morning Friday
(62 Posts)Good morning Mick and all
It’s beginning to brighten up here in S E Essex, I wish I could!! We should be landing at Nairobi Airport about now to visit eldest son, we could never have predicted when they left us at the airport last year and we said see you in this spot next year what a mess the world would be in
We have baby here today and school pick up for his brother (school is next door but one so quick and easy apart from masks and social distancing).
Marydoll sorry to hear your sad news, sending (((hugs))) to all our Goodmorningers
Keep safe and well folks ?♀️
Good morning from a dry and bright Essex by the sea. The picture was taken at 6.30 this morning, the sky was a beautiful red.
Our car is ready to be collected from the repairer and hasn't cost as much as we were expecting, good news.
A walk later, yesterday it seemed that the world and his wife had decided to walk along the sea wall. Luckily it is all very open.
Grandmattie it looks like we had the same sky this morning.
Mary sorry to hear your sad news, there is a lot of it about at the moment.
Have a pleasant Friday and stay safe everyone xx
Good morning Mick Mary and All.
A cloudy cold day here in South Bucks.
It’s lovely to see those early morning pictures.
Mary how sad is the news about the death of your DH’s friend’s wife and family from this horrid disease. I think we all have to hold tight, follow the rules and guard ourselves and our love ones from Covid. The scientists are growing ever nearer to a vaccine. Keep going folks.
I will go for my solitary walk this morning near some local woods where other walkers keep well clear of each other. Then back to the ironing unless I can persuade NannyJ to add mine to hers. ?. I will of course fit in some tennis from Paris.
Good morning Mick all from a dark Glasgow. Of course its dark, its the middle of the night, but DH is golfing and I have a long awaited empty!
My best friend Alexa predicts sunny spells, so at least the washing will dry!
A poster said she had never heard of an empty, until she read it here. It was a term used by my children and their friends as teenagers, to denote a situation when parents were out for the evening or even better, on holiday.
On returning from holiday, I once found a cigar behind the
conservatory sofa. It wasn't the cigar which concerned me, it was the circumstances surrounding it being there in the first place, as none of us have ever smoked...... or so I thought!! ?
We received some very sad news yesterday. The widow of DH's friend, who died last year, has died of Covid. Apparently she caught Covid, at a pre hip op assessment in hospital, as did her daughter and SIL, who accompanied her. ?
I now understand why my consultant won't let me near a hospital. I'm finding this isolation so difficult.
DAD'S fiancée told me that her sister who works in the Covid ward of our local hospital , has lost eleven patients in the last few weeks. She is so distressed by it all that she couldn't face own her aunt's funeral last week.
Today I will relish the solitude, as I potter about, waiting for the Tesco delivery, with MY music playing.
I'm not sure what else to be up too. I don't fancy baking today.
Yesterday's Mars Bar cake didn't quite go to plan. I realised that I had run out of Coco Pops after I had melted the Mars Bars. So unlike me! ☹ Ever resourceful, I broke up some dark chocolate digestives to add bulk. DS2 messaged to say it was delicious!! ?
Wishing everyone a pleasant day, whatever your plans. Please stay safe and take no risks.
Good morning everyone, too dark to tell what the weather is like..walk to Rivington pike planned and takeaway hot chocolate from the pike shack..
grandMattie..my mojo has disappeared also...maybe they've run off together!
Well just keep safe and upbeat everyone ?
Good Morning from a dry Black Country, it is too dark to see much at the moment.
Next doors security light woke me up this morning, so decided I would not get back to sleep.
It was a lovely sunny day here too yesterday, but didn't venture far. You are very lucky to live near that view Ashcombe.
I was talking to Mum on a video call yesterday afternoon, when my DD called by on the way home from work with a big bunch of flowers for her. She is a very lovely, thoughtful girl. She has so much on her plate, busy job as a Deputy Head, 2 girls etc, but still finds time to look after her Nan.
Paella for diner tonight, instead of the usual homemade beer battered fish and chips. No plans today except for housework, which I have neglected of late. Also tackle a pile of ironing which has been staring at me the past week.
Take care everyone, and stay safe and well
Good Morning all from Severnside. It’s dry. The view east from my window looks very pretty.
Off out early for my weekly shop. Liver planned for my lunch and shall watch 800 Words this afternoon. Might go out into the garden or greenhouse.
Day one done, take care and stay safe ?
Good morning from East Kent. The sky is pale pink with rosy clouds. We’re due another nice day.
Has an OK Spanish class. I feel I’m slipping back and feel rather downhearted. It matches my mood at the moment. Anyone seen my mojo?
Hope today brings relief to those in pain, the sad, the poorly, and everyone. Stay safe.
Good morning, Mick and any other early risers from a dark but dry Torbay.
Well, lockdown #2 has begun with a beautiful sunny day here yesterday although a chilly breeze meant wrapping up warmly to walk on Babbacombe Downs, which is a five minute walk from my flat. We still have a few cruise liners anchored in the bay.
I hope everyone is well and as happy as possible in the circumstances.
Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but its dry outside here in Brackley this morning .
Today ,my usual shop this morning , have a walk to see who is about .
Do a fish & chip lunch in the oven ,and then settle down to watch the Vuelta this afternoon, GB again is in a good position as to the overall podium .
Take Care,
Mick
