Dresses without a defined waist

I’m having a bit of a clothes problem. I’ve always worn separates because the waistlines on dresses are never in the right place for me. Now however I’m finding that all my skirts and trousers slip down onto my hip bones which is uncomfortable and makes them look baggy. Watching The GB sewing Bee I thought I might try the sort of dresses that Esme wears. Does anybody know where I might find them? I’m partially sighted so trawling the internet is difficult.

Try Seasalt. I have some of their waistless dresses. They have lovely fabrics too. You could also look for a shirt dress and not wear the belt.Hope you find something

I have always bought seasalt dresses but without a waistband, as I am tall and it’s always too high (even if I buy from the tall range).

This year quite a lot of designs have a waistline and are in the sale and I am wondering if I am not alone and the waisted dresses haven’t sold.

Usually if they are called a shift dress they have no waistline.

However their clothing is very good quality fabric.

Loved the drop waists when they were the fashion. Of course I was very slim back then.

As I have no defined waist myself that is exactly the sort of dress I have been looking for with no success so it’s still trousers and loose tops for me.

I’m wearing a Seasalt dress as we speak. It’s in organic cotton and is basically a shift with short sleeves and pockets.
