Morning Mick, morning All from a dark, damp and dreary looking corner of Somerset. Friday 13th passed peacefully enough here. Same here Mick, the roads seem as busy as ever. Not sure what we’ll do today, not wet weather walkers I suspect a day inside. Mr C is tackling a very pretty but it seems challenging jigsaw, I’ll probably settle and carry on sorting photos. So sorry about your husband, Lins, waiting is so hard. flowers. Good to hear he’s in expert hands and is having prompt treatment, yes the NHS at its best. Special thoughts for all struggling for whatever reason. Take care everyone, stay safe.

Good morning Mick and all. Dark and wet underfoot here on the S Welsh coast. Didn't get around to posting yesterday as somehow the day got away from me. Mr Lins has had discomfort in his eye for a few days now and rang the optician's, she fitted him and then asked him to come back at lunchtime when she had more time as she wanted to put in some drops to have a better look. She thought he had a tear in the retina and told him to go straight to the eye dept at our local hospital. Luckily our daughter was able to drive him. After tests the doctor diagnosed a detached retina which needs an immediate op. It was late afternoon by this time, Mr L was told to come home and the doctor would ring with instructions. He rang about 5.30 and got him into Bristol Eye Hospital for 8 am, he is now en route.
A worrying and unsettling day, did someone say it was Friday the 13th? We are grateful to all concerned, thank you NHS.

I did read the posts late yesterday and I'm sorry to hear that you've been upset Marydoll, hope you have been buoyed by the support on here for you. You too Maw. Hope that your daughter is better Susan and that you are a little easier Cherry.
Hope today is kind to everyone and stay safe.

Good Morning everyone. A wet start on Severnside with more rain forecast for the day.
I’m not seeing the amount of families out for a walk like the last lockdown, if any.
I’m going to try and get into my book today. It’s The Giver of Stars. Apart from short stories in magazines I’ve been finding it difficult to get into books this year.
I’ll also give the craft room floor a hoover and then I’ll be able to see how much is actually stuck to the floor ?

Have a stay safe Saturday all ?

Good morning, one and all, from a wet and windy Torbay,

Thank you lovely folk for the interest in my car hire saga.

Today I’m spending with my “bubble” buddy to help her wrap presents for her grandchildren, an ideal indoor activity on such a horrid day.

Make the best of this miserable day, weather wise. Stay safe and well, my friends.

Good Morning Everyone,
its dark and its raining outside here in brackley this morning .
Today , apart from getting a Chinese Take away alter will be spent indoors .
Yesterday , I went out lunchtime ,and the local market was on , so I went to a stallholder I know , to order wreathes for family graves which will be ready in early December .
Mind you the town centre was busy for a lockdown , cars coming through the town centre continually, the butchers had a que , which could also be a case of people ordering Xmas meat.
Take Care ,
Mick
