So Boris has to isolate. Why no masks?

^Some leaders even cough into their hands without a mask.^

At least he's not coughing into the space around him and spreading his aerosols widely.

I find it unusual to see Macron without a mask, Ellianne (though no doubt you're going to find loads of examples of him maskless, specially for me)

I do follow him Maizie and on the whole il est sage. I believe he was wearing a mask initially but started coughing so took it off.
Not sure what the logic there was?
Should have left the room to get a bottle of Evian of water in private.

In our office it is mandatory to wear a mask when walking around, but not whilst sitting at your desk.

when ever there is a ‘problem’ within the ranks Johnson goes missing

Well, from what I was reading yesterday (from the Sunday Times) it really doesn't matter if he's there or not because he's just an empty vessel waiting to be filled with the opinion of the last person to talk to him. So cutting out the middleman makes no difference...

My dd wears a mask all day in the office

There are photographs of Johnson showing the invited MPs around no 10 last Thursday as part of the meeting and SD was not being practiced. 5 MPs are now self isolating, receiving their full salary for not following guidance. Nice Leadership - don’t you just love it ?

There seems to be a bit of a pattern when ever there is a ‘problem’ within the ranks Johnson goes missing
Not being nasty, not being over the top, just saying

moggie57 Mon 16-Nov-20 10:49:05

Because like most mps they think they exempt.because they are in a secure surroundings .makes them one of the biggest twits that refuse to wear a face mask

BlueBelle Mon 16-Nov-20 10:49:00

Most offices arent working but when my family have to go into the office once in a while YES they all wear masks

Jaxjacky Mon 16-Nov-20 10:45:51

Do others wear masks in the office? I don’t know.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 16-Nov-20 10:19:02

Trump never wears a mask or at least only when he has absolutely no choice.

We never see Biden without one.

I have rarely seen Johnson with a mask.

Some leaders set a good example and understand that their actions have consequences, other leaders are narcissistic idiots.

For that matter, how do we know that 'others leaders (who) have no problem with it' do?

It is only recently that masks have started to be worn in schools with hundreds of children and teachers why would anyone worry about a few people round a table?!? Surely Carrie will now have more time with Boris's ear.

Good points for first posting

Bathsheba Mon 16-Nov-20 10:16:19

Yes, exactly, how does anyone know whether BJ and his cabinet members or other invited guests wear masks when inside No. 10?

For that matter, how do we know that 'others leaders (who) have no problem with it' do?

Good points suziewoozie.

Johnson setting a good example ???????????
But the touching unquestioned blind adoration of his followers is good for a laugh isn’t it on a rainy morning

25Avalon Mon 16-Nov-20 10:14:03

There is a photo on Twitter claiming social distancing. No masks!

suziewoozie Mon 16-Nov-20 10:12:41

If they were wearing masks and socially distancing he wouldnt have needed to self isolate. And why a face to face meeting anyway - al those at the meeting could have WFH as per guidelines. Meanwhile back in the RW of schools .........

MaizieD Mon 16-Nov-20 10:12:19

It's a little thing called 'Setting a good example' Jane10. Other leaders have no problem with it.

Jane10 Mon 16-Nov-20 10:06:30

How do you know that no one wears masks at No10? We only see posed photographs or specially filmed press conferences

25Avalon Mon 16-Nov-20 10:01:39

How come they have meetings IN No. 10 but no one wears a mask? Ok they say they social distance but not to wear masks is surely irresponsible. Maybe they thought no one would know or Boris wasn’t too bothered as he has already had Covid. Now he has to isolate for 14 days. Perhaps that means Carrie won’t find it so easy to pull his strings.
