I’m just about to put the bed linen out on the line to dry, it’s such a bind having to close all the windows before I go out for my walk then remembering to open them again when I get back. So a walk then either read or my cross stitch embroidery bookmark to get on with. Looks like it’s going to stay dry and I can’t believe how mild it is I’m only putting my heating on for an hour or two in the evening even though I set it on constant I have the thermostat down as I’m not feeling cold certainly keep my heating bills down this year.

Enjoy your day whatever you do.

Pottering around and then eating out with my husband today.
Finishing off my online Christmas present shopping.

Albertina sounds a very wise plan! I am so busy today.....not. Nothing to do except walk the dog and iron my duvet cover?

Walked round for my newspaper, now done 40 minutes piano practice, ready for FaceTime piano lesson later on. Yet to hand the washing out - looks nice and blowy outside.

Another cleaning morning. Just stopped for coffee. I’ve cleaned kitchen windows and washed the Venetian blind. A load of towels have been washed now hanging on pulley above the aga. Just ordered my Christmas stamps from Royal Mail on Internet. I’ve already taken the three dogs out and it was so windy. I’ll go out again shortly with my youngest dog for about an hour he is reactive so it is never a pleasant relaxing walk. Tuesday morning is usually dog agility but it isn’t on currently.

I’m still snuggled up in the couch feeling miserable, with a really heavy cold-one of those that starts off using up boxes of tissues, then adds a cough and no smell or taste.
I was so worried that I got a COVID test and the results arrived this morning-NEGATIVE.
Just need to feel better now.

Raining here, so no walk. Will collect some logs this morning and this aft may do DHs tax return, been thinking I need to get it done for months.

Shopping at our local Sainsbury’s, wilco and Lidl.
Then back for lunch vacuum front room and try and watch the crown which I haven’t be able to see due to buffering, whole of Britain is watching it I think.?

merlotgran Tue 17-Nov-20 09:54:56

I'll be splitting logs for half an hour. DH has had a femoral angiogram and can't do anything strenuous for a few days. Then it will be soup making and catching up with cleaning jobs.

Ain't life grand when you're having fun?? hmm grin

I live alone and am in the middle of moving house. My family are travelling to me when we have a completion date and we are doing the removal ourselves.

Every day consists of packing boxes, cleaning and taking exciting trips to the tip. My little dog is thoroughly confused by it all.

I have lived in this house for 27 years but am finding it too much to manage. I also have a large garden and am on a steep hill. It has been a great place to raise my children.

I am ashamed to say that I have come back to bed.I did so much yesterday I felt a bit shaky this morning. I am nearly sorted. Just the garage to deal with now. Do I keep that tin of paint or not ??

Continuing with my online Christmas shopping which I started with a vengeance last night after giving myself a stern talking to. I spent a very enjoyable couple of hours on the Wentworth jigsaw site - jigsaws seem like a good lockdown gift and easy to post if necessary. Lakeland catalogue this morning for smaller gifts ( and no doubt I’ll find several, items I suddenly realise I can’t live without). Also need to catch up,on emails. No housework

Froglady Tue 17-Nov-20 09:49:49

Not a lot. I have a book to finish so I can post it on to the next person on the list who is interested in reading it: and that's about it. Not a busy day in any shape of size!

missdeke Tue 17-Nov-20 09:48:47

Picking up more leaves (big sigh). I have already got piles on the compost heap', in the compost bin and 10 large black sacks full, the garden recycling bin is already full and the last collection is coming up. Not quite sure what I'll do with the next lot.

Taking dog for walk, then settling down to Christmas knitting, listening to Planet Rock Radio. Too dreary to do gardening.

moobox Tue 17-Nov-20 09:42:05

Washing done. Now on Zoom photoshop course

Onthenaughtystep1 Tue 17-Nov-20 09:20:17

It’s chucking it down here in Glasgow today where we are awaiting Oor Nicola’s announcement of whether the central belt area is going up to level 4 lockdown.
Cannae wait. ?

I hope to sweep and wash the downstairs floors, and wash the 2 dog blankets. These are fleece and dry quite easily indoors.

My brown bin has been emptied and I want to bring it in off the pavement into the back garden and put some heaps of leaves in it, off the gravel.

Hope to answer a difficult arguer on the discussion website.

We have fairly good weather today and have planned to go on a hike. We have about 30 mins drive out to the Palatinate forest and there is absolutely no one there during the week.

DH has just popped out for a loaf to make some sandwiches.

I am just looking round at the jobs I'll have to leave till this afternoon, empty dishwasher, fold up washing.

Chewbacca Tue 17-Nov-20 08:52:29

Weekly food shop for me and then it's a "run to preschool, grab GS, run to school and grab GD" day today. The weather is fine here today so a short stop off at the park will probably be asked for, before home for tea and games. I always sleep well on a Tuesday night! grin

Newquay Tue 17-Nov-20 08:50:58

I’m meeting up with a friend at local NT property for a walk round the extensive grounds.
This afty Zoom French.
If it’s still light enough afterwards I have some sewing repairs for local DD1.
Listen to some choral pieces for zoom rehearsals tonight then telly.

I have the washing machine on with bed linen so putting clean linen on will be my first task. I then will go for a walk while it is still dry. I have some ironing to do and i then plan to wrap up christmas gifts, curstesy of a well known online service. I may also write cards. I also have a call to make regarding a planned trip to Cornwall next April and hopefully will book it. Its good to have things to do for a change.smile
