Quiet day , may nip out later otherwise I will stay in, when out yesterday I was starting to see fewer people about .
What the week will bring will be interesting to see .
Take Care,

Good Morning from Soggy Harrogate (*Mick*) knows what that's like!!
I have a very short emptie so trying to race before DH comes back or my school friend phones!
Well, I've made a right hash up of my royal icing!! Will have to put it back in the bowl and add more icing sugar, I added too much lemon juice.
DH is accusing me of not getting enough bread, the problem being it went mouldy too quick and got chucked out!!
Nearly finished Xmas preparations, I'll have to get back to cleaning the house again.
Don't know about you, but I'm sick and tired of the Brexit negotiations. I don't know why they can't shelve them and concentrate on getting rid of COVID!!
Off the soap box again, no idea what the rest of the day will bring, but hope for the rest of you it will bring peace and wellness.
Good Morning to you all from a gloomy, wet Cambs.,
Lovely photos today, a beautiful card, Beechnut,
ginny, wonderful arrangements. Pretty flowers to cheer us, Nortsat. That's an impressive fireplace, gingster.
Good to see the Nativity, hollysteers
Thank you all.
Congratulations on your anniversary, dragonfly, (1946 & 1968 were very good years.!)
It's the shortest day, so we must all look forward to longer,
& better days.
Warm wishes to all with extra worries, problems & pain.
Good morning all,
I’ve just quickly scrolled the posts as I’m a bit late getting started with the thread this morning, but noticed your lovely card, Beechnut. Thank you, it’s very kind of you to post it to us. The wishes are reciprocated. ?
It’s a dismal morning - I think it’s going to remain like this for the rest of the day and won’t really get very light. Quite a contrast to yesterday.
I will get on with a few indoor jobs today, including some ironing.
Take care everyone.
Awful weather here, had a busy few days and the new garden shed is now installed and some things put away. Hope everyone is safe and well, or getting better. Hope the latest restrictions are not impacting too badly.
Where’s Pantglas and LauraNorder gotten to? Has Anglesey drifted off somewhere?
Especially where's Pantglas, since she usually posts quite early Urmstongran.
I’m here Urms, late as ever. Hopefully Pantglas will be along soon.
Lovely card Beechnut, Merry Christmas to you too.
Happy Anniversary to the Dragonflies.
Lovely fireplace Gingster.
Lots of super flowers and a great nativity light.
Forget to say Good morning to Mick and all you other chatty and lovely people, have a good day, be safe, be well, keep calm and carry on
Forgot not forget which doesn’t sound right at all
Wishing Mr&Mrsdragonfly a very Happy anniversary ??
Morning all from a very wet Ashford (Kent)! Got woken up by the traffic at 07.30. The diverted non-freight traffic from the M20 was going along the A20 the other side of my garden fence. Operation Stack is in place from junction 8 to 11 - a distance of 30 miles. That’s an awful lot of trucks, parked up on two lanes. I feel sorry for the drivers, ( my DH is a domestic HGV driver!) they had little or no warning so won’t be prepared for at least 48 hours of delay. There are no toilet facilities so one can imagine what’s going to happen in the grass verges!
Got woken again at 09.30 by a charity shop I had arranged a pick up with , for tomorrow- cancelled till whenever!
At least Sainsbury’s confirmed my delivery for this evening! DH will still be working until Christmas Eve morning( driving up to Birmingham during the night ) then he’s off until January 4th. Just the two of us on Christmas Day. DS, DGDs and DIL live in Essex , my estranged DD and family ( hubby & 3 boys) live on Malta.
Hope everyone has the best time they can. As Julian of Norwich said “ This too shall pass!” And after today, the days get longer- soon be summer!
* Marydoll* - take it easy! Look after yourself.
How are you feeling Urmstongran ?
I have sorted the fridge, have got two hams cooking in the range which is making the house smell very festive (they are to go in the food gift bags for two AC) I will cook ours and DD’s on Christmas Eve. Now I am going to sort out a larder cupboard, deep joy ?
Perhaps Ian Blackford has cut Wales’s wi-fi off ? as part of his Covid measures.
Thanks for asking GG13 I’m okay just trying keeping a sense of perspective whilst waiting for the doctor to ring me back. I’m such a worry wart. Wish I wasn’t. My health anxiety goes into overdrive.
Just been chatting to my stepfather. Bless him at 88y he’s always so upbeat. A real tonic. Said we will bob over to see him tomorrow (on the bus!). Tell you what Mick there’s some pretty odd characters about on public transport. I try not to make eye contact...
?
GrannyGravy, I must be really thick, but what do you mean about Ian Blackford? I even looked on the news to see if I had missed something?
I think GG has had an early Sherry or two. Mixing her Drakefords with her Blackfords.
I know the SNP get the blame for lots of things, but I thought that was taking it a bit too far!
Sorry Scottish Grans, I had reverted to my old iPad and it was causing me no end of problems this morning.
It has started a new thread that I was going to start several weeks ago, as I had apparently left the window open the keyboard was playing up. Back on new one now. I desperately need your expertise Marydoll
I am sure I typed Drakeford, no Sherry yet but the technology malfunctions could drive me to the drinks cupboard ?
Well, after speaking to my friend in Alloway - she is hopping mad after most of Scotland will be in Tier 4 on Boxing day, including the more isolated parts!!
Yes, Beechnut, a lovely Christmas card - thank you
Sorry not so good yesterday, Harrigran Hope today is better.
Happy Anniversary to the Dragonflys!
Afternoon from Co. Durham. It is a wet and miserable day here. Just returned from shopping at my local Tesco. It was manic. I doubled up on some items as there is no way I am going next week. If I run out I will go to my local shop.
