I've received a few messages asking to continue the 1000 words thread. It has obviously given many people pleasure and some positivity. For anyone who doesn't know, posters come on with their photographs of pretty much anything and we take it from there. Nature is always a good one.

A view through the bridge on my evening walk.

Josieann where are you?

I think that she has left GN sad

Josieann We saw them filming Doc Martin in Port Isaac a few years ago. It was fascinating. We had no idea it was filmed there. Martin Clunes was lovely, posing for photos and chatting to people.
On the Friday night, a group singing sea shanties set up in the beach. We saw them on TV a couple of years later. They were The Fisherman's Friends. What a lovely holiday.

Last night’s moon.

Any Doc Martin fans? They were filming in Port Isaac today. You can just see the bumbling policeman outside the chemist.

High water at Ladybower in the Peak District last week.

On my walk today I saw these snowdrops amongst the brambles.
And the river I was walking beside.

That's cute JackyB. My DGS would be busy taking doors off with the screwdriver on that table!

That's a shame nanna. I had a problem loading photos once. GNHQ helped me out. We will have to imagine yours!

nanna8 Mon 07-Mar-22 06:40:18

Last try !

JackyB Mon 07-Mar-22 06:32:13

That yellow and blue landscape is prizeworthy Josieann.

Here is a photo my DiL sent me a while back of my DGS aged about 19 months, doing the cryptic crossword. You can tell his parents are academics!

Josieann Sun 06-Mar-22 22:01:30

He's being very shy nanna8.

nanna8 Sun 06-Mar-22 21:59:26

He didn’t come out- here he is

nanna8 Sun 06-Mar-22 21:57:50

Here is an echidna we saw on Thursday near Inverloch in Australia. He let us get right up close and personal.

In a world of turmoil I tried to create a picture of peace this weekend using the colours of the Ukrainian flag.

FannyCornforth Wed 23-Feb-22 13:45:20

But it’s not moving up sad

FannyCornforth Wed 23-Feb-22 13:44:13

It’s showing on the list now! smile

Josieann Wed 23-Feb-22 12:32:20

Good point about the active list MiniMoon. The loss of this thread on the list pretty much killed it in terms of several people asking not finding it. So the more photo threads the better!
Beautiful cake, so neat, and pretty colours.

MiniMoon Wed 23-Feb-22 11:11:49

That won't matter Josieann. Put anything you like on it. I started a new thread, because whenever I post on 1000 words, I never seem to be able to get it on to the active list.

This is my 70th birthday cake. I don't eat cake, but everyone else enjoyed it.

Josieann Wed 23-Feb-22 09:15:22

That thread looks like it is exclusively for spring flowers though? The OP might not like it if we gate crash it with pets, architecture, scenery etc.

Josieann Wed 23-Feb-22 09:11:50

Ooo that's good, it shows how much photos are needed to brighten someone's day!

JackyB Wed 23-Feb-22 07:54:09

A new thread has started now: www.gransnet.com/forums/chat/1307099-The-Gransnet-Photography-Gallery

Rubbish photo, but Tom Daley just came pedalling through the village for Comic Relief. I believe he was in a canoe on The Thames yesterday or the day before. I love this guy!

Such precision!

Josieann Sat 08-Jan-22 13:32:06

The beavers have been beavering away here.

The last few rays of 2021 here in the West. Thanks for the amazing photos this year again.
