I've received a few messages asking to continue the 1000 words thread. It has obviously given many people pleasure and some positivity. For anyone who doesn't know, posters come on with their photographs of pretty much anything and we take it from there. Nature is always a good one.

Yes, my jugs are very useful, Namsnanny grin

Apple blossom Amaryllis.
They're so tall and majestic, and the flowers are very exotic, but my camera (phone) doesnt take clear enough photos up close.

One of you talented painters out there would to a wonderful job of capturing their beauty I'm sure.

BTW where is everyone, gone on strike?? smile

Lovely photos of the ponies Ashcombe. One mare looks very pregnant, and the foals are so sweet!

Ellianne not seen you about for a week or so. Are you okay?

Namsnanny Fri 05-Feb-21 12:08:49

I did see her on a other thread LauraNorder recently, but not on here for a while.
Ooops! I'm talking about someone in the third person, is that ok?

LauraNorder Fri 05-Feb-21 12:44:04

Glad you’ve seen her around nams anny. I often cross her path on other threads but noticed not for a while that’s why I came here because I know it’s her photo lab smile.
Rules about mentioning others should apply if gossiping but hopefully not when checking that others are okay, especially when we have a pandemic.

Namsnanny, sorry, trying to type too fast, missed a letter.

Namsnanny Fri 05-Feb-21 12:55:20

Dont worry about spelling LauraNorder a convivial reply makes up for everything!! smile
Yes, it's funny but I do worry about people on here too.

This was taken a few months ago when we were allowed to have GC visit. All the little ones have loved playing with this (very dated looking) dolls house, I laughed at the four year old’s set up.

I hope you can zoom in to have a look at the room on the bottom left. grin

Thank you GN photo friends, so kind.

Lisagran Fri 05-Feb-21 13:00:23

Crocuses and little daffs coming now. Glad you’re ok, Ellianne

A “mackerel” sky I think it’s called, from the end of last summer.

Lovely Amaryllis, Namsnanny. You could download the Waterlogue app and ‘paint’ your pictures on that smile

FannyCornforth Sat 06-Feb-21 12:20:36

Hello - I'm going to do a quick shameless detail, sorry!
Amaryllis - how long should one expect the flowers to last? I had one this year and it barely lasted five days sad This isn't right is it?

FannyCornforth Sat 06-Feb-21 12:21:01

Derail, not detail

Lisagran Sat 06-Feb-21 12:40:19

Amaryllis flowers should last at least 10 days - often up to 3 weeks. Better moved to a slightly cooler spot once the flowers show.
