I've received a few messages asking to continue the 1000 words thread. It has obviously given many people pleasure and some positivity. For anyone who doesn't know, posters come on with their photographs of pretty much anything and we take it from there. Nature is always a good one.

Spring starting in the garden

Ellianne Wed 17-Feb-21 10:19:54

I must attempt collage images Lisa. Is it best to stick to one theme/colour?

Hurry up spring.

Lisagran Wed 17-Feb-21 10:22:23

Good to just play with the images I guess. Sometimes contrast is good. These are all the colours there are in the garden just now!

The grebe is my favourite water bird, but as soon as you zoom in on then they disappear under the water! Patience paid off yesterday, but the disappearing backside (photgraphed last year) is what I usually get!

Clever Lisagran, and wonderful grebe photos Greyduster, beautiful signs of spring Ellianne. I’ve just learned to post a single photo and am pleased with myself!
Looking forward to this on our tiny pond later this year.

Ooh some very lovely photographs and clever collages. Beyond me I am afraid. I love your pond grandmajet, always wanted a pond ...with frogs.
One year ago today we were on our way home from holiday in the Dominican Republic, discussing plans to return the following year as we had such an amazing time.
Today I would be over the moon just to go to a gym class let alone one on a beautiful sunny beach.

I cut some forsythia from a neighbourhood shrub. Blooming beautifully after a week in a vase. It's so nice to have a glimps of spring, we are having a cold snap here.

A memory from August 2019. Vienna I wonder when we will be able to get back on holiday

Nothing in bloom yet in my garden

Blossoming Thu 18-Feb-21 11:55:30

The sun is shining here, making life feel brighter ?

Happyme Thu 18-Feb-21 19:03:29

First lambs of the year...spring ?.
Sorry for poor quality picture!

Ellianne Thu 18-Feb-21 20:01:15

A lovely sight Happyme especially the little lamb next to the mummy.

Greyduster Fri 19-Feb-21 10:05:30

This old Denby coffee pot was what my mum’s. It lends itself well to daffs and tulips.

I thought the season of melliw mists was well passed. I nearly just lost the dog round the corner.
Bring on spring photos.

Ellianne Sun 21-Feb-21 13:23:56

Oops *mellow

Ellianne Sun 21-Feb-21 13:25:44

What a difference a day makes, 24 little hours.

Beautiful spring flowers in the church yard of a village close to me.

Photos didn't work first time.
