I’ve finished the dress and I am so proud of my efforts. It is a bit rough around the edges but I like it.

Beautiful dress scentia I wish I could sew

Scentia you are so talented.
I can’t thread a needle. Literally.

I had to sew a button on a shirt the other day. The eye of the bluddy needle was so tiny. I squinted. In fact there seemed to be 2 eye holes.

Himself goes down to Sainsbury’s earlier in the week & I say if you see some bigger sewing needles will you get a pack.

He came back up laughing. With more of the same ...
Turns out you’re supposed to rest a length of the cotton across the first hole and press down and push it into the second space which captures it. Duh. Easy when you see the directions on the cardboard packet (I’d discarded the other hence the struggle).

No hope for me.

I am much more of a practical person, you certainly wouldn’t find me in pendant’s corner, unless I was the perpetrator of course?
