Panache words can't describe how sad I feel for you and your husband. My thoughts are with you.?

soop Fri 05-Feb-21 15:19:24

Dearest Panache, I cannot for the life of me find the right words to express my sadness at this truly dreadful time. You are always in our collective thoughts. If there is anything that any one of us can do to help you through this nightmare PLEASE share with us. flowers

Thoughts and prayers to you both ?

Greyduster Fri 05-Feb-21 15:32:54

Hello the kitchen! I am nipping in before I go and tackle a pile of ironing I should have done this morning, but we took advantage of the weather and had a dry path walk (where we could find such!) to try and shake me out of a grumpy malaise I had fallen into. I should be ashamed - I have absolutely nothing to be grumpy about.
Panache what a great burden you bear with such fortitude. I hope your DH’s current treatment brings him relief from his pain and discomfort. Please look after yourself. A day at a time is the only way to go at the moment.
N&G It didn’t take Sam long to get the measure of your efforts to keep him encumbered by the collar, did it? Clever lad! Hope he’s making progress.
Namsnanny you might just be lucky on the brownie front. I sent half of them over for GS and his maid and butler to sample, but we haven’t finished our half yet, and they do improve with keeping.
I am very partial to cheese straws Feelingmyage, so yes please!
Now, did I say something about ironing☹️? Take care, kitcheners old and new, and stay safe!

Some cheery catkins for you from my walk this morning. Any frogspawn round here is in for a shock, with the weather we are expecting!

AWOL for a while, family worries, your post was the first I saw panache, I’m saddened and so sorry your husband is suffering. You’ll be worrying until he’s home I know but please rest, gather your strength. My love to you both.

I’ll not be able to catch up with everyone so my apologies. Belated congratulations for your returned internet connection soop, a major relief for you both.

Is Sam mending n&g? His collar did make me smile.

Hope you found the cleaner and located the sockets charleygirl, no such worries for me as Mr C is floor cleaner in chief and yes, I do know how lucky I am. Ironing finished greyd? Odd bod that I am I enjoy it.

Time for sleep. Take care everyone, TOYA.

NanaandGrampy Sat 06-Feb-21 11:29:06

Morning all,

So sorry to hear your news Panache , really hope things improve a little .

Yes, Corner Sam is definitely on the mend. The huge lump is at least nice and clean and is maybe shrinking a little . He sees the vet next Friday when the decision will be made as to whether he will need an op.

The sky is laden and grey and I will be surprised if we don't have snow. We shall see .

Managed a quick post last night but a little more time this morning as I wait for the shopping delivery. My lovely husband is up and about again with strict instructions no heavy lifting.

Mya is so much better but not letting me know she wants her morning poop. I was putting a large sheet of plastic down by the front door in case she got caught out in the night which did (for two weeks). I think she has just got used doing it there. A midnight walk before bed didn't bring forth anything. Anyway, I set the alarm for sunrise and off we went for a walk. Beautiful sunrise and crispy underfoot. Success.

I'm cleaning the slate floor in our bedroom in our new home today and putting the king size bed back together again. We hope to move into it later this year. That's home and bed grin Been saying this for three years now. The bed had been put up in the living area for my daughter to sleep in at Christmas. That didn't happen. You might wonder why the bed wasn't put up in the bedroom. hmm husband was using it as workroom.

Had a few days away from posting on GN. Spent too much time reading a few particular threads which did perturb me.

To everyone not 100% I send lots of virtual hugs. Oh for a real one.sad
