Have you been in the freezer and checked?? I lost a ring and found it at the bottom of mine. It must have slipped off when I went to fetch something and then made it's way to the bottom basket over the next few weeks. One day I opened the door to the freezer and there it was glinting at me.

Relief, husband just gone to make a fry up, noticed I’d cleaned the hob, ring was in the little sink tidy thing for sponge etc.....phew, note to self, don’t do cleaning!
Thank you for your ideas, bathroom, bed and bin were checked...chair and sofa moved. I am so relieved, it’s called a keeper ring, my husband bought it for my 60th as apparently I’m a keeper ? so great sentimental value.
