Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark, but wet ground outside , due to snow melting here in Brackley .
Today, I will do a small shop later this morning, but otherwise watch TV , have a nap later on after lunch .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. It’s grey and cold in South Yorkshire. Very late waking this morning after a night of sundry anxieties and then weird dreams. I woke up feeling as if I had slept on a corrugated tin roof! Nothing much planned today except to clean the oven and walk down to the supermarket to buy some French beans to go with dinner. Hope your day is more productive than mine. Stay safe all!

LauraNorder Wed 27-Jan-21 10:00:45

Gelisajams what fabulous thick hair and an amazing plait.

Jaxjacky Wed 27-Jan-21 10:01:15

LauraNorder I’ve sent you a pm so I don’t bore everyone..

gillgran Wed 27-Jan-21 10:04:18

Good Morning to you all from a dull & misty Cambs.,
Good to read all your posts today.
Happy Birthday to your daughter EllanVannin, also to the DGD's of Urmstongran & LauraNorder. (love the photo of the welcome spring flowers).
I have "hair-envy", Gelisajams, mine is so fine & thin.

How busy you aresheepandcattle as always on a farm. you will be having us all out to Wiltshire to visit you once we are allowed out, in the summer.

Lovely for you to see your DGD Marydoll, just when you needed it in these tough days.

Good to hear that several of you & yours are getting the vaccine. My DH, (as well as grandMattie's & Jaxjacky's DH's). gets his first dose tomorrow.
I hope to get mine soon, but as I have an old basic mobile I'm not sure how I will be able to access the link. (I'm in group 4, DH is in 3, & again like gM, have different surgeries.).

Take Care Folks

Good Morning everyone from sunny and blue etc., (It did rain hard at 5.20am - our cameras showed this!) In tearing hurry as off to Doctor. [You really need to speak to yours now, Harri]. So a few quick comments from me.

Gelisa wow.....your hair is truly lovely. How lucky are you.
Urms Happy B to ‘Tiny Urms’ and I will try your soap dish! Beech have a good cry if you want - it’s normal. Then pull up your BG Pants - it will all be ok.x. Sheep who couldn’t love the way you speak about all your ladies.....and the care you give. On top of that frenzied caregiving, you can still quiz?! We are so impresssed. ginny I’m after an easy part time job...can I manage your diary? ?
Ash migraine and lights, not funny. Feel better today. Legs poor, poor you. But you’re home...please be good and just focus on very little until you’ve recovered. ? Mattie thank you for thinking of me. Enjoy your new ? eyes and sending you sunbeams so you get lots of wear of the ?.

Waiting (again) for further gloom to come from Paris HQ.....hard to stay positive but will damn we’ll try!

Lovely Morning Clubbers, take good care please. Stay safe, stay well and if I’ve overlooked anyone/anything important (typing this from memory) sending you extra ???‍♀️
TOYA x

Jaxjacky Wed 27-Jan-21 10:14:54

gillgran not my DH, he’s only 58!

Gwenisgreat1 Wed 27-Jan-21 10:18:40

Good Morning all from chilly but sunny Harrogate.

I enjoyed my outing yesterday - to get my vaccine!!! Had a bit of a headache since but Hey!
As I am sure you are, I am SO looking forward to when life is 'normal' if ever!!
I do feel guilty sitting here at my laptop while my Roomba totters around the house cleaning my floors - my floors have never been so consistently clean as they are nowadays!
Today I have some baking to do then to sort out a few problems on my laptop and phone.
Well, my Roomba has found it's way back to the charging point with a triumphant fanfare!!

There are a lot of missing posts, hope you are coping and will be back soon. Have a safe day, all.

Granial Wed 27-Jan-21 10:18:41

I joined Gransnet yesterday. Granial is what my grandchildren call me when they want to wind me up!

I recently did the bowel screening and I wondered the same thing about the advance letter. I guess they must had done some research and maybe it’s to ‘prepare’ some people. I have to say the ‘new’ way of giving the sample is much easier than the old three day system!

lovebeigecardigans1955 Wed 27-Jan-21 10:19:44

Morning all from a damp but warmer South Notts where it is apparently 8 degrees - positively balmy compared to last weekend.
Still waiting for a parcel to be collected, Customer Services have said that if nothing happens by the end of today I must ring again and they'll collect free of charge. I should say so - it's their mistake. After dealing with them for over 10 years I may well terminate my account and politely tell them why.
I hope all goes well Sheep I don't think I could stand the worry you have with a herd of animals.
At last I have finished one of the socks I was knitting, I will try to post a pic if I can. I'm a 1/3 of the way down the 2nd.
Best wishes to those of you with illness or worries.

gillgran Wed 27-Jan-21 10:25:50

Sorry GG13, J< & all, got names muddled, Good wishes to you all,.

amselerin Wed 27-Jan-21 10:29:39

Good morning all, I can hardly see my screen as the sunshine is so bright. I shall read all your mails later. I am always looking forward to it. I do learn some new phrases and expressions reading your messages. Not speaking much english now only to my children when we chat on the phone. With my granddaughter here I only converse in English. But she lives in Hamburg. The highlight of my day yesterday was buying fish and shopping. Of course I take my little dog for walks. Wearing a mask when going out is not so pleasant. My sister lost her hearing aid when she took the mask of and it fell under the bus.
I am wishing you all only good news and if you have problems or are ill, I hope that everything will be better soon. Take care.

Aldom Wed 27-Jan-21 10:30:39

Marydol My kindest thoughts and wishes for the granddaughter of your friend, and for the family too. flowers

Gagagran Wed 27-Jan-21 10:32:42

We dashed too when we got the call to say if you come now you can both have the jab. Mind you we did qualify being 77 and 78 with asthma (me) and cancer patient (DH). Seems a sensible way to use up any vaccine left from non-shows.

Gagagran Wed 27-Jan-21 10:34:56

Latest health bulletin from DD is that her temperature has stabilised but she feels grim. DSiL is feeling much better and DGS is still sleeping a lot but a bit better.

faringdon59 Wed 27-Jan-21 10:37:55

Good morning everyone from a damp and rainy Wiltshire.
However, on my kitchen table I have a jug full of daffs!! which I bought last night whilst doing the shop for essential foods.
At a £1 a bunch they are a cheap way to lift the mood:-)
Neck and shoulders are aching from sitting at a screen so going to motivate myself into going round my kitchen skirting boards with a damp cloth!!
This afternoon will be Seaside Hotel on Netflix.

Urmstongran Wed 27-Jan-21 10:47:44

Tentatively good news Gagagran that’s reassuring to know.

Good luck GF today with your doctor appointment. I think many of us are curious about what can cause excruciating pain for several hours ... then just disappear. x

Won’t it be great GG13 if you get a phone call to rush out for your jab!

grandMattie Wed 27-Jan-21 10:48:35

Grandmafrench, let us know how you got on. Wise move to see dr. X

kathw12 Wed 27-Jan-21 11:20:46

Happy Wednesday everyone from an overcast Liverpool! I’m hiding out in our bedroom while the electrician is here for a few hours doing some work to our newly acquired bungalow! I hate being here with workmen lol luckily my husband deals with it!
Collecting our 5yr old grandson for a sleepover a bit later-we are in a childcare bubble with our daughter. Other than that a quiet day. Have a good one! x

HAZBEEN Wed 27-Jan-21 11:21:57

Good morning all from a cold damp Heathrow, the snow has mostly gone at last.
Had a Tesco delivery this morning, thats now all put away and 2 neighbours shopping delivered to their doorsteps. I have a bit of admin to do today but not a lot else.
Stay safe all, hugs and love to any who need them, welcome to new posters and prayers to friends and loved ones suffering.

ginny Wed 27-Jan-21 11:27:40

Grandmafrench
Do you really think you are up to the job ?
It takes a lot of organisation to have that much spare time ! ?

Blossoming Wed 27-Jan-21 11:36:58

Good morning all. It’s very foggy here and showing no signs of lifting. Just back from the dentist, first trip out in months ?. Will read the thread now.

hollysteers Wed 27-Jan-21 11:50:03

Good morning Mick and all from Sunny Side, northwest coast.
A break from endless rain.
Mooched around so much yesterday, I am going to take myself in hand today with housework, exercising and drawing.
I have changed my boring morning exercise routine of the usual touching your toes business to dancing around like Nureyev with the frantic ballet music from Samson and Delilah, flying through the air (well not quite). Anything that leaves you puffed must be good. Still heartily sick of not meeting pals etc. I’m even fed up reading my favourite author.
Looking forward to reading your homely and otherwise, missals later.
Thinking of those with troubles.

Sparklefizz Wed 27-Jan-21 11:51:41

Welcome Granial ... whereabouts in the country are you?

Fingers x'd GG13 you get that last minute phone call for your jab. I wait every day for the post/phone/text but nothing as yet.

Sorry to hear about your migraine problems Ashcombe and hope you're feeling a bit better this morning. They can leave you wiped out, I know.

Hope you got on alright at the dentist Blossoming

Must go and sort out some lunch. May day seems regulated by my stomach smile

Stay safe, virtual hugs to any who feel sad and lonely. x
