All is forgiven! ??
Good morning everyone. Sorry I’m late, not very good night.
DH had his shit yesterday and went to bed early with a sore arm and headache. He then proceeded to fidgety et all night. Got up at 330 for a hot drink and eventually came back to bed. Naturally, I was worried and took ages to go back to sleep once I’d warmed him up and established it wasn’t serious.
Photo of new quilt. DGS has approved...
Nothing on again today - cleaning, some sewing, Spanish homework..thoughts and prayers go to the sorrowful, in pain, in difficulties and everyone on this kind thread. Stay safe. X
Grandmabatty, heaven forbid! I knew you weren't on the nortystep , bit did know you weren't posting.
Great news granfromafar!
Good morning Mick, grandMattie and all from cold, dry and wind free Anglesey. Relieved to find we are not obliged to discuss our ablutions.
Welcome to Zoe2020 and any other newbies.
Congratulations to granfromafar, hopefully won’t be too long before you can have a cuddle with that gorgeous baby.
Such good news about your friend’s granddaughter Marydoll, the power of prayer heh.
No sign of vaccinations in our corner of Anglesey, even the over eighties are still waiting. Hey ho, everything comes to those who wait..... or so they say.
Good wishes to all with aches and anxieties, hope life gets better soon.
Seven weeks until spring, daffodils, lambs, warmer days, traffic cones, vaccine.
Good things to come, hang in there.
A very good morning everyone from a lovely sunny ?north Wales where I’ve come out of hibernation and am full of the joys.....tra la?!
January was such an orrible month for me I just gave up inflicting my miserable little self on all you good peeps until I missed you all and the 1st of the month seemed a good time to do my Sinatra impression! I’ve now got loads of catching up to do - that’ll learn me?
I see that Mick has also absented himself for a while and hope all is ok ? although GM is a safe pair of hands - in lots of ways!
Hope those unwell or worried have a good day and everyone has some sunshine ☀️ x
Good morning from Durham. It’s cold and crisp here. DH’s health has gone downhill over the past 3 days and he has now has no strength in his lower legs. He has his ‘jab’ tonight and is anxious to make it - I’ll have to help him into the venue. His oral chemo pauses on Wednesday, so he wants to see if there’s any improvement after that - otherwise he will have to call his Clinic.
Tough times ahead, I know.
Hope others with heavy hearts and minds have a decent day. X
Good morning everyone, and thank you for opening Grandmattie. Love your black and white theme for your new quilt. (And your typo ??).
It may now be February, but we're still in the throes of bleak mid winter on the Angus coast, and the week's forecast doesn't make good reading either. So glad that there's good news of Marydoll's friend's GD. Fingers crossed now that all goes well on Friday. And congratulations Granfromafar on the birth of your grandson. I hope cuddles with the baby are not too far away. Something beautiful to look forward to!
Now off I pop to do I know not what. Staying warm and yearning for Spring are high on the list. Have a decent day everyone and special thoughts for the lonely in need of hugs. ☀️??
Georgesgran I'm so sorry your DH is so poorly. ???. And good to see you back Pantglas. ?
Morning all from S Lanarkshire, not much time to post today so just want to say what a relief to hear the good news about your friend’ granddaughter Marydoll, I’ll be so happy to pass it on to friends who are also remembering her.
Good wishes everyone x
Good morning from a grey S Wales, surprising as I expected it to be snowy white out there this morning but the snow has disappeared overnight.
GrandMattie I'm ? at your typo - blame it on autocorrect!
Are we allowed to ask after Mick and other absent friends as we would in RL? I do hope he's all right and will be back posting soon.
Another exciting day ahead - changing the bed, washing, steam cleaning the kitchen floor. Such joys.
I hope your friend's DGD's C section goes well Marydoll.
Best wishes to all who are unwell or have problems.
Popping back to say hurrah! Pantsglas is back!!!
George's gran I'm sorry to hear about your husband's health.
Good morning everyone from the Gower.
I haven't been able to read all you lovely peoploids doings yet, I think I'm in the land of the unwell ?. Everything from the shoulders up that is, probably a bit run down that's all ?
I did notice that you are back Pantglas, I'm glad you are full of the joys again.
Thinking of you Susan ?
? to all of you, take care and stay safe ❤️
Good Morning All x. White Rabbits.
Quite a cold start and now clouding over what was a bright blue sky to begin with which means that the temperature will have increased a notch---it needs to as well.
Throat feels a bit thick on one side this morning and I keep swallowing thinking something's there. I had a dollop of honey then my usual cup of tea as hot as I could bear it. Also smothered my crumpets with lemon curd. Will have a couple of paracetamol in a minute just to keep the wolf from the door.
Just got the bathroom and kitchen cleaned so that'll do for another week
Nearly time for 11's--coffee and marshmallows. I know how to live !
Good news coming from Marydoll's friend's GD which is uplifting when two lives are involved. All will be well x
More hairy moments on the farm Sheepandcattle with the " top-heavy" ewes but glad the emergency was averted. You've got to have eyes at the back of your head where animals are concerned, which is why I have every admiration/ respect for vets who rely on instinct as their patients can't shout out when things go wrong.
Those lovely home-made covers/quilts make me feel ashamed that I hadn't continued with my embroidery I used to do years ago when I bought " iron-on" patterns and would do plain pillow-cases and tablecloths. Now, I can't sit still for 5 minutes. A bit like a hyperactive child sometimes skipping from one thing to another.
Macaroni cheese today, easy and filling as well as nourishing. That'll keep the cold out.
Thankyou for opening shop GrandMattie I imagine Mick will come out of hiding soon, he can't stay away forever it's not allowed
Brother's Birthday this week and he'll be 78. He's done well considering he refused treatment ( radiotherapy) for prostate cancer a few years ago. He'd had the hormone therapy but said that was enough he'd take his chances.
Then the start of the GGC's Birthdays this month. They'll be forgetting who I am. Over a year since I've seen them.
I send thoughts to those who feel a bit down in the mouth or unwell and hope the lighter evenings improve matters slightly.
Stay warm and well everyone and I wish you a good day xx
I too am sorry to hear about your DH's health Georgesgran. I do hope stopping the chemo makes him feel better.
I felt quite enlightened reading about your brother Ellan.
Good to see you back Pantglas
Good afternoon from yet another wet grey day in Belgium, it seems to have been raining forever, certainly since October.
Garden is like a swamp high walls and lots of trees so quite damp anyway.
School walk this afternoon, only 20 minutes but seems longer in the rain.
Root canal treatment tomorrow morning at the Dentist, not looking forward to that one little bit.
Stay safe everyone.
Good morning everyone. A quick hello then I will go back and read all your posts, there are a lot this morning and I am late(again)!
Not much planned for today, OH is taking our bubble neighbour for her vaccination this afternoon, mine is tomorrow morning.
Stay safe all.
Good morning all from a cold, bright Lancashire. The weather is ‘crisp and dry’ but snow and ice warnings are in place for later. I decided to give myself a shake this morning and go out for a walk, instead of waiting until later. A lot of people come here for a walk and it can get quite crowded, which I find off putting. I put the big coat on but forget my hat. Distinctly chilly on the ears! Ready for a big bowl of porridge and a hot drink now, Mr. B has that in hand so I will relax and catch up on your posts.
Wishing you all a peaceful day and the strength to deal with any cares.
Marydoll good news and hopefully better news on Friday.
Pantglas good to see you posting again, we were worried!
Granfromafar congratulations!
Zoe2020 welcome its nice to meet you!
Mick I dont care what GNHQ says we are all thinking of you and hope to see you back soon.
To all missing posters especially the lady with the slim dog we are thinking of you!
Stay safe all.
White rabbits everyone from Sunnyside, northwest coast. No excuse for not taking a walk today, may even get on my bike.
A good nights sleep for a change, probably due to my son being here, nice company and the thought of little jobs achieved. Yesterday I washed my hair, big event at the mo. Sprayed the grey roots with brown spray, very good, but can’t believe how thin it is after a lifetime of very thick hair. Have a new fanged curler which takes 4 hours to charge, 4 hours! What’s the point of that, particularly if you are in a dash, which I’m not these days, as my waistline attests.
Neighbour’s drill whirring away, so springlike happenings.
Keep well, thoughts to Mick and anyone worried in this vale of tears.
Sorry to hear about MrGeorgesgran.
Welcome back Pantglas.
Good morning to all, and thanks for GrandMattie, for opening up.
I began this before noon, but knew it would be a long time until I actually pressed Post.
I had a sore hip over the weekend, but pain killers are keeping it mostly at bay.
It has been a changing the bed and laundry morning here, then a welcome coffee.
Such good news about Marydoll's friend's daughter, have I got that right? It reminded me of the beautiful story a few days ago, on TV, where a mum had been ill with Covid, and didn't meet her baby daughter for about 3 months.
Good to see Pantglas back. I have been very confused with all the 'talk' of missing friends and posters, who are, it seems, not to be mentioned.
Can someone explain, in words of one syllable, what on earth is going on. I don't understand. We are, mostly, a group of friends who support each other when in need. So, it is only a basic need to be aware of one another and when they go absent, we want to know the how and why. I will shut up now.
(That almost penultimate word almost matched granMattie's)
There are so may to mention, but now I have forgotten, please forgive me. My thoughts were with you as I read from the beginning. Indeed I believe in the power of prayer, and as I go through each one, you are in my heart.
Have a good day, one and all.
Good morning to you all and to Michael,
I have just returned from taking my dog into the forest. He wasn`t keen at all as he had to stomp through the thick snow with his short legs. But in the end we strolled for an hour through the snowy land. More snow is forecast. Minus 2 degrees now. Now I am going to eat some crumpets which I made yesterday. I can`t buy them here and when some of you wrote that they were looking forward to their crumpets, I got rather peckish for them.
I wish you all good health and no troubles. x
I have news of Mick. The lady on the dark side has had a message from Mick. He hopes to be in contact in a few days and thanks everyone for their good wishes.
Please don't ask for any more info. It's up to Mick to update us, if he wishes.
Thank you Marydoll
Thank you marydoll and a n other for the update and very best wishes to mick I hope he’s back with us soon
