I always get a skinny flat white except if it is very hot and then I get an iced coffee. Never never never drink ‘instant’.
I like Earl Grey tea but also don’t mind green tea. English breakfast at a pinch but it must be Twinings.

Do you have particular cups for particular drinks?
I've had to make my tea in my coffee mug, and it unsettled me a bit.

Twinings tea bags or Earl Grey. I ring the changes with ground coffee beans, but usually Colombian or Kenyan, made in a cafetière.

Dinahmo Tue 02-Feb-21 23:09:05

Loose green tea, never tea bags. Espresso after meals, large strong coffee made in a cafetiere mid morning. No instant in the house except for a small jar of instant espresso powder, essential for making Nigella's cappuccino pavlova.

I like a drink of bovril.

Hellogirl1 Tue 02-Feb-21 23:01:20

I like my tea very weak, no milk or sugar, and mostly buy plain old Tesco everyday teabags.
I only drink instant coffee, I like Nescafe, but mostly buy Tesco`s own brand. Birds is like drinking gravy, and I hate gravy!

Yorkshire tea is an acquired taste, I think.
Tetleys make a pretty strong brew, but it's not the same richness of Yorkshire. Lovely! I really want a cup now, and I'm too lazy to go and do it!

Coffee: double espresso

Tea:
Morning - Lady Grey
Afternoon - Lapsang Souchong
Evening - Redbush (not really tea, of course)
(I also keep in stock English Breakfast, Earl Grey, Rose Pouchong, Chai and Fortnum and Mason Royal Blend)

I tried Yorkshire tea when we were over in the uk just before the Plague. I found it a bit strong, it must be an acquired taste. They do sell it here in our local supermarket so a lot must love it. My mum was from Yorkshire and she always liked a strong tea with an Eccles cake.
Some of the fruit teas aren’t bad.

I use instant for every day ,its Percol espresso or Italian style .Taylors if I can be bothered making "real" coffee ,I keep my ground in the freezer .Black sugarless tea ,just whatevers on special offer in the supermarket though I have green tea and umpteen fruit teas in the cupboard.I'm quite fond of lemon and ginger with extra lemon in it .

MiniMoon Tue 02-Feb-21 20:53:25

Yorkshire tea, with Co-op 99 tea bags a close second.

I rarely drink coffee, so don't have a favourite.

HurdyGurdy Tue 02-Feb-21 20:41:53

I'm not over keen on coffee, but if I'm going to have one it will be cappuccino with a generous sprinkling of chocolate on it.

I only have Clipper Fairtrade everyday tea, and I've always got a few teabags with me to make sure I enjoy my tea wherever I am grin

rafichagran Tue 02-Feb-21 20:36:47

Yorkshire tea and illy coffee for me.

BlueBelle Tue 02-Feb-21 20:36:08

Instant coffee whatever’s on offer lately it’s been L’Or decaf don’t drink tea

Pittcity Tue 02-Feb-21 20:35:58

Pure Assam, strong with milk no sugar or Lift lemon tea with honey. I only drink coffee when out but prefer a mocha or chai tea latte.

MissAdventure Tue 02-Feb-21 20:34:59

Ooh yes!

Hetty58 Tue 02-Feb-21 20:33:11

Good strong Yorkshire tea and Gold Blend coffee - and plenty of both!

MissAdventure Tue 02-Feb-21 20:30:36

My mum drank mellow birds. smile
I've just remembered.

cornishpatsy Tue 02-Feb-21 20:03:26

I prefer instant coffee, Kenko rich. PG tips gold for tea.

Georgesgran Tue 02-Feb-21 19:54:45

I only ever liked a ‘coffee flavoured’ drink - if anyone can remember Mellow Birds? I’ve given up coffee at home but will have a one-shot latte when out.
Otherwise it’s Yorkshire tea for me - several cups a day!

AmberSpyglass Tue 02-Feb-21 19:47:24

If I drink coffee from Starbucks etc, it’s always iced. From a decent coffee shop, I’ll just get a good single origin pour over or a nitro cold brew in the summer. Tea wise, lapsang souchong all the way

muse Tue 02-Feb-21 18:54:34

Black Tea - Earl Grey Tea bags for my morning drink. Tried most makes over the years but buy Clipper regularly. Sometimes from Brew Tea Company
Tregothnan Earl Grey Tea Loose - as a special treat.
Husband drinks Builder's Tea (any strong blend on offer) At the moment it's Yorkshire Tea.

Black coffee - daily it is Nescafe Alta Rica
Couple of times a week we'll put the Stovetop Espresso Maker on and use Taylors of Harrogate Hot Lava Java Ground - 6 or High Voltage - 7

NanaandGrampy Tue 02-Feb-21 17:04:50

I swore after uni to never drink instant coffee again or out of a plastic cup :-)

I love Maragogipe, Kenyan Blue Mountain or Sumatran Mandheling ( great choice Tidyskate) !

I hate green tea of any description. I like Lapsang Souchong tea but if I'm having a biscuit good old Tetley is my cuppa of choice.

TrendyNannie6 Tue 02-Feb-21 16:58:48

Douwe Egbert caffeine free coffee, and tetley teabags every time

Susiewong65 Tue 02-Feb-21 16:53:44

Any tea and any coffee for me, as long as it’s wet and warm I’m happy!

tidyskatemum Tue 02-Feb-21 16:50:08

Sainsbury’s Sumatra Mandheling ground coffee, though never more than 2 cups a day. I don’t like instant, except from a flask when we’re out in the car, which is a bit weird. DH drinks Earl Grey from the Brew Tea company - proper tea leaves - but I’m more of a tea pleb and stick to builder’s strength PG Tips
