It looks like a typical upper class or academic sitting room to me. A branch of my family are academic very high achievers. Their homes are large and worth a lot of money but absolute tips inside, well to me anyway. Horrifically cluttered and untidy. They are lovely people and I’m very close to them but they just don’t care that they live in what I consider to be a mess.
