Some news about our H o S
RF family want their 1969 documentary to be taken off air. The Queen was talking in it about a governor that looked like a gorilla, in one little clip, of docu seen on twitter.

Queen doesn't want her various shares and their values in companies made public too embarrassing. And lobbied in the 70s to be made exempt from new law. She has millions in off shore accounts.

P Charles land owner lobbied to be exempt from new leaseholder legislation that would have allowed homeowners to buy the land their property sits on.

And when people from the Duchy die with no living relatives P Charles gets the money, with other landowners around the country money goes to the treasury

Then there is Andrew

The 20,000 Sandringham Estate gets millions in subsidies

Queen gets her Wendy house refurbished to her own specifications including a new thatched roof.

Meanwhile in other news a little boy stole a tin of soup because he was so hungry, never mind.

The one I would be worried about, were he my son or grandson, is Harry. I think he is very vulnerable mentally and to have a wife who seems to be intent on keeping away from his family is not a good thing in anybody’s book. She is estranged from her own family, fair enough but she should not be encouraging him to be estranged from his. Just me and you together doesn’t cut it.

Oh for goodness sake, I'm supposed to trawl back to check your previous posts? I quoted you. You could read the quote I referred to. You then decide to try a putdown.

No put down attempted. Just responding to what you said to me “and you know that because “. Enough already.

Enough already right back at you! I quoted the post of yours I was responding to. You then did a put down telling me to "note" the use of the word "think" that didn't appear in the quote I referred to. Why not admit "think" wasn't in the post I quoted and responded to? The omitting of "think" completely changes the sense but have it your way. Just remember if you respond to a post it's incumbent of you to trawl back to see if a word from an earlier post has now been omitted, fairs fair.

Just for clarification . Rosie refers to anyone who objects to the full on criticism of Meghan as “worshipping adorers”
Don’t include me in that please. I don’t know the woman, have never met her, and quite possibly would not like her if I did, I simply find many of the comments narrow minded and frankly catty. Such as “ she’s not an actress she’s a starlet “

And you might acknowledge that anyone who objects to the full on criticism of Catherine, the Queen or the entire RF etc is referred to as "worshipping adorers" when most of us are very far from that. Yes it was rather childish of me to throw that back in my comment, but it gets tedious to read if you object to any behaviour by M&H you are royal sycophants. I don't imagine there are many of us who have personal knowledge of either M&H or the RF. We all rely on what we read in various press outlets. It's disingenuous of you to pretend you haven't seen the counterpart in any posts.

And on the other side I doubt aides would brief the media without Wills consent His fingers are all over this.

To royalists complaining that Harry and Meghan are making money off the back of their royal status, what do they think the rest of the family have been doing all these years?

Time the lot of them went What a carry on Royalty what a crazy idea.

Calendargirl Fri 05-Mar-21 07:40:00

If she can break the RF, nothing is sacred

She won’t ‘break’ the RF. They have weathered more than this over the years.

Diana’s death and the Abdication to name but two.

Harry is only 6th in line, so out of the main picture, that’s apart from giving up his role.

If it were William and Catherine who had left, and giving interviews, now that would be a different kettle of fish.

Grany Fri 05-Mar-21 07:45:41

So it's tit for tat William is briefing media about Meghan and family. Time this whole lot of these work shy privalledged Royalty was abolished.

A poster said Kate was like a 1950’s housewife, that was bitchy ,

I agree

Grany Fri 05-Mar-21 07:53:04

Well she is isn't sheAnnie what work has she done apart from dressing up looking smart and going places. She hadn't visited a charity, she put her name to, in eight years! And in a zoom meeting someone mentioned this to her she said Oh it seems like yesterday haha. All work shy we deserve better.

tickingbird Fri 05-Mar-21 08:12:50

She does have 3 young children to bring up.

Grany Fri 05-Mar-21 08:40:35

She has a nanny.

tickingbird Fri 05-Mar-21 08:45:16

I should think so too. It wouldn’t be possible to carry out any engagements with three youngsters in tow!

Bridgeit Fri 05-Mar-21 08:52:49

What a loud of absolute toss some folks are posting on here.
I am amazed you have time to live your own lives, you must be spending hours and hours tracking down comments & snippets, which for the most part consists of ‘ he said ,she said’ !

Bridgeit Fri 05-Mar-21 08:53:42

Ohhps Tosh, not Toss , but either way

Anniebach Fri 05-Mar-21 09:00:37

Bridgeit you are no different, you are judging posters , what
do you know of their lives ?

Bridgeit Fri 05-Mar-21 09:02:42

Not Judging Annie, commenting & comparing.

Anniebach Fri 05-Mar-21 09:05:05

As am I Bridgeit when I post my opinions.

Bridgeit Fri 05-Mar-21 09:07:04

Sorry to say Annie ,some posts from some folks are word as if actual personal knowledge. We will have to beg to differ.

Anniebach Fri 05-Mar-21 09:13:59

Bridgeit you are amazed some have time to live their own lives, if a person is disabled , has no family, housebound ,can it not be they have little else to do but listen to the news to hear
what’s going on in the outside world.

Lexisgranny Fri 05-Mar-21 09:19:59

A while back Harry was talking about moving to South Africa and working with the underprivileged, I wonder what changed his mind?

Mollygo Fri 05-Mar-21 09:20:16

Bridgeit ?smile
It sometimes seems that Google and the Internet are responsible for proliferating more spiteful comments than even an all girls school managed.
Perhaps we ought to think of GN as a medical resource.
Being able to vent your feelings
is said to be good for your mental health.
Constantly using your brain to learn something new (even if it’s only so you can disagree with other posters) is said to improve your chances of not getting Alzheimer’s.
Being able to ask for help is good for your mental health.
Interacting pleasantly with ‘friends’ about pies, mealtimes, and hobbies or contributing to verses or word games, is good for your mental health and well-being.

Whether reiterating things angrily on here is bad for your blood pressure is another matter.

Bridgeit Fri 05-Mar-21 09:40:29

?Mollygo, I like your thinking , too late for my BP I’m afraid it’s been way too high for years!

Bridgeit Fri 05-Mar-21 09:47:45

Absolute,Annie, but I am referring to the nasty negative comments.

Ellianne Fri 05-Mar-21 18:13:08

It appears PP has now been taken back to the private hospital. Perhaps the menu is better there?
Seriously though, I'm guessing it's down to security detail.
Hope he recovers well and is able to walk out of the door soon.

foxie48 Fri 05-Mar-21 18:40:46

The best thing about "Royalty" is that I don't have to spend Christmas with them, the worst thing is the media thinks we are all interested in them. We are not but clearly looking at the number of posts on this thread, lots of people are. I am amazed, is it an age thing?

NellG Fri 05-Mar-21 18:54:00

No foxie48 it's a boredom thing. In the middle of a lockdown it's a more intriguing subject than thinking about Covid, death, illness, financial meltdown, missing family and friends and the general misery of current life. But thanks for asking, was that an ageist thing?
