Good Morning Wednesday

Good morning all. Heavy rain has stopped while I've been reading the previous posts and now it's brightening up here in my part of Derbyshire.

It's DH's vaccination today so I've got to take him for his appointment which has been precision planned for just after popmaster this morning. I'll drop him off and call at a couple of shops whilst he's in there. I was surprised yesterday to receive a text inviting me to book in for mine. I'm not at risk in any way so it seems that our area must be doing really well and are now on to vaccinating the under 65's, group 7. I've booked in for Thursday next week.

Hope everything goes well for Iris today.
300 lambs is a huge number Sheepandcattle. Good job you've got the cake and biscuits in! I hope it all goes well.

Good morning from North Yorkshire. It’s dull and grey today.
I had a lovely muddy walk at the arboretum yesterday. The snowdrops have survived the icy conditions and are beautiful. I came across this interesting tree too. The lakes were still frozen.
I hope all goes well for Iris and thoughts too for Georgesgran and her DH.

Good morning from a grey Essex by the sea.
I had the AZ jab yesterday morning and was fine til about 5'sh, then the side effects hit me. I ached all over, couldn't stop shivering then I was burning up. I took some paracetamol and feel a little better this morning. DH has had no effect from the same vaccine at all.
DD2 managed to get a prescription for Antibiotics sent by her Consultant in London. Hopefully they will get rid of the infection. She has to go and see him next Wednesday.
My thoughts are with Iris and GM today, a plucky little girl?.
I have no plans to do anything today except rest and feel better.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a soggy South Yorkshire. It’s cooler too. We didn’t get over to the butchers yesterday because the locksmith came to put a new lock on the garage door, so we’ll go today. Then we were hoping to spend some time in the garden; my roses haven’t been pruned yet, but it doesn’t look likely. Sheep it sounds like you’re gearing up to have your hands full any minute! Hope it goes well with all your ladies! If you need any help knitting the bootees let me know?!

Good morning everyone from a very sunny east coast of Fife where I heard torrents of rain throughput the night hope there’s been no flooding .

Good news is I had the Covid vaccine yesterday my fears of a big needle were unfounded and i didn’t feel a thing

I had a McDonald’s chicken burger and chips for brunch it was delicious.

I don’t have any side effects from the vaccine in fact I had a good sleep nail 5.45am . My gp came to the house herself I’ll never say a bad word about her ever again she was so reassuring. I’ve booked an optician appointment for Friday must pick up my hew glasses.

People from the agricultural dept in Fife were going around the doors yesterday looking for anyone with chickens as there has been an outbreak of bird flu many birds have had to be culled poor things.

Oops should read before I post

Good morning all from Luneburg. The snow is melting fast. I was surprised that so much green had sprouted underneath.
I try to keep myself occupied in these lock down times. As my dog refused to go out walking in the snow, I have been exercising on my exercise bike in the cellar. I find it rather boring. I am slowly wishing things would change soon. I am missing meeting face to face with friends and sister. But that`s how it is and no vaccination in sight in the near future.

Good morning all from a damp S Coast, grey with heavy drizzle and breezy. Failed to get up early enough to go to the farm shop, again, still, magnana. As I can’t abide clutter no sorting/tidying to do here, when it stops raining...when..I’ll sow some seeds in trays, but it’s an outside job before they come indoors.
DD is struggling over this half term with the DG’s, they’ve run out of local walks that are new and of course nothing is open. GD will be crafting, she’s making an assault course for her hamster. Good luck Iris today, she’ll smash it. Thoughts with Georgesgran and Auntieflo may they find strength each day to power on. And to all struggling, it’s a long haul for us all, some more than others, soon people, soon we’ll be less fettered.

Good morning Mick and all from West Sussex. It’s cloudy with more rain expected.

I seem to have made a mess in every room - piles of books, scribbled notes, cuttings, recipes. I must pretend to myself that friends or family are coming to stay to inspire me to tidy up. I operate best in panic mode!

That was good to read Ashcombe about AZ side effects being a bit less after the second jab, I hope it is the case, I too am not back to full energy.
Thinking especially today about Iris and everyone else on here needing support.
I was lifted last night by my granddaughter telling me she loved ‘sharing the joy of reading’ with me, it absolutely made my day.

This afternoon I am going to the funeral of a friend who died at 92; she was an only child and never married so there are no close relatives, so her village friends will be there to say goodbye.

Otherwise life continues to be tedious but easier for us than for many, I know. Just need something to look forward to!

Good morning all from a dreary, wet County Durham.

Yesterday DH and I had our vaccinations and I must say the whole experience was both stress free and caring. We attended a Nightingale hospital several miles away, so for us it was like a trip out after staying mostly within walking distance for the past few weeks (not even a supermarket shop). As the cemetery where my family are buried is not too far away we were able to collect the Christmas wreaths from the graves too. I was amazed to see how "healthy" they still looked.

Today will be taken at a slow pace as I am beginning to feel waves of tiredness and wondering if it's my imagination or an effect of the AZ.

Knitting has turned into my salvation over the past month and my family will not find themselves short of winter woolies later in the year. It's wonderful rediscovering a skill from the past and I'm finding I'm happily reminiscing times past when my mum would be sitting comfortably ensconced in her knitting chair. Each garment knitted with so much love which maybe wasn't appreciated as such at the time.

Fingers crossed some sun eventually emerges later today and I can begin to plan my Springtime garden.

Good morning all from a damp Northampton, but it is getting brighter. It rained here all day yesterday. Am up early showered and dressed as it is weekly tablet day, so I come down early, take the dratted tablet and then have my shower. So just sitting with a mug of tea and biscuits.

Nothing much on today, just finish off the Sainsbury's order, probably change the bed as well, and put the portions of leftover Bolognese in the freezer. Also put the bins out and clean the cats' litter tray. Then reading/knitting this afternoon.

Good morning all. It's a beautiful bright morning in Polmont. The tree across the street is waving to me and the bin has danced a little down the path so it's obviously windy. I had a disturbed night like some others. I don't get upset by these like I used to when working, I just get up a bit later. Yesterday was lovely babysitting. We went for a walk. I didn't take him to the swings as there were other bigger children there. I had forgotten it was a holiday. We toddled about and he had a very earnest baby conversation with a lovely neighbour of mine who was charmed by him. Fish pie for dinner and I have enough for tonight. I'll have to nip to Aldi for bread and milk and butter. Apart from that, nothing on the agenda. Dd wants to borrow my KitchenAid to make dgs birthday cake. He'll be two on Monday. Another nothing kind of day, not even a grocery delivery this week.
DH had another letter telling him he must shield until the end of March.
No chance of a lie in this morning, two scam phone calls, messenger message and a road sweeper going up and down under my bedroom window.

Good morning, Mick, I do hope you have a steady recovery , and Hello to everyone.
It's bright on the Cumbrian coast but showers are probably due. Today a little housework and then I hope to feel up to a gentle tidy up in the garden, weather permitting. There's always plenty to do to occupy my mind but I like to be out and about. I daren't drive out into the Lakes to admire the scenery and have a stroll. We have enough covidiots causing problems here, witness the dreadful accident to the Patterdale Mountain Rescue team member.
Hopefully, I will be able to travel south to see the family this summer. Meanwhile, as good a day as possible to all.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where it is a positively balmy 6°C. Spring is in the air.
The DGC are going back to school/nursery next week which is a relief for them and their parents. They are very rural and see nobody except the postie.
5yr old DGD wrote in her news that they were having qangaix for tea so we, family members, sent photos of our pancakes. Not quite the same thing as being together but better than nothing.

Shh Ashcombe I had the Pfizer vaccine with no ill effects !

I enjoy my knitting Annapops though I miss the yarn group when we met up each week for a really good blether.

Good morning everyone from south Manchester where it’s dry (at present) and mild. We are meeting our daughter in the park - taking coffees - to have small meet & greet with grandchildren on their bikes.

After that it’s my jab at noon. Fancy as you said Beechnut about our birthdays & then jabs being a day apart! I tried to p.m. you last night without success. Problems still it seems.

Best wishes for Iris today granMattie and special thoughts to all with struggles and worries in the difficult times. I think most of us have had enough of all this now. It’s not good for our mental health and well being. Thinking too of you amselerin with no signs yet of a vaccination rollout of any great shakes in Europe. Friends in Malaga (over 80y) say ‘nada’.
