For some it is snakes, for some it is rats, some mice. I don’t mind any of these and I used to have pet mice as a child. For me it is
Cockroaches and leeches. Yucky, yucky, things. Not keen on spiders ,either, because some of the here are very poisonous.

Slugs!
Are you in Australia nanna8 ?

nanna8 Wed 17-Feb-21 10:26:18

Yes , I hate slugs too. There was a big horrible one in the garden earlier.

tanith Wed 17-Feb-21 10:28:19

Slugs snakes and worms ? do you see a theme there? ?

Gwenisgreat1 Wed 17-Feb-21 10:33:51

Spiders and ants, earwigs and slaters - yeuch!

Jaxjacky Wed 17-Feb-21 10:35:23

Slugs here too and moths, I’m convinced they fly at me, butterflies don’t.

Jaxjacky Wed 17-Feb-21 10:36:17

Oh and m*gg**s, can’t even type it...the worst.

muse Wed 17-Feb-21 10:50:08

Jaxjacky` I can't look at m*gg**s. Turns my stomach thinking of them.

Horseflies. Ticks, Slugs, Moths

Septimia Wed 17-Feb-21 10:57:09

Can't abide snakes, can't even look at pictures of them although I've managed to cope when meeting them in the wild.

I dislike, to a greater or lesser extent, anything longish that wriggles.

timetogo2016 Wed 17-Feb-21 10:58:11

Hate spiders/moths/slugs/mice/rats/maggots/and covid.

Witzend Wed 17-Feb-21 11:01:59

Cockroaches. Not that I’ve ever seen them in the U.K.* but we always had whoppers when living abroad - never managed to get rid of them.

*Though when I was working as cabin crew one did once hitch a lift from West Africa to the U.K. in my uniform handbag! ?

libra10 Wed 17-Feb-21 11:09:43

Frogs! i hate the evil-eyed, leapy little creatures!

Greyduster Wed 17-Feb-21 11:11:06

Like Witzend, it has to be cockroaches. They were the bane of our lives in the Far East. Huge! We once hired car to drive to a remote beach in Malaya for a day out, and as soon as we put the air con on, two came up through the air vents behind where I was sitting in the back. Brakes were slammed on so that I could leap out and scream a lot? while DH tried to evict them! Never seen any since thank goodness.

timetogo2016 Wed 17-Feb-21 11:12:38

OOOh i forgot about cockroaches Witzend.
I saw a massive one on the stairs at the swimming baths some time ago in Sutton Coldfield West Mid`s.
Didn`t realise i could run so fast.

Shrub Wed 17-Feb-21 11:15:37

Slugs and snails. I know we need them both but not in my small garden!

Grandma70s Wed 17-Feb-21 11:18:30

I positively like spiders, unless they are poisonous. Interesting creatures. I don’t see the problem with moths. Some of them are beautiful.

Slugs - nobody could love a slug, poor things. They can’t help being the way they are.

What’s a slater? Is it the same as a woodlouse? I don’t really mind them.

All creatures are interesting in some way, it’s just that we prefer furry ones to slimy ones.

Grandma70s Wed 17-Feb-21 11:21:42

Don’t hate frogs, libra10. Sometimes they turn into princes.

BlueBelle Wed 17-Feb-21 11:26:45

Love snakes admire rats, love frogs and toads but totally agree about slugs and wriggly maggots don’t like earwigs but can’t say I ve seen any for a long time

GrannyGravy13 Wed 17-Feb-21 11:27:16

nanna8 my first trip to Australia cured my fear of spiders.?

I cannot abide Cockroach’s it’s not just a fear but bordering on a phobia.?

I do not like maggots but will deal with them if they appear in the bin over the summer months.?

As for slugs, they are just homeless snails ?

EkwaNimitee Wed 17-Feb-21 11:31:16

It’s slugs and snails with me too and I am another who can’t even look at a picture of them. Rats too and, Jaxjacky, also the m word. Sickening but I rarely come across them. Spiders I love but they scare my Australian DiL and no wonder.

grandmajet Wed 17-Feb-21 11:47:04

Spiders. Can’t help it, they are horrible and run at me.
I’m not keen on aggressive shouty people either!

Blossoming Wed 17-Feb-21 12:04:10

Wasps. I have an allergy.

LauraNorder Wed 17-Feb-21 12:18:52

Rats and mice, it’s the long tail and bony little back, yuk, gives me the heebie geebies just thinking about them.
No idea how to spell heebie geebies but geebies auto corrected to gerbils, another bony backed little creature I dislike.

sodapop Wed 17-Feb-21 12:43:12

Some humans !
