Happy birthday - almost too late - to Fennel and GrannySomerset. Glad you avoided being leap year babies. My oldest nephew was born 49 years ago, minutes before Feb 29th.
For the first time this year, I was able to get washing out on the line. The thermometer at the back door was registering 20+, but it's in a sun-trap, mounted on a nice warm brick wall.
soop, I hope that Fern has decided to return for her fine dining. Perhaps she has met a randy tomcat. In which case, await results.

After a sweltering session in the polytunnel (30°) getting strawberries laid out for planting and then tackling the last compost bin, I decided to put my feet up for 1/2 hour before Mya's afternoon walk.

Possible grass cut tomorrow. MrM tells me his finished the adaption to the fire for the new house. That means the company can come back to refit it. One more job from the list of 32 jobs to do before the house is finished.

Monday looks like being another sunny day in Cornwall.

Happy greetings from sun-soaked Kintyre. Fern returned at 8:45 last night. She came into the utility room and polished off a hearty supper. She then retired to her "apartment", and has breakfast and lunch before strolling off into the beautiful woodland.

Right! Belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY greetings to some special peoples. Fennel and GrannySomerset. Wouldn't it have been fun if we have all crammed into a real kitchen to celebrate in style. Real cake. Real bubbly. Real hugs.

On a day like today, I can well imagine that us lot will have family reunions in store, certainly before the summer is out.

Mr Soop was told some time ago that he was mis-sold PPI. We received a cheque for just over £1000. He has fretted non stop ever since. He believes that there has been a mistake. He is determined to give the money back. Yet again, he's been on the phone to ask how this can be arranged. I am utterly confused. Why on earth would a bank reimburse anyone without determining that the facts are correct?

Its been a nothing sort of day here marked only by my first trip inside a supermarket in 5 months . It was a non event :-( I forgot half of the things I wanted BUT I did remember the fresh jam doughnuts.

I am away for today. The sea is mirror-like. The sky is almost cloudless. The Cormorants are having themselves a diving party. A lovely scene with which to say farewell until tomorrow.

What a glorious day, birthday too, been for a walk, had five doorstep deliveries and flowers in every room, ran out of vases, used a litre beer glass! Indian ordered for delivery later. As a WASPI I’m poised for my pension to hit the bank account, mentally spent already, I hope you’ve all had a good day too. My daughter has I’m sure been accruing child sitting points, first one booked in for August, all good. Having a ? to celebrate, cheers all.

N&G Fern returned mid evening yesterday. She ate a hearty supper in the utility room. She slept in her apartment. She has enjoyed both breakfast and lunch. We anticipate that she'll return for her supper within an hour or so. Oh, the relief when Mr Soop casually informed me that "we have a black cat".

Actually I was telling a lie! My real birthday is the 29th. So last year I was only 21.
NanaandGrampy - I went into big Tesco this pm too Lots of families shopping together. Daughter in Berkshire says only one person in the family is allowed into their Tesco. Others have to wait outside.

Stunning photos again Soop and good news about your wandering cat! Today has been a lovely day. The weather was very spring like. I spent the morning in the garden tidying up and cleaning. Dd appeared with dgs in the afternoon and we went for a walk and he played in the garden. Then my aunt and uncle appeared with a gift for dd as it's her birthday tomorrow so we had a garden catch up. Not long after they left, dsil arrived as he had been on a course. It is nice to speak to people as I live alone and the year has been a hard one. Tonight I've had pasta Bolognaise and salad for dinner and I'm lazing on the couch. Have a good evening all.

Thank you all for your kind wishes. We’ve had as good a day as we can in covid-land. Brunch was so filling we’ve not got to our ‘tea’ yet, will in about an hour, bubbly in the fridge and cake stand at the ready.

Blood test was interesting, it’s for a research study, good to get background and understand more about it. Didn’t feel it at all, even better . It’s a wonder I could hear the nurse, my tummy was busy asking (shouting) for food.

I knew Fern would be back soop, she’s looked after so well. Windows are the bane of our lives here, it seems no sooner are they clean than down comes more sandy rain and we’re looking out through a mist again.

Those daffodils are spectacular grannyg. Bought some for Mr C to celebrate his Welsh heritage, trouble is they are still buds. Oops.

I’m being told it’s time to prepare our food, best do as I’m told, as you all know I always do .

We’ve had a lovely, warm sunny day here in Manchester. I’ve been out walking with my friend. I’m going to settle down to watch ‘Unforgotten’ at 9pm this evening. I don’t watch much tv - probably about 4 programmes a week. I was always rubbish in the canteen at work as I never knew what my colleagues were chatting about!

Glad your little black cat turned up again soop. You’d be very upset if she stopped calling in for pit stops now!
