Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark, but its gradually brightening up also dry and cold out there , I also look out of my window and see daffodils growing.
Today , a double dose of cycling on Eurosport plus for a change I have decided to have a fried breakfast for a change today, and tomorrow.
Hopefully my brother will pick me up so I can have my first jab today .
Compared to 3 weeks ago , I am beginning to feel more myself .
Take Care,
Mick

Good Morning all. A sharp frost but beautiful blue sky here in N. Bucks.
Wattsapp calls from my 3 DDs yesterday. We are all so looking forward to being able to meet in the garden by April. Hopefully one at a time after next week for a walk.
Local food shop this morning and a walk along the riverbank.
Feeling brighter this morning so will also make a list of jobs to be done in the garden over the next few weeks.
Hoping you all find a ? today.

Good morning from North Yorkshire. Alexa tells me it is 7degrees here.
Busy day yesterday in the garden cutting a shrub down and mowing the lawn. A kind neighbour let me borrow his green bin.
I also booked my jab for 2 weeks time in a nearby town. My GP is now doing second jabs for the over 90s so can’t offer mine even though I am 65.
Bluesapphire sending you flowers for today.
Hope everyone has a good day. Stay safe.

Good morning from Durham.

A brief update to those GN’s who have PMd me and others keeping us in their thoughts.

DH is bedbound now. He is sleeping and not eating. I’ve discovered we have an amazing GP who has (long story) stepped in and sorted out so many issues.

Just a matter of time now.

ginny Sat 27-Feb-21 08:07:54

Sorry for the two posts, not sure why that happened.?

In my thoughts Georgesgran ?

harrigran Sat 27-Feb-21 08:11:50

Good morning from a sunny NE where it is 4 degrees.
Someone is talking loudly under my bedroom window, looked out and two neighbours are standing about 6 inches apart without masks. One is a demolition man who drives the works van of employees to jobs and the other is an ambulance driver, wouldn't you think they would know better ?
Long telephone conversation with my sister yesterday afternoon, bit one sided really as she is the only one who goes out and visits other people.
Watched the whole series of The Bay yesterday, I am becoming a couch potato.
The moon was brilliant last night, wonderful to look at.
Enjoy the weekend.

Sending flowers Georgesgran and the assurance you are in my thoughts.

Good Morning everyone, cold and frosty here but another beautiful day we hope, not much happening here today, as I cleaned through yesterday, just a stack of ironing to plough through.
DH is taking DD for her Covid test at the hospital car park this morning and then she has to start the special shower wash and a nasal cream, all new to me, but to do with MRSA I think.
Mick so pleased you are feeling a bit more like yourself, any health problem seems to take longer to bounce back from these days doesn’t it.
So sorry georgesgran thinking of you today and all of those with issues.

Grandmabatty Sat 27-Feb-21 08:22:02

Good morning all. 6° in Polmont with grey skies but we appear to have lost the winds. Georgesgran? you are being very stoic. I hope someone is looking after you. *Blue sapphire*? for you too.
Saturday is my housework day so I'll get that sorted later. Shortly I have to visit Aldi for a shop. My fridge is bare. I'm in awe of you busy people. Not because you're busy but your energy! Scentia you're a whirlwind!
Yesterday's highlight was a trip to the chiropodist. Then later a gift arrived for my dd as it's her birthday soon. Then the window cleaner arrived. It was all go. The zoom game it transpires, is next Friday so I still have that to look forward to. Another pottering day beckons. Have a good day all.

kittylester Sat 27-Feb-21 08:23:22

Good morning Mick, morning all from South Lanarkshire. The sun is shining brightly again, it does wonders for my mood.

Good to hear that you’re feeling better Mick and that it’s vaccine day for you.
Gagagran the moon was glorious last night, I didn’t know it was a snow moon, I’ll have to look that up.

Enjoy your coffee with your
DD Bellas nana, I’m so looking forward to when I can do the same.

More garden tidying and walking for me, DH will be glued to the rugby on TV later. I’ll make chicken curry for dinner whilst listening to my audiobook.

Georgesgran thanks

Wishing everyone a peaceful Saturday.

grandMattie Sat 27-Feb-21 08:24:56

?and prayers to you both Georgesgran. Hope your DH remains comfortable. ❤️

Urmstongran Sat 27-Feb-21 08:30:26

Such a poignant post Georgesgran the beginning of the end and heartbreaking for you. I’m glad your GP is so supportive.

Good morning Michael and all GNs. A cold bright start in South Yorkshire - a heavy frost last night. The moon was superb but I was too lazy to get my camera out. We managed a spell in the garden yesterday afternoon as it was, dare I say it, warm in the sun! I wish I hadn’t done so much because it’s too early to be clearing dead foliage away - you sort of get carried away in the moment. Today I have three fish pies to finish off, a sausage casserole to make for supper, and a curry to make for tomorrow, so I will be chained to the kitchen while DH watches the rugby.
Georgesgran, sending you a hug?.
Have the best day you can, folks.

Dwmxwg Sat 27-Feb-21 08:35:15

Georgesgran thank you for keeping us posted on how things are. Have been keeping you both in my thoughts. Glad to hear you have a decent GP and that you DH is comfortable. Keep on keeping on ?

Jaxjacky Sat 27-Feb-21 08:44:43

Georgesgran thoughts with you both, take care of yourself too ?

Good morning all from Glasgow, where it promises to be a pleasant day. I really have to stop watching those Chinese soap operas, set hundreds of years ago in China! ? My rather weird dreams ran along the same lines! I'm blaming shielding for my rather bizarre choice of viewing! ?

After watching, A taste of Italy, ( Bellanonna, take note!) I'm going to try and replicate the bread I saw the presenter taste in the beautiful hilltop town of Orvietto. It translates as, snail bread and includes pancetta and pecorini cheese. We visited there years ago, but I think we may have missed lots, due to the torrential rain!
Improvisation will be the key, as Tesco failed to deliver the pancetta yesterday. Thank goodness, I have some smoked streaky bacon in the fridge, despite a fry up, not being recommended for heart patients! ?
Mick, better not mention your fries ups at your cardiac appointment. The cardiac, rehabiltation nurse I saw was a bit of a nippy sweetie, to say the least! So different from my lovely, rheumatology specialist nurse. I am blessed there!

She conceded that I did not need to see the dietitian as low chlorestoral and healthy arteries indicated I had a very healthy diet, my RA was to blame for my problems. I did omit to mention the tablet and macaroon making. ?

I have a large pot of Scotch broth on the go, as DD and SIL are coming to work in the garden, whilst I direct! We have heavy planters which need moving and that's a no no now for me.
I also made DDs favourite coconut cakes yesterday, as a treat, so you can see I have been busy.
However, later on I paid the price I was forced to lie down for a while and watch, Escape to the Country, as my heart rate was through the roof! ☹ I never learn!!!!
By the way, how many young couples have £1,500,000 to buy a house? I had a serious case of kitchen envy! ?

I love hearing all your news and seeing your photos. I try to imagine where you all live.

Many of my virtual friends are carrying such heavy burdens, but never complain. I'm always afraid I upset someone, by missing them out.
Georgesgran I cannot find the right words of comfort, I'm useless at that kind of thing, but I pray that you and your family find the strength and peace to cope with the coming days.

For my dear friend, NanKate and Bluesapphire ? Dragonfly hasn't been about either. ?

Have the best day you can all. Mick, good luck with your jab. Its probably a good idea for your brother to accompany you.

NannyJan53 Sat 27-Feb-21 08:46:21

Good morning from a very sunny Black Country.

Had a lovely walk with a friend to the park yesterday, when I realised I didn't really need my coat. Spring has indeed sprung (for now)!

Will probably get in the garden today and make a start on tidying etc. It is already warm on our back patio.

DD says SIL was offered a jab for this coming week, he is only 47! It must be because of his health problems he had just over a year ago.

Not the best way to lose weight NanKate and I really hope the Consultant help you back to full health flowers

Georgesgran you are both in my thoughts, sending my love and hugs to you flowers

Wishing you all the best day possible

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Sunny 6°C Springlike but I must not be tempted to plant anything. Birds are making a racket on the roof.
So glad you are feeling better Mick and getting your vaccine today.
Now I have started the car, I am seeing forming a bubble with DS today. I spent Christmas with DD's family but I haven't seen them since. DGD has grown 3 shoe sizes since she was last at school.
I wonder if they will notice changes in me!! Good thing I'll be wearing the same clothes.grin

Good morning from sunny Colchester. There was frost on the cars first thing.
I had trouble getting on to GN so I have DS's uniform on the line and another load in the machine.
DS was going to surprise us with an unexpected weekend visit home, but he had a tyre blowout on the motorway and had to ring DH for help. All was eventually OK but we now need to make a claim for pothole damage.
No plans as usual.
Hugs for all, especially Georgesgran x
