I was saddened yesterday listening to the list of women who had been killed by men in Parliament yesterday. My heart goes out to their families.
Then we have to listen to the protestations of a couple (and before anyone jumps in and says you don't have to listen, it's unavoidable as it's on every channel almost all day long) who delight in chasing fame throwing aspersions on people of being racist without providing any proof whatsoever, why I wonder won't they name the person who allegedly discussed the colour of Archie's skin.
I have just been blessed with a grandaughter and we have all discussed whether she will have blue eyes or brown eyes or sensitive skin like her fathers's family, it's what families do.
Perhaps the people who support this couple should stand back and look at a more frightening and immediate dilemna staring us in the face; the domestic abuse of women in our society.
Ah dear - why does getting older equate to dimished brain power?
