A few weeks ago a friend became a grandmother for the first time. She’s besotted and forwards all the photos, videos etc.
It’s Ok, though I am a bit running out of things to say in reply and I confess to a sigh when the phone bongs again. She gets upset if I don’t respond and will text again or has even phoned to see if I’ve got the latest.

But now I have on my phone a mounted studio type photograph. Very nice.

Apparently I can purchase this for £25.?

.I think I should have put this in AIBU.

Yes you’re right Janejudge. I hadn’t really thought if it from her point of view and lockdown.

Probably if I could actually go and see the baby she would feel I’d had my treat. Got a real look in.

yes smile I think people have become exaggerated versions of themselves. At least she means no harm. of people seem so angry atm confused so at least this is just paranoid baby photo bombing grin grin

Two of my best friends have just become grannies for the first time. I share their pride and joy but they don’t overwhelm me with pictures.
I’ve been a granny for nearly 25 years so it’s nice to see baby pictures again while I wait to become a great granny.

I’d go with the lack of phone storage excuse. Ignore the next few that come and when she queries it say you’re sorry but but you’re not able to receive any more as your phone is full to capacity.
