My goodness, I didn’t realise I was opening such a can of worms.
I expect someone will say they hate ‘can of worms’ now!
As someone previously posted, we’d better not all meet as we’d be scared to speak for fear of annoying someone!

I’ll probably offend a lot of people with this one, because I know it’s very widely used, but I cannot stand nanny/nan/ nana used for grandmother. It really makes me cringe.

Gobsmacked and afters instead of dessert!

Not a word as such (though the word ‘pod’ sets my teeth on edge for no reason I can think of) but I can’t bear people shortening a plural to a singular, as in a dark tight, a full pant, a navy trouser, etc. Just makes me want to shout it’s TIGHTS or whatever! My mum does it all the time, grrrr....!

Most euphemisms make me shudder, like ‘pass (away)’ instead of die. Also ‘toilet’, although that is almost universal now so I’ve got used to it, though I would never say it.

I’m sure there are lots more, but my brain isn’t working.

My mother insisted we say lavatory and considered the word toilet to be a bit 'common'. I tend to say loo and still toilet grates on me. Also living room or lounge instead of sitting room, settee instead of sofa, sweet or dessert instead of pudding. My children think I'm ridiculous but these were all so instilled in me in childhood. I was a nurse and I could never stand the word phlegm which patients often used instead of sputum. It's the most horrible word imaginable. I think I have a degree of synasthesia so can picture some words making them more offensive. Very weird.

I agree with several of the above but the word I hate most is 'anglepoise' and I have no idea why.

The phrase “we’re getting there” - always feel like asking for the destination and unfortunately I have a friend who uses it a lot.

I can't stand the word Knackered. I was always told it was a swear word when I was young, so I've never said it or allowed my children to use it, but it seems to be used everywhere now.
I also hate Movie instead of film.
Sports commentators are now using the word 'Physicality' a lot, makes me cringe! in one feature they said it 14 times in 45 mins (makes me look sad counting it)

I hate the way people don't give birth any more, they "welcome" a baby. It makes it sound like a surprise somehow.

Oh Dear! - I say "hubby" all the time! I must stop, if it causes such universal condemnation. I will now say "My husband and I" and hope no-one thinks I'm trying to "ape" Her Majesty!

I agree with "gob" - definitely not a nice word. Not fond of "Chrimbo" either.
