Sorry, just to apologise for my typo at the end of the last thread.

As you were, please feel free to continue

Apparently Meghan and Harry had a lot of control over the content of the interview and even the ads in the breaks. If that is the case it would help if they could put pressure on CBS to withdraw the misleading and doctored headlines as ITV have done.

Regarding the numerous emails, I remember reading early on that Meghan used to regularly fire them off at 5am to her aides which wasn't really the done thing. Maybe some people chose to not answer them at that ungodly hour or until later in the day, not hitting the ground running as she expected. Surely she isn't going to produce copies of every single email?

Anniebach Tue 16-Mar-21 20:53:04

I doubt there is no low she wouldn’t stoop to

NellG Tue 16-Mar-21 20:57:46

Ellianne Would we be surprised if she did?

Summerlove Tue 16-Mar-21 21:03:26

I don’t understand the issue with emailing at 5am.

Unless of course a response was demanded immediately?

I can’t be the only one who has received (and sent) emails at that time?

Ellianne Tue 16-Mar-21 21:10:26

I believe she was called "Hurricane Meghan" by staff because she bombarded them with emails and texts daily starting at 5am. Some of the requests were said to be surprising.

It’s poor business etiquette Summerlove, a form of control. If sending emails which are non urgent out of hours you should write them offline, and send them at a reasonable hour.

I don’t think it’s problematic to send emails at any hour, but it becomes problematic if the boss requires an answer outside of working hours.

Callistemon Tue 16-Mar-21 22:57:02

Yes, surely the employee is allowed to log off out of working hours? It's a different matter if the boss is demanding immediate answers at 5 am.

Apart from anything else I find it so hypocritical that these conversations are relayed to the media but Meghan has disowned her father for doing the same. I think I once posted at the beginning of the Meghan and her Dad saga that she wouldn’t be able to trust her Dad not to pass on any conversations or letters to the media so she’d be loathe to make contact. Here she is (with Harry) doing the same, but without the exact content. After veiled threats via her pals of saved emails etc it’s not conducive to mending fences is it?

The Markle appears to have a set of rules for herself and another for the rest of the world. She has no intention of mending fences with anyone because she's always right and anyone who says otherwise can be dismissed as 'racist'.

We have obviously had different work experiences.

This is very normal to me. Emails get sent when thoughts happen.

You respond when you get to it

Therein lies the problem. Maybe the response time wasn’t as quick as Meghan expected it to be.

Harry didn’t like his old life and after a while, I doubt he’ll like his new one. I just hope the marriage lasts for his sake.

I heard a Royal Correspondent on tv a few days ago saying Harry could be fiery and that he didn’t like rising early and used to ask his office to arrange his engagements for the afternoon.

Wonder how that works when your wife’s up at the crack of dawn?!

Anniebach Wed 17-Mar-21 08:53:43

What I see in Harry is a spoilt brat. For years it’s been ‘Harry is
such fun, not serious like his father and brother’ .

Now it’s‘Harry has changed , he must have mental health problems, he is still grieving’.

For the first time in his life Harry has been told ‘no’. This is what up with Harry.

......MICHELLE Obama appeared to issue a thinly-veiled dig at Meghan Markle when she said "public service is about the people" – and not individuals.

The former first lady issued the statement when she was asked about Meghan's bombshell statements about the British Royal Family on Tuesday morning.

I have avoided reading or hearing about M in the news, so I didn’t know that, but maybe any publicity is better than no publicity.

NellG Wed 17-Mar-21 10:04:21

Anniebach I love that last line!

lemsip Not sure MM would get that message, even if she got the memo.

Urmstongran Wed 17-Mar-21 10:08:18

Very astute post Anniebach.

Quite!

Michelle Obama also said this:

Michelle Obama says it wasn’t ‘a complete surprise’ to hear Meghan Markle’s claims of racism in the royal family

So another allegation.....and no names. So easy isn’t it?

Send reinforcements, we’re going to advance
Send three’n four pence, we’re going to a dance.

Harry is now between a rock and a hard place.

NellG Wed 17-Mar-21 10:32:49

Having watched it it sounded like less of a remark that the RF is racist and more an observation that the world is racist, and that she felt the RF had an opportunity to deal with it in a way that could be an example.

Spot on and that's why they can't be seen to lose face.

Michelle Obama's comment was the first indication that maybe some of their supporters are beginning to see the light.
