Michelle Obama chose her words and intonation of them very carefully, she is a wise woman who I’m sure see both sides and isn’t taking either.

They will stay together for now because there is a new baby coming. Five years down the track, who knows? Not really an unusual situation these days and probably the queen will have gone by then.

Michelle Obamas quote can be read different ways.
Is she not surprised that there is racism in the royal family
Or that she is not surprised that Meghan has said that.

Ummm not sure that it’s the first time in his life he has been told ‘ no ‘
Loosing a parent is a very harsh reality that ‘No , no matter what ,sadly So sadly you won’t see them again.

I do wonder what Megans ultimate aim is. Her own father gave an interview to the press and now she has done the same with Oprah, to broadcast for the whole world to watch. In my book that is hypocritical.

Anniebach Wed 17-Mar-21 11:52:00

Bridgeit I know the harsh reality of losing a parent, my husband was killed when our daughters were 5 and 7, there was no need for me to say no, just why.

Their father was killed when his car was rammed so he was i suppose murdered.

There are many, many children who sadly lose a parent , this can not be used for the rest of their lives to expect life to give them all they ask for,

The Queen seems to be a steadying hand, Harry says he is in touch with his grandmother.

How do we know that what Harry says is true?

Anniebach Wed 17-Mar-21 12:07:03

We don’t maddyone sadly if he said rain was wet I would check in the next downpour

lemsip Wed 17-Mar-21 12:13:56

when Harry opens his mouth Meghan's words come out

In response to the original question, I have changed my mind about them. I liked her at first, although it didn't take long to realise there isn't a genuine bone in her body; I thought she would turn in a good performance as royalty, know the lines, be on cue, always presentable. The flight abroad was a surprise but possibly part of a long term plan, carefully manipulated.

Since that interview, not watched but impossible to avoid, my belief in MM as arch plotter has changed. The programme was carefully scripted and the much-hyped Winfrey is laughing all the way to the bank for her complaisant performance, but the interview was full of anomalies and inconsistencies that any half-decent interviewer would have challenged. MM's inadequacies in rising to her challenge were exposed and the 'misinformation' about bestowal of titles, the role of HR, and security showed sloppy preparation. MM is riding high at the moment and believes herself to be untouchable.
I do not think so.
She is proving to be not nearly as smart as many of us believed. Her dupe of a husband is browbeating his family for money, accusations of racism are made, private conversations are discussed with best-friend-tv -presenter, and threats of releasing emails etc are welcomed by ex-staff who are lining up to give their accounts of bullying which weren't addressed at the time, all to protect Meghan.

All this against the background of a covid-damaged world. and on a personal level, the health of Prince Philip.

Bridgeit Wed 17-Mar-21 12:22:37

Yes I do understand Anniebach,
But neither should folks who ever they maybe ,be constantly slated , misinterpreted without any recourse to refuting untruths.
As the song goes’ we are only human after all ‘

NellG Wed 17-Mar-21 12:31:53

Like the rest of RF then Bridgeit - they too are human and H&M are doing a very good job of shutting down their right of reply by taking bits and drabs that may have been said and done and putting them in the spotlight.

Bridgeit Wed 17-Mar-21 12:33:55

Families aye, I’m sure we’ve all been there at times.

Bridgeit Wed 17-Mar-21 12:37:31

One of my sisters, insists her memory of an incident is correct, I am certain that mine is, thankfully no one is reporting on my
Particular - he said , she said etc- best wishes to all - now is too early for a light liquid refreshment ??

Anniebach Wed 17-Mar-21 12:47:18

Truth, Harry and William, Harry and Charles spoke on telephone, Harry or Meg released this information, no interpretation

Bridgeit Wed 17-Mar-21 13:00:01

We will never know Annie, not sure how sure you can be about the source of your information. But if your happy with it thats fine.
All the best to you.

I’ve tried to keep an open mind and I still don’t know quite what to believe but the behaviour of Meghan and Harry most recently is at the least, tittle tattle. It’s beginning to look that this pair of recent royals are just vindictive. I don’t think that the rest of the RF, at this moment in time should try to build bridges. When an individual is intent on causing hurt it’s sometimes best not to retaliate and maintain a dignified silence.

lemsip Wed 17-Mar-21 13:21:35

here is from Gayle King s mouth. The source.

I think there is an old saying which I may have posted before, goes something like this:

A son is a son until he takes a wife, But a daughter is a daughter for life.

Christalbee Wed 17-Mar-21 13:25:46

yes, dislike them even more than I did before. Dispicable couple!!

Anniebach Wed 17-Mar-21 13:28:46

Bridgeit I think it’s fair to assume if the tv anchor woman,
friend of Megan wasn’t speaking the truth Megan would sue her

Galaxy Wed 17-Mar-21 13:29:11

Yes that's a hideous old saying. I wince every time I see it.

Smileless2012 Wed 17-Mar-21 13:31:57

But we do know Bridgeitconfused. We know what Gayle King has said on CBS and we know that so far, nothing has been said by H or M to contradict her claims.

In a situation like this ayse the only way to win the game is to stop playing, so I hope that's what the RF does which IMO would include not making contact with H for the foreseeable future.

Smileless2012 Wed 17-Mar-21 13:37:50

I cannot express strongly enough how I despise that saying Bridgeit. You don't stop being a son because you get married and any wife who thinks her husband should, better hope that if they have sons they wont marry someone who feels as they do.

Let's not seek to justify what's happening to the RF, and what is and has happened to countless families when an AC becomes involved with a manipulative and controlling partner.

M certainly appears to have stopped being her father's D doesn't she.
