Noises and words you love!

I love the sound of the sea, waves coming in to shore, and birds singing (especially robins)!

The smell of newly mown grass.

Love the smell of sleepy cat's tummy and sleepy dog's feet; I used love the smell of my knees after playing in the sun as a child... my mum would tell me off for sniffing them. I might have to surreptitiously sniff those of my GC when they're a little bigger after they've been in the sun haha. I also used to sniff the cushions of our sofa as a child... hmmm, obviously liked earthy smells? I think I can live without retrying that one.

As kids we played at a disused W11 aerodrome site which was to be turned into a housing estate.
I used to imagine the aircraft taking off and the one thing that stands out most was the desertion of wildlife never seeing a bird or hearing their song.

Smells: ginger, cooking bread, tar on the road. I used to get in trouble for collecting deliciously shiny
globules in my school hat on hot days on the walk home from school. Loved the noise of shuffling through horse chestnut leaves, also on the way home. I used to get into so much trouble!

Desert Flower Talc (unfortunately I can't buy it any more) and Elnett Hair Spray remind me of the 60's and my hay day.

The smell of newly mown grass, steam trains when they go under a bridge, toast or cakes baking. I remember the smell of the calves and sweet hay from when I used to visit my uncles farm when I was very small. It brings back a warm and cosy memory.

Sight- a little secluded beach in Pefkos, Rhodes when I am coming down the slope & see there is no-one there but me! I can have it to myself for most of the day.

Mum and dad bought me a leather writing case when I first left home many years ago. I kept it in its box so I could smell the leather for longer.

I love the smells of fresh cut grass, good quality sweet smelling meadow hay, fresh baked bread and fresh coffee.

I love the sound of excited grandchildren shouting ‘Grandma!’ when I visit (I’ve really missed that one, been over a year now ?). I also love the sound of happy children playing together.

I’ve just read through these again, thank you all so much for the happy thoughts, we need this at the moment.
I’ve just thought of a strange one, I’ve always loved the smell of Germolene!

I used to love the sound of rain on the roof in my little caravan when I was lying in bed with the electric blanket on and a mug of hot chocolate on the go.
Now I love the sound of my daughter’s car arriving and my son’s motorbike (when allowed).
Any scent with lime in it is a great pleasure too.

I love the smell of ferrets, the happy warbling sound my degus make when they're happy.
