I know I’ve missed commenting on many other happenings today, by the time I’ve finished reading I’ve forgotten the names of earlier posters.

Beautiful blue sky here in West Sussex but increasingly breezy. Your washing should dry well jaybee.

We emptied our bags of compost and topsoil for allotment and garden. The top soil had to come through the house but my lovely neighbour saw us struggling to fill and carry plastic sacks and came over with two small plastic tubs with handles which were easy to fill and carry so it was just lots of walking back and forth. The big builders bags look like a lot of soil but now that it’s in the garden it just looks like rather oversized molehills and we will probably need at least one more bag to level up the beds. We have solid clay under very shallow soil so I’m hoping that raising the level will enable a greater variety of plants to thrive.

Stunning sunset Taichinan and i love the Japanese pottery along with the cherry blossom aggie. Lilies are not my favourite flowers but they do look lovely in the church Ashcombe. Hope sunshine has followed the promising sunrise in Glasgow Marydoll. Lambs, dogs and cat also much enjoyed S&C, Bellasnana and - oh bother I can’t remember whose the very comfy cat on new bed is - I will go back and look when I’ve posted this .

Glad to hear of progress in health for some and hope for the same for those suffering with ongoing problems. for all who need them.

Beechnut, we gave up using a valance when we discovered a big spider on the bed. It had climbed up the valance. No bedding should ever touch the floor, just spiders ladders in my opinion.
Everyone have a good day and I hope all grans with health problems and worries will find that things improve as the day wears on.

Just came back to wish, Sheep a very happy birthday. The sun is shining here, it is just the tonic needed to lift my spirits.
That and a socially distanced gossip with my two pals across the road, while poor DD dealt with the Tesco delivery (and I supervised) has made my day

A very late good morning from a wet Northampton. Posting now and then will go back and read everyone's news. I had a bad night, just couldn't get off, then finally slept from about 5am-ish to 9.30.

Was hoping it was going to stay dry so that I could cut the grass this weekend, no such luck. Still, plenty to do indoors.

No plans for today except the usual stuff: reading, sudoku, crosswords, and of course my knitting. May run the hoover over upstairs.

Ashcombe. Beautiful photo thank you. Our church has been closed now for over a year but there are a couple of lovely benches outside where I can sit and have a little think and prayer.
I have had the vaccination and a few days of feeling odd and nauseous might be coincidence but it has lifted my mood.
Mick. Hope you are feeling more settled.
I am thinking about starting some seeds inside. The risk of frost is very high.

Good morning Mick and all from a partly sunny S Welsh coast. We have been lucky for the workmen to have had a fine few days to extend the patio, they will finish the other work by next Wednesday. The sleepers to edge the garden are green, would have preferred brown but no matter, difficult to source apparently so we're grateful to have those. We have my Mother's Day gift of Afternoon Tea being delivered this afternoon, so looking forward to that.

Today we will take the car for a spin and I hope DH will happen to stop near Argos in Knaresborough. I need to buy more Barbie clothes for DGDs birthday, then stop somewhere to get pink paint to paint the Barbie wardrobe I am making out of boxes.
This pm I promised myself I shall make the chocolate frm the kit given to me on mother's day, and sample the Kombucha Tea I have been brewing. This evening I have my Zoom call to my sisters - Wow! Hope i'm not as busy s it looks!!

Good morning everyone. It's a lovely fairweather Spring morning here in the Gower.

I may have overdone things yesterday in the end as I'm still feeling foggy this morning. Then again it might be those hours my WP spent sorting out the security on all our tech stuff, I don't know who suffered the most but it was certainly a nightmare!
Apart from my WP finally having his jab this evening today should be a relatively quiet one. Well that's the plan anyway ?

Good morning all from a cloudy Angus coast where it feels cooler today. Mind you it's been cloudy most mornings and each day has then been glorious, so my fingers are crossed for the same today. We had the most amazing sunset yesterday - I shall try to attach a photo.
The best news yesterday - DGD has received another 'unconditional', this time to the degree course at the Scottish School of Contemporary Dance! This is her first choice and the one she will accept, and we're all over the moon for her. Let's hope that the world has got this pesky virus under control by September so that they can have a normal, uninterrupted session.
I missed a day on here yesterday - too much sunshine and time spent outside! A friend came up and we had tai chi, a cuppa and lots of chat - such a joy. I'm beginning to feel a different person and more like the pre-Covid me.

To those having to watch a DD going through pain and hard times, you have my sympathy. There is nothing worse than watching your child hurt and being unable to "kiss it better".

I did laugh out loud at your recent description of your misconception of me the other day Grandmafrench. I started having 'low lights' in my hair about 35 years ago and gradually they took over and now I am completely blonde white!

Indeed Grandmajet - happy memories. We took our children up to Glasgow to see Stanley Baxter in panto many times as a Christmas treat. They loved it .

Middling Cornwall but it's dry . ~More digging today. A trench for the new sleepers that will become a raised bed again. The sciatic hip is standing up to the work.
