Have a marvellous day, dear dusty and may you ‘have your cake and eat it’ - now and every day. ????

"Stilllearning" My thoughts and prayers for your friend's loss of her dear son. It can't be easy to losing a child and my heart goes out to her. Please pass on my condolences to her won't you x

Good morning everyone from a cloudy Gower but it is trying to brighten up.

I won't dwell on the most recent shedload of seizures I've had except to say I'm exhausted and I thoroughly dislike, almost with a vengeance, the extra medication I have to take each time another bout starts. Hopefully I'll find a jar with a scraping of energy in it for me to use today, especially since my WP and me have to go out - no choice. Perhaps it's what I need to help to reinvigorate me anyway?. Apart from that just my group quiz today ?

I hope your back to back hospital appointments go well today Mick.
Good luck with your medical MOTs today Gelisijam and Jaxjacky.

? Such difficult tasks to do Georgesgran, be gentle with yourself.
Ashcombe, it's not surprising that your are feeling down, despondent and frustrated in your situation parted from your DH as you are. It can be hard parted from the person you love in the best of times ???

Happy Birthday Dustyangel, I hope you have a pleasant day ? ? ?
Thank you for your well wishes each day Susan and Lins, it means a lot to me.

Take care everyone and stay safe ❤️

Morning all. Yesterday my husband (and Daughter in law plus many others I guess) got Gov. letter saying shielding is ‘finished’ on April 1st. Interesting date! Now thinking we may actually go to a supermarket-whatever that is - and see people. Usual precautions still in place and family won’t visit for some time yet however the end is in view ??

Bellasnana Tue 23-Mar-21 09:51:19

Happy birthday Dustyangel hope you have a pleasant day.????

LauraNorder Tue 23-Mar-21 09:31:07

Good morning all from Anglesey where it’s dry but cloudy.
We had the most wonderful weekend. No tv or radio at all, no laptop or phone. Walked on our long deserted beach, collected razor clam shells, did some gardening, danced to Barry White, Tina Turner and even a bit of ABBA. Read, sang, chatted.
An amazing detox from all the angst going on around us and lots of flamingos ?
Return to reality yesterday, but it was nice while it lasted.
I’ll go back now and catch up with all your news but meanwhile I see we have a birthday.
Happy Birthday ? Dustyangel, enjoy your day and eat cake ?.
Hope you all find a random pink flamingo today
???

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny Northampton. More gardening planned for this afternoon; I got all the weeding done yesterday, trying out the new kneeler; it was lovely to have something to lean on when getting up. Shall go round all the weeded borders this afternoon with the garden fork. Have ordered some weedkiller to spray on the patio and driveway.

Have got the towels in the washing machine, and will have a run around with the Shark downstairs as I've spied clumps of cat fur on the carpet. The cats get brushed every evening but they still manage to shed lots of fur during the day.

Hope everyone's day has a ray of sunshine in it somewhere.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where it has been disappointingly cold the past couple of days.
I have skimmed through your posts, have paid my bills online and am in a rush to get to my zoom yoga class so will come back later.
Sounds as though Georgesgran is bravely dealing with her DH's things. Well done. I haven't touched a thing in 4 months. Nobody is allowed in to help so that's my excuse. Also the charity shops and the recycle centres (the tip) are all closed down and I can't put everything in the compost.

Good luck at the hospital Mick
Happy Birthday Dustyangel
Such a horrible shock stillearning

Take care everyone and Pinchy grin

Taichinan Tue 23-Mar-21 09:23:49

Good morning everyone. It's a grey cloudy day on the Angus coast, but brighter looking north. (I shall keep looking north!)
Having a busy spell just now due to trying to organise Tai Chi on the Beach and keep within the rapidly changing guidelines, so haven't had time to read the thread at all yet this morning. I'll get there later.
It was another glorious day again here yesterday, so another friend came up for a couple of sets of tai chi and a distanced cuppa in the garden. Hopefully I'm becoming fitter again!
Must go and address the latest email that has just dropped in, so I wish you all a pleasant, contented sunny day with the occasional flamingo dropping by. Take care. ????

Happy birthday dustyangel ???

Greyduster Tue 23-Mar-21 09:13:28

Happy Birthday Dustyangel??. Have a lovely day!

Grannyme6 Tue 23-Mar-21 09:03:54

I must be honest Urmston, it’s only a group lesson once a week but I love it! Otherwise, it’s Pilates, (don’t love it but I know it does me good) and low impact stuff when I feel like it.?

Grandmabatty Tue 23-Mar-21 09:01:54

DustyAngel Happy birthday to you. Kate oops! I don't think the fish man would be impressed if I dragged him off to the park! I should know better.

Oldbutstilluseful Tue 23-Mar-21 09:00:59

Dreadful news Stilllearning. It happened to someone I know and your friend will be in shock for a long time. All we can do is keep you and your friend in our thoughts.
Grandmabatty, thank you for raising a smile at the thought of you taking your fish man for a walk!
Thank you to everyone for your daily posts which really help me through the day, and a special shout-out to Grandmafrench whose wise words always hit the spot.
Be kind to yourselves, you all deserve a flamboyance of flamingos ?

Greyduster Tue 23-Mar-21 08:54:19

Good morning Michael and all GNs. A covering of cloud in South Yorkshire this morning. We got a lot of garden jobs done yesterday in lovely sunshine. Down on my knees clearing couch grass and weeds off the rockery has taken its toll - I can hardly move this morning, but it now looks shipshape again! But i have to keep reminding myself of how early in the year it still is to be doing some jobs out there. Nothing much planned for today except a couple of phone calls to make, and get on with my knitting. My thought are with all who have a heavy burden to shoulder?.
A safe day to one and all.

Kate54 Tue 23-Mar-21 08:53:50

Good morning from grey, chilly South Lincolnshire. Don’t often post but read every morning. A lovely (unintentional?) laugh from grandmabatty to put me in a good mood - please don’t take the fishman to the park! You’re probably a bit too old for that sort of shenanigans!
Thinking of all of you with sadnesses to bear.

Beauregard Tue 23-Mar-21 08:49:25

Happy birthday dustyangel have a lovely day flowers

dragonfly46 Tue 23-Mar-21 08:48:24

Good morning the sun is almost out.

It is my DGS’s 3rd birthday today. We have only heard him talk on FaceTime. We will get to see our loved ones again Ashcombe we have to!

Such devastating news stillearning.

Sending you courage Georgesgran. Fortunately the wonderful Carehome staff are clearing mum’s room.

Nannagarra Tue 23-Mar-21 08:47:00

Good morning from the Sefton coast where it is a bit chilly.
Your spelt rolls sound delish Pantglas2. I can’t say the same for my loaf made from emmer flour - such an acquired taste that the birds have swerved it too!
I’m not surprised you were on a downer Ashcombe. Fingers crossed that you and your DH will soon be reunited.
Still, your post is really shocking. Your poor friend will be in my thoughts.
Good on Mrgaga for becoming involved in the garden. He seems very positive and on the mend which must be a relief for you Gaga.
Love the garden flamingo Dwm. Flamingoes, coloured lights - ooh, yes, I’m up for it!
The monocular arrived yesterday. I’d misunderstood: the phone can be attached to it, not the other way round. (My thoughts had veered off onto olloclips.) It’s 2/3 of the weight of the one I already have so I’m doubtful if we’ll keep it.
DH currently at the supermarket but I may involve him in the hunt for summer flowering bulbs later.
The mood today seems a bit more more upbeat than it was yesterday. Sending hope and hugs. ?????

Anniebach Tue 23-Mar-21 08:46:22

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

dustyangel Tue 23-Mar-21 08:45:42

Good Morning all, I’ve brought my cup of tea back to bed where DH is already snoring again having woken up briefly to put a birthday card on my pillow. I hadn’t realised that mine was just one day after your daughter’s Bellasnana. Another one in lockdown unfortunately. I haven’t caught up with your posts yet but have seen the photographs. A beautiful flamingo, a lovely card and cow’s kicking up their heels in joy. What more could I want ?. I hope to go out for a drive later and maybe see the sea. We haven’t been going as far as that but it’s only half an hour away and it would be. lovely today. I’ll look out for flamingos on the way. ???

Alygran Tue 23-Mar-21 08:45:41

Good morning from North Yorkshire where it’s cloudy and breezy.
It was a beautiful day yesterday and I had a lovely walk with a friend.
Today is zoom day with 3 different get together relating to my charity work. I’ll have to fit my steps in somewhere between!
Stilleaning flowers for you and your friend.
Georgesgran it’s such a hard task.I kept one or two of DH’s things. DD2 borrows his body warmer when she is here.
I hope everyone finds some joy today, one year on from lockdown.
Stay safe.

Jaxjacky Tue 23-Mar-21 08:44:24

Good morning all from an overcast S Hants, Mick hope your tests go well and you get a little cycling in too. Stilllearning horrific, thoughts with your friend.
Gaga MrG must have spotted a flamingo yesterday! And Georgesgran a sad task, to be tackled as and when ?
I have an appointment with the nurse this morning, mini MOT, weight, height, bloods. BP measurements I took last week were emailed in on Friday. I spent a couple of hours yesterday afternoon on my voluntary work, matching up people requesting, generally hospital, lifts with the voluntary drivers. A lot of requesters are lonely and like a chat, so it’s doubly useful.
Have a gentle day all, may the ? or a ? bring you cheer.

Urmstongran Tue 23-Mar-21 08:40:26

Fit for tennis GrannyMe? I thought at first you meant watching it on tv! Now I find you’re one of them energetic folks I hear about ...
??

Good morning from sunny Colchester with fluffy clouds in the sky.
Everyone in the street was out and gardening yesterday in the sunshine, so we met a lot of our new neighbours.
A walk to Aldi and finishing the ironing today. A bit more weeding and mooching in the garden too.
DH power washed the drive and patio which is a completely different colour than we imagined.

Sending love to stilllearning and all xx
