Before covid I wouldn’t go anywhere without foundation mascara lipstick, but now it’s just mascara. And actually I love to feel the fresh air on my face, who would have thought!

Yes, every day. I always did before retiring so felt no need to let things go after that! Likewise the pandemic, going without makeup and living in pyjamas would have been giving in to the horrible life imposed on us - it has been one of the ways for me to have some sort of normality to life to continue as I always have.

I have always loved makeup. Nearly every day I apply a very light foundation, undereye concealer, eyepencil, mascara, eyebrow pencil, blusher and lipgloss. Sounds a lot but only takes me a couple of minutes. Look so much better with it on. Today I am decorating so no makeup on at all. I do keep what I use very light and subtle and have changed the products I use as my skin has matured. Nothing expensive and I can recommend Aldi's caviar day and night creams.

Always told you can’t make a silk purse out of a sow’s ear - so no

Hardly ever. If I was going to a wedding or something, I’d use tinted moisturiser, a bit of lipstick, a pale eyeshadow and some mascara. It’s mainly because I can’t apply it! When I see the difference in photos of glamorous souls with and without their makeup, it makes me think that I should have made more of myself it the past.

Moisturiser every day. Tinted moisturiser for work or visiting, plus lipliner, lipstick and gloss, and eye makeup. It makes me feel good.

On days when I stay at home, I just wear bronzer powder as blusher and lip gloss.
When going out, I wear light foundation, nude eye shadow, grey eye pencil, mascara (although I sometimes give it a miss, as it tend to ends up under my eyes) and nude-ish lipstick.
Would never go to any function bare faced. Never!!!

Most definitely, every day! I dont know anybody who doesn't look better with make up on!

mrsgreenfingers56 Mon 12-Apr-21 13:05:04

Always wear make up every day whatever. Look so much better, feel better and improves every woman I think. Obviously changed shades as I have got older.

Not a big user of makeup. Only when going on a night out. But... I have been getting my eyebrows and eyelashes dyed since I was 16 (I’m now 61!!). At the moment the dyed ones have fallen out leaving just very pale white ones so I occasionally use mascara. Waiting for beauticians to reopen in Scotland so I can get them dyed again. Moisturise every day and always put sunscreen on when I’m going out.

I have never worn foundation in my life and stopped using eye makeup daily when I was mid twenties and having babies. Last time I tried mascara (for a wedding) it tickled so much trying to put it on I gave up.
My granddaughter was amazed when she found some really old makeup in a drawer and insisted on making me up - it soon came off again.

Always wear moisturiser, foundation ,blush, lip balm / lipstick but no eye makeup unless special occasion. Have to make myself look a bit human ?

snowyboots Mon 12-Apr-21 12:30:35

No, don’t even own any make up now. Got rid of it all years ago.

Happysexagenarian Mon 12-Apr-21 12:29:13

Very, very, VERY rarely. Maybe a touch of mascara and blusher for a wedding or special occasion. Don't really like the feel of makeup.

nipsmum Mon 12-Apr-21 12:21:17

No I don't or should I say can't wear make. I developed an allergy to most cosmetics in the early 2000s so had to stop wearing it. I have to spray even perfume on my clothes if I need to.

Always:
My routine is cleanse tone and moisturize and then put on my make-up. Make-up being foundation, blusher, eyebrow pencil,
sometimes eye-liner always mascara. Never forgetting to clean it off at night and put on some night cream.
I have done this since I was 16 years old and until I feel too old to do it shall continue.

icanhandthemback Mon 12-Apr-21 11:55:19

I only wear make up for weddings and fancy nights out. Even then, it is a little foundation to cover up the redness, eye liner and mascara. After an hour I generally look like a panda because it makes my eyes itch. I've never really been into makeup, it just seems a lot of faff.

Sunnysideup Mon 12-Apr-21 11:52:05

Yes, always. I have standards to keep up!!

grandtanteJE65 Mon 12-Apr-21 11:48:33

I no longer wear make-up every day and after a year of lockdowns of various strengths I am not sure I shall start wearing make-up again.

The old woman who looks back at me from the mirror, will, I suspect, look rather ridiculous wearing mascara and eye-shadow and probably remind me of my grandmother describing women as "mutton dressed as lamb".

However, I may try working out a suitable make-up for this old woman who I am having a hard time accepting is me!

Nannashirlz Mon 12-Apr-21 11:45:59

If I’m staying home I don’t wear any but if going shopping yes I do makes me feel dressed and you never know who you will meet being single only way going to meet anyone not that I would date mask lol

Yammy Mon 12-Apr-21 11:42:10

Yes, about 4 days out of 7. When I think I might be Facetimed by family. My grandaughter thought I was ill when she saw me with my highlights grown out and grey hair, which seemed to change the colour of my skin and eyes. She had a crying fit.
Coloured moisturiser, blusher, eye shadow and mascara.

I put on a new dress and make up and did my hair with more attention for a zoom call with my friends at the weekend. My husband was so appreciative and I said I would wear dresses more often. Couldn't be less often as I always wear trousers. He was looking at dresses the next day in the Country Casuals add. in the newspaper and saying that a couple of them would suit me. They are having a change of image and not everything looks 'old lady' anymore. So I just need to get on with making more effort now.

micky987 Mon 12-Apr-21 11:38:01

Oh the whole works. Foundation, eyebrow filling, eyeshadow, mascara AND false lashes, highlighter, lip liner, lipstick etc. I’m might sound like a fright but without it I’m very scary looking. With it on I look like Nancy D’Olio but as I get older and my eyesight deteriorates, I’m sure I’ll look just like Barbara Cartland. Can’t wait...

amazonia Mon 12-Apr-21 11:35:24

I'm very ruddy faced with pale eyelashes so always a touch of foundation and mascara. I look so tired and piggy eyed without it.

greenlady102 Mon 12-Apr-21 11:35:20

never have done, never will do

glammanana Mon 12-Apr-21 11:29:05

I don't feel awake with out my tinted moisturizer always with a SF built in and lip gloss with or without a mask it stops my lips drying out anything that makes you feel good about yourself and brightens your day is fine in my book.
