Covid 19 destroys brain cells!
Proof!?
A recent passenger flight from Perth WA to Brisbane was 5 hours late taking off due to engineering problems. Distance 3600km; flight time 5hr 30min.
Half way across it was announced that Brisbane was locked to visitors from Perth due to an extra few +ve cases being announced in Perth.
So passengers couldn’t go home on arrival, but were whisked off to a quarantine hotel for the regulation 14 days!
If the plane had not been delayed everyone would have arrived in Brisbane well before the lockdown.
You wouldn’t read about i! I’ve been on the lookout for news that the lock-up has been rescinded, but not so far!
I’m reminded of Anthony Newley (I think!) with “Stop the World, I want to get off!) grin

But back to the real world; City beat Spurs! Now I can watch the game on TV tomorrow.

Two excellent progs on TV this evening; The effect of Covid on the Tower of London back in 2020. Virtually no visitors, the prime source of funding, until the decision was finally made to shut the gate, depriving all the wildlife of visitors’ tit-bits.

“Secret Scotland” a continuing series hosted by a tubby lady, whose name I can never remember. This evening she was talking to a gentleman in a caravan on the shore of Loch Ness. He’s been there for years apparently, equipped with camera and telescope, waiting for a glimpse if “The Monster”, but with no luck so far! hmm

Our”Over 80s” Club starts up again Thursday face-to-face, replacing Zoom!
Council has diverted some of our funds elsewhere, so we have to make do with fewer party pies and cream cakes. How the mighty have fallen! sad

ANZAC Day was unlike any other with lighted candles at front doors. It was cool, of course being at dawn, but fortunately there was no rain to dampen spirits!

What a terrible tragedy for all those submariners to lose their lives like that.
Must have been absolutely frightening!

Weather has been monotonous for days; continuous cloud but no rain, and very cool unlike Wales!
However, a scorcher is forecast for Thursday 24C.

Good afternoon Rufus2. Quite chilly and dull here. Lockdown has now lifted. We went into town to hand in watches for repair and it was mobbed. A complete transformation overnight. It was as though Covid had never happened.
Re Loch Ness: my great, great, Uncle Francis was the water bailiff on Loch Ness. A very serious chap. Pillar of the Kirk sort of thing. One day he was rowing along the shore when a large pointed head on a long narrow neck came up out of the water next to his boat. He was very startled and kept rowing fast. That was back in the early 1930s. Knowing the man, the family has no doubt that happened. Goodness knows what it was or whether it's still there.
Susan Calman is that presenter. She's very popular. Do you ever watch QI? She's sometimes a guest on that and is very funny.
Well, off to put a washing on - and I'll not be hanging it out!

Hi Rufus, told you City would win! ??well done. My ex laws used to live in Drumnadrochit, close to Loch Ness, the monster, real or not, provides a fair bit of income locally. We’re promised rain on Wednesday, hope so, it’s badly needed, not just me but the farmers too. Fewer parties and cakes...could do better.
Take care ?
